Monsanto Class Action Settlement Of A Medical Monitoring Lawsuit Against Monsanto Over Agent Orange Upheld By Supreme Court of West Virginia.

West Virginia’s Supreme Court has reportedly affirmed a lower court ruling approving a $93 million class action settlement of a lawsuit filed against Monsanto in Putnam County West Virginia alleging that a Monsanto chemical plant polluted the Nitro area with a dioxin known as 2, 4, 5 trichlorophenoxyacidic acid that was used by the military in Vietnam as Agent Orange that purtportedly has been linked to various health related issues, such as birth defects, cancer, infertility, learning disabilities, etc.

Under the Monsanto Agent Orange medical monitoring settlement, Monstanto will reportedly provide a thirty year medical monitoring fund of up to $84 million and will pay up to $9 million to clean homes in the Nitro area.
