Court Approves $153 Million Class Action Settlement Of Securities Fraud Lawsuit Against Federal National Mortgage Association | Fannie Mae Class Action Settlement

Fannie Mae class actionA securities fraud class action lawsuit against Federal National Mortgage Association (“Fannie Mae”) has reportedly been given final court approval.  The Fannie Mae class action case, styled In re Federal National Mortgage Association Securities, Derivative, and ERISA Litigation, MDL No. 1668, In Re Fannie Mae Securities Litigation, Civil Action No. 04-1639 (RJL), was filed in the United State District Court for the District of Columbia and alleged that Federal National Mortgage Association or Fannie Mae and its executives violated federal securities laws and engaged in securities fraud by allegedly manipulating earnings and violating Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or GAAP.  According to the opinion granting final approval of the Federal National Mortgage Association Fannie Mae class action settlement, the $153 million settlement is “the largest securities class action settlement in our Circuit since the PSLRA went into effect in 1996.”

    I would like to know how to join the class, bank of america said they wasn’t liable that fannie mae foreclosed on my home.

    I think that some one need to look in to fannie mae student loan statement they are doing wrong to people to. you pay 8yrs. on a 4,000.000 dollar loan they take it all your refund money time you get a raise from the grovement they get it to.i know I should be through paying that loan you call them no one will talk to you and can write you will not get and answer back.some one need to tell us what to do or help with this matter some of us are on a fix income I know I am.

    SALLIE MAE NEED TO BE LOOKED IN TO ABOUT THEIR LOAN THEY ARE WRONG THE WAY THEYARE TAKING MONEY OUT OF SENIOR CITIZEN CHECKS AND THE GOV. ARE LETING THEM GET AWAY WITH IT. WHEN WILL IT STOP. I GUESS WHEN WE ARE DEAD.
