Hartford Life Insurance ERISA Class Action Settlement Notice

A class action settlement (the “Settlement”) has been reached in a lawsuit filed against Hartford Life Insurance Company (Phones Plus, Inc. v. Hartford Life Insurance Company, No. 3:06-cv-01835) in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut that reportedly claimed that Hartford Life breached its fiduciary duties under ERISA and engaged in prohibited transactions through “revenue sharing” arrangements with mutual fund companies, according to the Hartford Life Insurance ERISA class action settlement notice.

Hartford Life Insurance has agreed to pay a total of $13,775,000 in cash to settle the class action case.

    On my 1099-R payment, there was no Distribution code listed. Turbo tax indicates I need one. Left a message on the contact number. Any help?
