Boston Scientific Securities Class Action Lawsuit Filed

Boston Scientific Investors File Securities Class Action Lawsuit Against Boston Scientific

A securities class action lawsuit was filed against Boston Scientific in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on behalf of purchasers of Boston Scientific Corporation (“BSX”) common stock during the period between April 20, 2009 and March 12, 2010, inclusive (the “Class Period”), for alleged violations of the federal securities laws, according to a class action press release.

The Boston Scientific securities class action complaint reportedly alleges, among other things, that the defendants made materially false and misleading statements regarding BSX’s business and prospects, including statements about Boston Scientific’s sales and demand for BSX CRM products that allegedly had been inflated by the payment of illegal and improper inducements to health care professionals and that Boston Scientific’s CRM reported or anticipated revenues resulted from the sale of products which had been manufactured without required FDA approval, such that they were subject to recall and refund or replacement.
