A class action lawsuit has been filed against AvMed Health Insurance Company (“AvMed Health” or “AvMed” or “Defendant”) in Florida alleging, among other things, that AvMed Health Insurance allowed its customers’ personal medical data to be compromised when AvMed laptops containing personal medical records were left unattended and subsequently stolen, according to AvMed Health Insurance privacy class action lawsuit news reports. According to reports, approximately 1.2 million AvMed Health Insurance customers’ private health records may have been involved in the alleged data breach.
