Please lert me know if I qualify for this suit. I purchased the steel siding within the given time. I have already had peeling teo years ago,
& it is peeling again. I bought steel because I thought it was the best, and are having nothing but trouble with it.

We have had peeling problems on the steel siding. We had a crew strip and re-paint one side of the house only. I have many pictures showing the actual problems with this siding and the huge amount of peeling that took place.

Yes, our Gentek Siding was peeling on several areas of the house and the company replaced only part of the siding. Do I send any information or papers that I have telling about the problem?
    Thank you for your time.

Our siding was falling off and was told by a contractor that it wasn’t nailed into the stud only the foam insulation, I called Allside, Gentek in Chicago at least 7 time with no answer. This was put on in 2004.
We had to take care of it ourself and wonder how many more will fall off.

My steel siding was installed 07/18/94. I first noticed small bubbles appearing. The peel started slowly and I contacted the builder, the installer/attorney to no avail. It was in 2005, I found it was a Gentek Product. It was a back & forth situation. They would keep putting me off. Parts of my house are now silver. The installer finally stepped up and tried to help. In 08/29/2008, they offered me a payment of ($1707) to fully release Gentek , etc . It was a long list. In 09/13/12, they offered ($4,715.00). Now they offered to power sand the house & paint it. The house looks terrible. I am elderly and this has been very stressful. I was thankful to find out that I am not alone in this horrible situation. Where do we go from here?

I had the steel siding installed by the Purveyor Corp. in the spring of 1997. One reason I chose this product was that it was steel and had a “Lifetime Warranty”. We have problems with it peeling since 2002 and approximately every three years since. These problems were documented by claim numbers 122313, 109676, and L020410. Alside and GENTEK have told me that they no longer make this product and offered to repaint.

I have had no other choice than to agree to repainting, which has been done three times.

The last repaint was in 2009 and now the siding is peeling again.

I have told them that repainting with latex paint will not stand up to the harsh sun of New Mexico.

But every time they sent someone to repaint with latex paint.

Please let me know if I am intitled to compensation under this Class Action Settlement or if you need additional information.
