Honda Element Class Action Settlement Reached In Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Cracked Windshield

If You Are A Current or Former Owner or Lessee of a 2005 or 2006 Honda Element Whose Windshield Cracked While Your Honda Element Was Covered Under The Standard Manufacturer’s Warranty, You Could Get Benefits From A Class Action Settlement.

A class action settlement has been reached in a lawsuit pending against American Honda Motor Company, Inc. (“Honda”) in the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles (captioned Eric Budgin and Jessica Budgin v. American Honda Motor Company, Inc., Case No. BC 375047) alleging that Honda sold 2005 and 2006 model year Honda Element automobiles (the “class vehicles”) without disclosing that these cars suffered from an alleged design or manufacturing defect that causes cracks in the windshield without impact or as a result of light contact with ordinary road debris purportedly in violation of, among other things, Honda’s express warranty, according to the Honda Element Cracked Windshield Class Action Settlement Notice.

The Honda Element windshield cracking class action settlement reportedly provides, among other things, that Honda will provide to eligible settlement Class Members, who timely submit a valid and timely Honda settlement claim form, certain reimbursements of actual out of pocket costs for parts and labor for certain cracked OEM windshields that each Settlement Class Member paid to replace due to the windshield cracking.

my notice said not to do anything until further notice so I put it away in case my Element ever developed a crack, which it did but it looks like any claim may be too late. Why wasn’t I notified of the time limits?
