Angels Baseball Class Action Lawsuit Over Angels Stadium Club Level Wheelchair Access

Angels Fan Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Angels Baseball and City of Anaheim Over Wheel Chair Access In Club Level Of Angels Stadium.

A class action lawsuit was filed against Angels Baseball LP and the City of Anaheim (the “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Central District of California (captioned Charlebois v. Angels Baseball LP, City of Anaheim, Case No. CV10853-AG(ANX)) alleging that Angels Stadium fails to provide basic accommodations to disabled persons in its premier Club Level, the only section that includes amenities such as in-seat waiter and waitress food and beverage services, according to class action lawsuit news reports.

The Angels Baseball Stadium Club Level Wheelchair Access class action lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges that Angels Baseball and City of Anaheim fail to provide adequate wheelchair accessible seating on the Club Level, discriminate against individuals on the basis of their disability, fail to comply with facilities requirements contingent upon receiving state funding, and maintain unfair business practices in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act ADA, California Civil Rights laws, and California’s Business & Professions Code.

How did this ever pass City inspections when being built if it is not compliant?

I’m a wheelchair-seat applicant and recently was able to purchase a wheelchair seat for myself and a companion seat for my wife in the Diamond club, the tickets costing us $50 each.
So far this season we’ve obtained wheelchair seating in the Terrace Level. The attendants and ushers have been extremely courteous and helpful.
Those who think this subject is a frivolous matter should think about it a moment, for eventually they all will become disabled providing they live long enough.
Enough with sermonizing. Thank God for the ADA, Mr. Charlebois and Michael J. Fox.
