Welch’s 100% Juice White Grape Pomegranate Flavored Juice Blend Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

If you purchased Welch’s® 100% Juice White Grape Pomegranate Flavored Juice Blend at some time from 2007 to the present, you could be entitled to benefits under a class action settlement.

A class action settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Welch Foods Inc. (“Welch Foods” or “Welch” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Central District of California (styled Burcham v. Welch Foods, Inc., CV-09-05946 AHM (AGRx) and Courtney v. Welch Foods, Inc., SA CV 10-01427-AHM (AGRx)) alleging, among other things, that the name, label and advertising of Welch’s 100% Juice White Grape Pomegranate flavored juice blend from concentrate is deceptive because it implies that the Welch’s 100% Juice White Grape Pomegranate flavored juice blend from concentrate contains more pomegranate juice than it actually does, according to the Welch’s 100% Juice White Grape Pomegranate flavored juice blend from concentrate class action lawsuit settlement notice.

The Welch’s 100% Juice White Grape Pomegranate settlement class reportedly includes anyone, unless otherwise excluded, who purchased Welch’s 100% Juice White Grape Pomegranate flavored juice blend from concentrate in the United States during the period from July 1, 2007 through the date of entry of final judgment in this matter.

This is absolutely absurd and ridiculous! I am a college graduate within the science field and I cannot even find a lawyer to file a class action lawsuit against Pfizer and Wyeth for undisclosed Effexor withdrawal effects that last for years. There are thousands of individuals out there, like me, and some have even commited acts of crime and murder because of these withdrawal symptoms and side effects. However, some uneducated housewife has convinced a lawyer to file a class action lawsuit against a juice company for having inadequate fruit proportions within juice. Really?

I am responding because I like what Amy said in her retort on this subject. I agree that there are so many devistating products on the market that vicitimize people, including ILD Teleservices because they financially abuse people, that this juice issue seems very shallow indeed.

Cheers Amy! I couldn’t agree more. I found this page by searching for whether any successful lawsuit was ever filed against Wyeth/Pfizer for undisclosed and horrendous effexor withdrawal symptoms that Amy, I, and hundreds of thousands of others have experienced.

Sadly, pharmaceutical companies have all the $$$ and therefore control the law and the FDA in general. It’s a disgrace.

I’m actually very surprised this juice thing went through since big food corporations control the food regulations through FDA too, as I found while working for a state food regulation agency and interacting with FDA and trying to enforce FDA food laws which have no teeth.

There had to be some reason (i.e., some big payout for some rich/powerful person) this went through.

    Complete disgrace.
