A class action settlement in a lawsuit against Sequenom, Inc. has been reported. Sequenom, Inc. reportedly has agreed to pay $14 million in cash and an unspecified number of shares of Sequenom common stock to settle a consolidated class-action shareholder lawsuit, In re Sequenom, Inc. Securities Litigation, No: 3:09-cv-00921-LAB-WMC, over the Sequenom’s alleged mishandling of study data on a test it was developing for Down syndrome. The terms of the class action settlement are subject to approval by the federal District Court.
