A class action lawsuit was filed against McAfee in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (Case No. 10-1455-HRL) alleging that after customers buy McAfee software from McAfee’s website, a deceptive pop-up ad appears that looks like the rest of the McAfee page that thanks customers for their purchase and asks them to click a “Try it Now” button, which they claim tricks them into subscribing to Arpu, according to a Courthouse News class action news report.
