City National Bank Debit Card Customers File Class Action Lawsuit Against City National Bank Over Overdraft Fees.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against City National Bank in Kanawha Circuit Court, West Virginia alleging that City National Bank unfairly assessed overdraft fees due to the way debit card transactions were posted, according to a class action lawsuit news report.
The City National Bank overdraft fee class action complaint reportedly alleges, among other things, that City National re-orders debit card transactions from the highest to lowest dollar amount so as to deplete the customer’s available funds as quickly as possible while maximizing the number of overdraft fees, charges overdraft fees even where a customer has not overdrawn his checking account, and charges overdraft fees even where City National did not pay out more funds than were in the customer’s City National checking account.

I.m just going to get in touch with the FDIC and let them know what the back is doing?????
I got a check for $6.72, deposited it into my account and it came back for NON SUFFICIENT funds..account blocked….good grief…cost me a $10 fee at my bank!! I am so mad..anyone else have this happen to them?
i got nothing and i received a letter saying to do nothing we have had a account for years and its 2013!
my wife recived $6.41 after she close her account 3yr .before. I’VE been ,with the bank for over 8yrs & I’ve recived nothing?
I’m still having the same problem with city overdrawing my account because they take the larges first so instead of maybe have one overdrawn they fix it so you have 3 or 4 this is such unfair business practice
CNB is still doing this I was charged 2 overdraft fees when only one should have been charged because they took a large check before a small one and the small one was even bill pay thru them that was set up a week ago and they just now deducted the funds from my account. I despise this bank!
