Very interesting…….. allow me to begin by saying that I was an advocate for Muscle Milk until recently. I have used it for well over 7 years. However, my recent purchase I noticed the new label. I preceded to read the nutritional facts on the back and was surprised at what i saw. The amount of potassium had been lowered considerably. Enough to the point that the sodium content was greater. This is not a healthy combination and should be a major concern to any individual attempting to live a “healthy lifestyle”.

The lowered potassium level allows the body to absorb the sodium full force which can lead to numerous health consequences?. High Blood pressure, water retention, osteoporosis, kidney stones, etc, just to name a few”.

As I’ve mentioned before I’ve used Muscle Milk for many years and have recommended the product to many people. However, with this “new” formula I can no longer. I have emailed the company but my concern seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I spoke to a few distributors for Cytosport products and was informed that “Cytosport seems to rely on their established reputation, similar to an “Inflated Ego”, and a “do what we want” attitude”.

I guess this attitude would fall inline with them quietly modifying the potassium to sodium ratio.

To think I wouldn’t have noticed it if I hadn’t read the new label. So glad i did.

Needless to say, I am now in search of a decent protein powder
