Chrysler Dodge Journey Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Filed Over Chrysler Dodge Journey Brake Pads & Brake Rotors

August 27, 2010

Chrysler Dodge Journey Owners and Lessees File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Chrysler Over Alleged Defects In the Dodge Journey’s Braking System’s Brake Pads and Rotors.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Chrysler Group LLC (“Chrysler” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (styled Gabriella Tatum and Jamie Meyer v. Chrysler Group LLC, Civil Case No. 2:10-cv-04269-DMC -JAD) alleging, among other things, that the 2009 and 2010 Chrysler Dodge Journey suffers from a design defect in its braking system in that the brake pads and rotors are too small and thin to handle the braking duties required by the size and weight of the Chrysler Dodge Journey purportedly resulting in an increase in brake wear and causing brakes to potentially fail as early as 12,000 miles, requiring early replacement of brake pads or shaving or resurfacing of brake rotors, according to class action lawsuit news reports.

The Chrysler Dodge Journey brake pad and brake rotor class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of the following class of persons, unless otherwise excluded:

All (i) current owners or lessees of a 2009 or 2010 Dodge Journey in New Jersey or California; and (ii) former owners or lessees of a 2009 or 2010 Journey in New Jersey of California who paid for a repair related to the Braking System (the “Class”).

The Chrysler Dodge Journey brake pad and brake rotor class action lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges statutory violations of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (N.J.C.F.A.), N.J.S.A 56:8-1 et seq., California Consumers Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), Cal. Civ. Code § 1750 et seq., California Unfair Competition Law (UCL), Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17200 et seq. and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq., and breach of express warranty.

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased my 2010 Journey. I had to have the rotors and brake pads replaced at 6000 miles or so and have had them replaced 2 more times after that! The truck only has 14,500 miles on it! I have an infant and the last thing I need is faulty breaks on my vehicle.

I have 2009 dodge journey..what a pain it has been to own this car.i had to replace the brakes and rotors at 16,000 miles and again at 29,000 miles.we had after market parts which were top of the line rotors and brake pads and again had to replace brakes..so it must not be the brakes or rotors it must be something causing them to go bad.would be nice if chrysler would own up and fix it.I do travel with my kids in the car and it is sad that they don’t care about fixing it.

Same story with all paperwork showing from 1k after buying my new 2009 to today’s nightmare. This is my 4th time in and numerous calls in and had brakes rotors and more done over and over.. They are trying to charge me today… AGAIN. I would love more information on how to join this or if there is one filed in CT.

My story is a repeat of almost everyone here. On our third set of breaks and rotors and have to change them again. With only 30,000 miles. My last car had over 100,000 miles and only needed the breaks changed once. Figured out why it is caused a dodge. (That is the only thing you can do when your breaks fail.) I would like info on how to join this suit.

I bought this 2009 Dodge Journey in April, 2011. Was used. I paid over 10,000 dollars cash for this vehicle. Had it one week when the window on the passenger side wouldn’t work, took to local Dodge Shop was told would take over 400 dollars, and than they didn’t know if this would fix the problem. I said no way. Then the engine light came on, I again took to dealer, was told it was some sort of fuel problem, was charged over 100 dollars to do a scan on my vehicle (2009 Dodge Journey). Now, as of this date, (09/30/2011) I was in the mountains and my brakes didn’t feel like they should. They were hard to mash down. I was so scared. So now I will take it to service dept. to check brakes. I am sooo feed up with this 2009 Dodge Journey. I want my money back.

Someone please help? I have a 2010 Dodge Journey. It has been serviced 4 times due to brake problems. I missed IL Lemon Law by one month. 2 weeks ago while my children and I were driving brake light flashed on(did not stay on just flashed) brakes went out we were nearly hit by a train because I could not stop. Dodge said they would do a trade in voucher to use for purchase of different car. The service said my car is not safe they can not figure out why this is happening. Well one year ago I paid cash out the door 31000. Car is paid off. They are offering me a credit of 18,000. I said what the hell am i suppose to buy for 18,000. They said that is the best they can do. So I am totally screwed. I don’t have anymore money for a car as I gave them all of it last year. What do I do now. Oh and they said voucher can only be used for purchase of new car.. In tears just trying to keep my children safe.

I own a 2009 Journey in New York State. How do I join the class action suit? I am going on my 4th set of pads and rotors and the vehicle has 43,000 HIGHWAY miles. I also have tried other pads to no avail. They grind, wheel shutters, squeals horribly and now continues to whine when the breaks aren’t even used!! Too bad, I love the car except for lack of power. But I hear the new ones have 40hp more. Heading over to my third party mechanic and keeping all receipts! Hope I can join the lawsuit.

I have a 2009 Dodge Journey. I am currently having brake problems, and recently I had to get the thermostat changed. When I called the dealership for the top hose, they said they were on back order. The problem with this is that the back order is on back order. So not only do I have a brake problem, I have an antifreeze problem, because my antifreeze is leaking out and has to be replaced just about every time I drive it or turn on the AC.

NOW IT SHAKES REALLY BAD WHEN YOU COME TO A STOP OR PUT INTO REVERSE. HAVE HAD TO REPLACE COIL ON SYLINDER TWICE AND HAVE THIS LOUD WIND NOISE FROM THE WINDSHIELD, THAT THE DEALERSHIP CAN’T SEEM TO FIX. THE PAINT IS PEELING OFF THE MIRRORS WHICH ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP IS BECAUSE OF BUGS AND ROCKS. WISH I HAD WAITED TO SEE ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE WE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE.

I wish a class action lawsuit would also be started against Chrysler for the design flaw in the turbo boost in the 2007 and 2009 3.0 Litre (Mercedez) diesel engine editions. Just got hit with a $13,500 repair bill for a 4 year old Grand Jeep Cherokee!!! Has anyone else suffered a similar fate? Turbo Boost fails as the short stop and go driving typically associated with an SUV results in a build up of carbon which affects the Turbo Boost, Electronic Ignition Throttle and in some cases (like Mine) engine damage! The vehicle cost $58,000 in Alberta in 2007 and is now worth $20,000.00 trade in less the $13,500.oo repair bill! Wow way to go Chrysler you roll out a vehicle that depreciates over $50,000.00 in less than 4 years. I will never, never buy another Chrysler or Jeep vehicle as long as I live!

I have the 2009 Journey and purchased it in 2008 (the first year they came out). I’ve had to replace my brakes every 16,000 miles and than replace the rotors every other time I replace my brakes. What sucks even more is instead of paying the dealership to do the work, my husband would purchase the parts from the dealership and install them himself….so now my car doesn’t qualify for the lawsuit!!!!! I’m so upset about this. We took it once to have the brakes looked at, charged me $100 for them to do nothing, the dealer didn’t even take the wheels off to look at the braking system…this being the reason my husband started changing the brakes and rotors. I have a little over 75,000 miles on my car now….$200 every 16,000 miles plus another $200 every other time for rotors….can’t believe I don’t qualify for the lawsuit….

I have had the pads/rotors replaced as well. Along with this I am constantly getting a “Check Engine” light which Dodge seems not to know why… My Vehicle has been in their shop several times and I am sick and tired of it!
This is my third new Dodge vehicle and the first two I have never had any major issues with so I was pretty confident in buying this vehicle because the sales people we always deal with were always up front and good to us. I really want to give this vehicle back and buy something else…

In response to Wayne Chuinard, Dodge Journey has a design flaw in the Engine head, and although not a recall it should be.The original engine head cloggs up..they recommmened an additive to remove and clean build up, which didnt solve the problem, they advised me they were aware of the problem and if the additive didn’t work they would order a new “redesigned head and install which they did ( it was a month to get the part, due to HIGH demand). The rotors had to be turned at 17,000km, they were warped! All the above were covered under warranty, and dealership service was good. However the Dodge journey is a nightmare, and I thankfully do not drive this vehicle as it is my wifes car…a real piece of junk, but now with its resale value and monies owed on financing it will HAVE TO BE DRIVEN ( when not in the shop) for at least another two years. Canadians help Chrysler repay their bailout monies through purchasing an inferior vehicle…never again will a Dodge chrysler product be owned by this family.

Protecting the consumer is a secondary concern of class action lawsuits. Everyone who has made a comment here should file a safety complaint to the NHTSA or your country’s equivalent. If enough (many) complaints are received these organizations will investigate and force a safety recall.

We purchased an ’09 Journey new in July ’09. As of now, Dec. 2011, the car only has 18,000 miles on it. The front rotors needed to be cut and pads replaced at around 9,000 miles. Now they are telling us that the rear rotors need cut and the pads replaced. I have driven several vehicles over the past 20 years and can count on one hand the number of times I have had to change rear brakes. Our Toyota has 81,000 miles on it and we just replaced the brakes on it for the first time. After looking around the web, this appears to be a common problem.

Is there any way that residents of PA and get involved in the Class Action?

As a side note, at 18,000 miles, the front tires (factory) are bald, the insides of both rear tires are bald (outsides look new). Dealership states “that’s the wear pattern on this vehicle”. If you look at it from the rear, both rear tires toe out WAY more than the fronts. Where the hell are they training these techs?

I purchased my 2010 Dodge Journey in August of 2010. The brakes have not been right since I purchased it, and they are terrible in the rain or snow! I had to get new brake pads and rotors 2 months ago with only a little over 8,000 on the car! I’ve also had issues with the A/C and the drivers side window getting stuck or making a TERRIBLE screaching noise. I had it fixed once and it is now making that noise again. I have owed Dodge’s before, a Nitro previously and wish I had kept that! I had NO issues with that vehicle whatsoever. Wish I would have read this or known about all this before I purchased this vehicle! I wish I could trade this vehicle in for another, but I know I will suffer a loss! Chrysler should be ashamed of themselves and perhaps come up with some kind of incentive program to get people into a better and safer vehicle if they know it is a “problem child”!???

My car has 60,000kms on it and my dealship says they are replacing them in good faith… Hmmm good faith my butt. They know there is a problem with them but they do not admit it. I have also had numerous other parts in my car replaces. 2 days after I bought my BRAND new suv, it had to go into the shop for 5.5 weeks as the computer chip fried in the motor. Hmmm can you say lemon. I am not impressed with my purchase that is for sure and do not feel safe in it at all. I can’t even take my family on a road trip as it might break down again. Pretty sad.

I could not control the steering. Thankfully I was just pulling into my driveway but it scares me to think this could have happened while at an intersection or on the highway. It is in the shop today. I was told a “wind module?” part is now on order which is part of the key system. How can I trust that this will fix the problem?!?

    2009 Journey R/T 3.5L
    Automatic transmission 63,000 miles
My 2009 Dodge Journey R/T has been a living nightmare. Gasoline mileage has never exceeded 18MPG. This vehicle is under-powered and is prone to electrical problems. Examples:
    (1) Automatic Up on the driver’s side window has a mind of its own. It works on occasion.
    (2) Wire Loom In the Steering Column: When adjusting the steering column for height and length, the wire loom eventually sheds its insulation and shorts out.(Three trips to the dealer for this repair.)
    (3) Rear Right Passenger Window: Opens and closes according to the phases of the moon. Dealer replaced that wire loom because of a recall notice.
    (4) The All-Wheel Drive Transfer Unit(PTU): This unit has failed twice. I am now on my third unit. The vehicle at the time of this repair had about 45,000 miles on the OD. Five trips to the dealer: The first failure was originally diagnosed as an oil leak in the housing. WRONG! After, the installation of the second unit, the technician improperly hooked up the exhaust pipe causing a great deal of noise in the undercarriage.
    (5) The third and current transfer unit is noisy and at around 65 MPH, there is a strong, low resonance vibration throughout the car. I brought it back to Autoland Chrysler in Springfield, NJ, and the service representative said that they could find nothing wrong with it.
    (6) When the PTU(Power Transfer Unit) failed, the safety systems also failed.
    (7) When the wire loom failed in the steering column, the dash board lit up like a jackpot on a slot machine. When the steering column wiring failed, the all-wheel-drive and all safety systems will not function,
    (8) Tire Replacement: Total Ripoff. Does Chrysler own the tire manufacturer that supplies these one-of-a-kind tire size?
    (9) Ride and Handling: I live in NJ and commute to work. The road noise is overwhelming at times and the suspension is wavy and harsh.
    (10) The six-speed automatic transmission is clunky and arbitrarily downshifts after accelerating.
    (11) Chrysler can claim refinements to this vehicle ad nauseum, however, this will be my last Chrysler product. I have leased and/or purchased Chrysler vehicles for about 25 years. The Journey is a consumer’s hell on earth.

I have a 2010 Dodge Journey I have had it in the shop about 14 times since I bought it November of 09. Started of with 3 trips for the crank shaft sensors.. Then I brought it in 3 times for concerns with the front end and it pulling to the right and shaking. Then I brought it in twice because the compression in the car would drop while i was driving it and the check engine light would flash but not stay on and would lose speed and have to pull over kill the engine and restart it till it wouldnt do that again and the check engine light finally came on and stayed on.Took it in and they kept it for a week.. Found out that there was 3 pistons that were severely pitted. They ended up having to rework the top half of the engine. After that I had it back in because I had a oil leak from where they say the gasket rolled when they were putting the car back together from the previous work. Since then is where all the major problems started. Started the car up one morning heard a tapping sound shut off checked the oil and NOTHING was showing on the stick. Brought it in and they saic it was a PCV valve and replaced it done a oil change and sent it off. At that time had them check the pulling and shaking again this time they said that the brakes and rotors needed replacing and turning and cost me for that because it was just out of its 36000 mile warranty.. Then 6000 miles later I was over on my oil change checked my oil one morning and NO OIL AGAIN! Took it in the ran compression test and stuff and said nothing was wrong with it i just went over on my milage for a oil change and that cause the oil to disappear. I maybe a female but im not stupid..

Brake problems, engine sudden dying, driving at night and suddenly all console lights goes off yet windshield wipers comes on. You have to turn key off and completely restart everything and then would happen again-several times. Dealer was given car back and told to not call us until it was REPAIRED or get us a different car. Turns out we had the driver side visor had to be replaced due to flip up visor had broken. Turns out that a wire was nicked by screw when reinstalling the visor-thus when vibrated just right all console lights, headlights, etc went off-but again wipers came on. I have received an advertisement in mail for a lawyer out of dallas, tx who is representing customers against Dodge Journey owners. p h # 8 8 8 lemon-81 web addr is iownalemon (dot) com. name is Craig Patrick. Try him as I just got letter last week and have yet to contact them. Good Luck!

My 2010 DJ has 10,000 miles & I brought it into dealer today for “front-end vibration.” Needs new front rotors & pads. Dealer tells me that Chrysler is having “problems w/front pads & rotors” on both Dodges & Jeeps & is now ordering upgraded pads & rotors at a cost to me of $100 (my 1-year warranty expires in 3 days). Claims that the $100 will enable me to have the “upgraded pads & rotors.” Otherwise, they would put “standard pads & rotors on, which would only last 10,000 miles.” Why wasn’t I notified of this defect & why didn’t Chrysler recall the DJs to fix problem?? And, yes, sign me up for the Class Action Lawsuit.

Two recalls one was the key dropping out
The other was a air bag on the off side
Now the tubo has failed at 20 k miles
Dodge are replacing this as its under warranty
However the brakes are worn but just ok
Worried that more will go wrong on this car
Hello dodge”" as you are looking at this please send a MSG out there before
A class action will cost you more than recalling the cars for problem fixes

Good will sells cars bad press will cost you millions
Dodge personal pass this info on if you are man ,woman enough to stick your neck out….

We bought a 2010 journey new, within 6 months we had all of the rotors turned DUE TO THE EXCESSIVE SHAKING, AND BURNING
    BRAKE SMELL.
Dealer said nothing about the brake issues
    Very disappointed so far

I purchased my car and didn’t have over 38,000 miles when I had to replace the drums and rotor. I couldn’t understand how I was needing to replace both and didn’t drive the car enough to have caused the rotors to have the problem described.

Just picked up my 2010 journey from the dealership after having m
The rear brakes, rotors and pads, at 24k miles. This visit cost me $355 to fix and the dealership just said we havnt heard a thing about it. I found that funny since this is the second visit for brake issues, first time they had to resurface the rotors and told me there was an issue with the rotors not being able to handle the weight of the car, but I stii had to pay for it. I am so frustrated and wish I read up on this before I purchased the car. I would like to be part of the class action suit as well.

We just purchased a 2010 Journey in Oct. of 2011 and it’s already shaking from the warped rotors when coming to a stop. It’s too bad that we have to dig deep and find out what’s wrong with this vehicle before we purchase it. I definitely need to get in on this lawsuit or I’m screwed with this vehicle purchase. What a money pit! Not only are the brakes going bad already, but so is my battery, which is almost impossible to replace for an average Joe like me who thinks this is gonna be an easy fix. I’ve changed dozens of batteries in the past and now I need to take it to someone to have it replaced, which isn’t covered by my extended warranty. It’s BS!!

I purchased my Dodge Journey in 2008…BIG MISTAKE!!! I have been thru 2 sets of brakes and rotors, not to mention at 36,000 miles tie rods. The bad tie rods wore my tires out, another expense. I too have had a noise coming from my front end and the dealership keeps implying that nothing is wrong…I hope it is not my axle. HOW CAN I GET OUT OF THIS LEASE? I have called Chrysler sooo many times we and get the sympathetic run around.

I am also a sucker that bought a 2009 Journey SXT. AWD 50,000 miles. It was a “certified” pre-owned vehicle. Yeah right, certified piece of junk is more like it.

I has been back to the dealership 4 times in the 5 weeks I’ve had the thing. First was for blocked sunroof drain tubes which were draining inside the vehicle and getting the drivers side carpet all wet. I discovered this the day after I brought the car home. Then the windshield washer fluid line broke in half. The thing is not a flexible rubber hose, but a hard plastic tube. Great design there.

Then the big issue came up…leaky transaxle. It was at the dealership multiple times for this as the tried replacing different seals. The one time I got it back from them the PTU was not assembled right or somethign since I had the exact same issues with the vibrations at 65 mpg as the poster above.

They fixed that issue and ended up replacing every seal they could in the transaxle. It was okay for a few days, not I just noticed a small amount of fluid starting to drip again. I will likely take it back again in the next day or so.

I got rid of a perfectly good Pontiac Montana for this thing. I like the look of the car, but shame on me for not researching more about the Journey.

I have a love hate relationship with my 2009 Journey. I love the size but I hate the bills is it costing me alomst yearly with the rotors!! I will have it 4 yrs this June and the rotors have been replaced 4x’s and brakes replaced twice with only 34,000 miles not to menion tires replaced twice and all the other issues I have had with it. But the rotors are the biggest and most expensive issue.
I was in contact with Chrysler and sent to the Lemon Law dept then the rep was fired and I have to start all over again. I understand Warranty doesn’t cover wear and tear and brakes and rotors but any person will tell you that they don’t go 4x in 4 years!!! I had a Saturn with 120,000 and I recall once doing the rotors.

I wish Chrysler would stand up and say there is something wrong, we are all complaining out the same thing! My rotors were rusted with 7.000 miles!! How do they rust on a NEW car off the truck?!?!?

I purchased a Dodge RT Journey last year, it had 23000 miles on it, I pulled it off the lot and the steering was shaking when I hit the brakes, it went back in to have brakes changed and rotors. I then get it back aqnd have the engine light come on constantly, when this happened I had issues with the car jolting forward and the rpms racing. I had this vehicle in the shop 5 times in the first 5000 miles. I had it, the dealer claims they helped me get out of this used vehicle into a new one, which is a 2011 Dodge Mainstreet, major downgrade lost lots of options and went up in payments. However, within the first 3000 miles I had to have the brakes changed. Now at 8,000 miles I had to take it in again due to when I touch the brakes the steering shook badly, I took it in and they had to resurface and work on rear rotors. And of course, they said it was from my braking, and from living in Wisconsin where you can get rust. So disappointed and am hoping it continues so I can get the lemon law and get rid of it! I will go back to Ford, where I have always been and never had these types of issues, barely ever stuck money into the Ford Vehicles. Help!

I also had a legal encounter with the company over the same issues. It would be much easier for the company to go with a different manufacturer, but they rather charge a fee each time you have to replace the parts (which is too often). It’s unfair to the consumers, and unsafe.

12,800 miles on my 2010 and we need new brakes and rotors in the front and back. The transmission slips all the time but they can’t find anything wrong with it. The tires are the worst they slip in the smallest amount of rain. Last year in the snow my car couldn’t even get out of my driveway. I have never driven a car I disliked until this. I can’t wait to get rid of it and we have only had it for a little over a year

My 2009 Dodge Journey has brake problem, rotor problems, and yesterday during a left turn, my car completely turned off. thank god that I had momentum to get me through the turn, because I had my children with me. A few months ago my keyless entry wouldn’t unlock my doors and when I used the key to unlock the door the alarm woke up the whole neighborhood. And about six months after my wife and I purchased our DJ our whole family was locked outside in the cold at the grocery store . I got an error saying bad key. Three days later the key works again. This disturbs me because we bought a 999 year bumper to bumper warranty and rotors brake pads are NOT covered. I wonder why, when this clearly affects the functionality of the whole car. My frustration is so high because this car was not available to lease, only to buy. This car is dangerous. Please help me with the next step to take action about this. And find a solution.

I need to find out ASAP how to put my name on this list….we have a 2009 Journey and are having the same issues with the brakes/rotors, which I paid over $400.00 to have them replaced May 5, 2011, and here we are April 5, 2012 it hasn’t even been a year, and have to replace the brakes/rotors again. It’s one thing after another with this 2009 Journey. I can’t keep up with all these repairs and let alone afford it. I am also making a big monthly payment of $478.00., which I feel I am paying for something that is a waste of money. I only have 37,000 miles on this vehicle, and I already have spent $1, 175.00 on new tires. Of course calling Chrysler or your Dodge Dealer where I bought this vehicle is such a waste of time. If anyone knows how to sign up for this lawsuit please let me know.
    Thanks…please will somebody help us.

Would love to be in on this suit actually. I have a 2010 T&C and our rear brakes have replaced 3x and the front 2x, we only have 14,000 miles on the car. We are told that we have a choice, we can pay a $100 deductible or forfeit miles off the warranty which is currently 3 years 36,000 miles. They said I could have this round of break covered, but the warranty would be changed to 12 months 10,000 miles. I like to think I am a well educated, calm person, but this is not only outrageous, but along the lines of carnival side show. (No offense to carnivals). My other car weighs 1000 lbs more than my minivan, has 4x the miles and I have only had to change the rear pads and rotors once. How do I get on this suit?

I just had new roters put on my 2011 Journey that has only 13,ooo miles. The dealership was great and replaced them with no charge but what about the next time and the next time. There is a class action lawsuit filed regarding 2009 and 2010 Journeys but what can owners of the 2011′s expect. I bought my Journey about six months ago. What should I do?

Hi how did the law suit go. Over in the uk the Daimler Chrysler group know nothing of this brake problem. We were told at 18k service “you need new pads and discs”. I did the pads and guess what at the 27k service. Yep the same comment. The journey is powered by a vw 2l diesel ,Europe for you, 140 bhp not bad other than no AWD and gas v6 or v8 growlers!

Please tell me how to add my name on the list too. I am done with the dealer. I Live in California, and I brought my 2010 Dodge Journey in March 2010 with fully load options. Here the problem history
    Year of 2010
3 weeks after I brought it, I got internal rain water leak from over head liner along from driver side to the back of 3rd rows seat. Take 1 day to fix.
2 weeks later the water leaked again but this time like raining in side from around the A/C vent in 2nd row. Take 3 days becuase they have to order new overhead liner.
Year of 2011. I was too busy with planing for my wedding so I rarely use
Year of 2012. March 2012, I noticed oil leaking from the rear differental. The seal was pushed too far causing damage bearing so differental and rear axle get replace. They also fix the recall. I couldn’t remember what that recall about.
I thougth that should be enough problem but NO. Last weekends I took my wife on a trip. I found out that my car made some weird noise at high speed above 70+, sound more like a phone vibrate on your counter-top table. When we stopped @ shopping the car locked us out and initial started the engine by itself. I have to key entry and turned off.
Now read through this I also find out about the steering shaking when braking. I have this probelm when my car at 18000 miles ( now 23K) I thought just me being to hard on the brakes.
I don’t knwo if I am entitle for “Lemon Law” or not. Anyways, sorry for the long comments. thank you for all your times.

Hi from Canada also. Bought our 2009 Journey new as well and at 41000 kms are told brakes and rotors have to be replaced. Rotors were replaced about one year ago due to shake in the vehicle. Looks like a long challenge ahead with Chrysler. A serious DEFECT wouldn’t you think!!
