Rite Aid Class Action Settlement Of Rite Aid Assistant Store Manager & Co-Manager Employee Overtime Pay Class Action Lawsuit

Rite Aid Class Action Settlement Reportedly Reached In Overtime Pay Class Action Suit Brought By Rite Aid Assistant Store Managers and Rite Aid Co-Managers.

Rite Aid Corp. has reportedly agreed to a $20.9 million settlement of a class action lawsuit against Rite Aid (“Rite Aid” or “Defendant”) in federal court in Middle District of Pennsylvania, alleging, among other things, that Rite Aid assistant store managers and Rite Aid co-managers worked more than 40 hours a week, but were denied overtime pay because they were classified as exempt supervisors in purported violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, according to a Rite Aid assistant store manager and co-manager overtime pay class action settlement news report.

Im working for KFC/Taco bell group as a manager. Ive been working approximately 50-55 hours per week in what the company calls an exempt status, so there is no overtime. My understanding is that to be exempt employee 90% of the time should be in supervisory mode. I can safely say that over 80% of the time is actual working positions , not supervising others. Does anyone know if the exemptions apply in my type of work.

      Hi Robert,

Are you located in California? If you are, I can refer you to some labor law attorneys that I know.

      John
