A class action lawsuit has been filed against Toshiba America Nuclear Energy (TANE) Corporation and its parent corporation Toshiba America, Inc. (collectively “Toshiba” or “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York alleging, among other things, that Toshiba engages in gender discrimination against female employees by paying them less than male employees with respect to salary, benefits and bonuses, denying women promotions, limiting females employment opportunities to lower and less desirable job classifications, and exposing women to different treatment than male employees, according to a Toshiba gender discrimination class action lawsuit news report.
