I am actually surprised to read about this. I have worked with KPMG India for a period of 13 months after a long stint with another big 4 and industry.
I encountered an extremely hostile environment and gender based harassment which classify as sexual harassment. For some reason, though there is a direction from Supreme Court of India in 1997 that all employers should follow Vishaka Guidelines, and HR manual was silent on the Inquiry Committee and onlu encouraged victims of such offensive behaviour to ‘ Speak With HR or Reporting partner ‘.
In my case, when nothing happend, I escalated to the Oversight Board which had Partners from US, UK, Singapore Practice. However, soon thereafter, I was terminated with no inquiry and rather, I was told that all my allegations are baseless, but there was no inquiry held.
I escalated to International Ethics Committee throug theit hotline reporting who responded that ‘ it was not within their jurisidiction’
So, I have been fighting a legal battle in a country that is in the news for various levels of corruption and civil society fighting for a LoKPal Bill.

Are the email addresses also made public. The reason I ask is that I do not want any backlash through offensive emails to me.
