Ford Motor & Navistar Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Filed Over 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engine

Owners & Lessees Of Ford Vehicles With Ford Power Stroke Diesel Engine File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Ford & Navistar Over Allegedly Defective Diesel Engines.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Ford Motor Company (“Ford Motor” or “Ford”) and Navistar, Inc. (“Navistar”) f/k/a International Truck and Engine Corporation (collectively “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California (styled Brandon Burns v. Navistar, Inc. and Ford Motor Company, Civil Action Case No. 3:10-cv-02295-LAB -BGS) alleging, among other things, that Defendants manufactured, marketed and/or sold Ford’s Super Duty trucks and Ford Excursion vehicles for model years 2003-2007 that contained Ford & Navistar manufactured 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engines that allegedly suffer from manufacturing and design defects that render the engines and vehicles unmerchantable and unsuitable, according to the Ford & Navistar 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engine class action lawsuit complaint.

The Ford & Navistar 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engine class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of a putative class of all owners and lessees within California of Ford vehicles equipped with Navistar’s 6.0 L diesel engine, commonly referred to as the Power Stroke V8 Turbo diesel engine, unless otherwise excluded.

My company runs 15 Ford trucks from F250 to F550 in size.
This past 2 years these trucks have expended over $70,000 in defect
    repairs.
Seems as if Fords position is to wait it out and hope the complaints and disgruntled customers over these issues goes away.

Include me in this class action suit. “PLEASE”

I ordered my 2005 Super-Duty with the 6.0 Powerstroke, owned it for just over 5 years, and put about 40,000 miles on it. On the way back from Wisconsin for a long weekend with my 5th wheelcamper, engine overheated and white smoke belched from exhaust. The EGR cooler, oil cooler, and subsequent Turbo replacement costed me over $ 7000.00 to get fixed. How do I sign up for the Class-Action lawsuit?

  • lori oberman August 14, 2012, 3:06 pm

  • Phil R August 21, 2012, 7:27 am

Where should I start. exhaust pressure sensor, turbo, egr, all injectors, ficm. Thought it was cured until a tip blew off a injector and broke a valve off the stem. Repaired that and now I have another injector failing. All this in less than 100,000 miles . I miss my chevy.

  • Charles Branson August 22, 2012, 6:46 am

Bought this 2006 F250 about 5 months ago have had nomorus problems totaling more than 7000 dollars The worst vehicle I have ever owned
I told brooker ford of Dalton Ga just yesterday that there would never be another Ford park in my driveway Had to have a leak repaired yesterday caused by Brooker when they worked on it before but of course it wasn’t their fault

  • bill bower August 26, 2012, 5:07 pm

Our story is the same, we have a 2005 E350 6.0 engine with 40K, at the shop. $$$$$ count us in on any law suit, thanks.

  • Nick c August 28, 2012, 11:11 pm

Sign me up for the lawsuit believe it or not I have a 2004 f350 and (2) 2006 f450’s all with the famous 6.0L engine. They were all purchased new aprox. $150K. They were at the ford dealership countless times when under warranty for the same repairs mentioned above. Since out of warranty I have spent at least $20,000 in repairs on these trucks and one of the 2006 f450’s is sitting with $5k needed in repairs which I cannot afford running my small landscape company. These trucks have crippled me and my company and I cannot even trade these trucks in ford will not take them. Go figure. Somebody tell me how to join this lawsuit and screw ford as they did us!!

  • john b August 29, 2012, 4:07 pm

  • Todd Kreyer September 7, 2012, 7:14 pm

How do I get involved I currently own a 2003 F-250 super cab. Yes it has the 6.0 diesel and yes I have had many issues egr, fuel injectors, and ficm. Just to name a few. Love the truck when its running but its a pain when its down because it is usually down for a long time.

  • Don Evans September 8, 2012, 6:21 am

I feel the same, still paying on loan for replacing injectors.

  • wayne winkler September 11, 2012, 3:14 pm

    how do i get in lawsuit i have a f250 04 with6.0 pos

  • wayne winkler September 11, 2012, 3:16 pm

ford is a joke when you call them . they will not tell you any thing about the lawsuit

  • Gary Schafer September 12, 2012, 5:14 am

2005 F-350. 5+ breakdowns requiring tow and multiple days repair each due to bad high pressure oil pump that ground itself down internally and pump filings trough the entire engine and eventually compromised the whole engine requiring full engine replacement. Ford refused to fix correctly. Needless to say the truck never was repaired.

  • Richard September 13, 2012, 7:37 am

I live in Illinois, could someone tell me how to join the lawsuit?

  • Lance Broell September 15, 2012, 12:36 pm

I would like to join the class action suite. I’m the original owner of a 2003 ford F250 with the 6.oL engine. Ford new early on that the engine had systemic issues and that the oil cooler, EGR cooler, ICP sensor and other components would fail. Instead of investing in updated products to correct the issues they simply replaced the failed parts with more bad parts hopping they would last long enough for the warranty to expire and transfer the cost to the consumer. To make matters worse these truck have a depreciated value due to the engine’s reputation so as owners we have been hit in the wallet twice (repair cost and deprecation)

  • Danny leonard September 16, 2012, 4:12 pm

I have 06 f 350 that i make payments on and it has been broke for 2 months spent over 10.000 in repairs I don’t want spend a dime more .

  • Brian carver September 16, 2012, 6:01 pm

I have 03 f-250 6.0 that I’ve had nothing but trouble out of!! First oil cooler replaced. Later injectors started going out . Ended up putting total of 9 in it. Replaced transmission , injector driver, rotors and pads 3 times. Fuel pump replaced alternator twice. Radiator replaced. I’m sure I have forgot something’s. What’s next !! Killing me to keep it running

  • stanton ward September 17, 2012, 12:50 am

i also would like to join the class action suit but located in Florida. not sure if our location matters, i imagine we are located in every state in large numbers.

  • Tommy September 18, 2012, 9:56 am

  • Joe September 19, 2012, 6:36 pm

Located in New Hampshire with all the same problems. Is there any way to join the law suit? If anyone knows about this that would be great.

  • Terry Brooks September 20, 2012, 2:12 pm

I bought a 2004 f350 with the 6.0. It’s has warped heads replaced, over 20 fuel injectors replaced, a tubro charger replaced two injector control moduals replaced, a fan clutch replaced , transmition replaced, an altenator replaced, and now it is currently dead with a egr or another head problem. On one trip the ford quit and I had a horse die because she had to stay in the trailer and there was no place to unload her. I tried to sue ford but they wouldn’t respond. They were trying to force me to go to court which I couldn’t aford.

  • Justin knight September 20, 2012, 3:20 pm

I bought my 2003 f-250 6.0 lariat fx4 in 2005 with 28000 miles on it. It was way more expensive than I could really afford but figured I would never need another truck. First the icp sensor went bad, then the ficm, then ok for awhile. Finished paying the truck off and bought the 5th wheel trailer that I bought the truck for to begin with because I could not afford both at the same time. First time I pulled the trailer I blew the head gaskets and now I’m completely screwed. Brand new trailer sitting in a storage lot and broken truck I cannot afford to fix. 125000 miles totally beautiful truck, extremely well cared for piece of junk. Got estimate from shop for 10,000.00 to make it as reliable as a dodge or Chevy? Are you kidding me? What do I do now? Help please!!

  • David Ellis September 20, 2012, 8:11 pm

I bought a used 2006 F-350 (6.0L power stroke) with 66,000 miles in September of last year. In less than a year, it has been to a repair shop 7 times costing me over $10K in repairs. I just returned from a three week vacation driving through Yellowstone Park and several surrounding states before returning home to the Sacramento area. During my vacation, the truck broke down three times and cost an additional $450 in towing fees (not included above) and three extra nights lodging. As I arrived home, I found the truck has the same hot start problems today that were “fixed” yesterday at the Bend Oregon dealership. I am more willing to pay an attorney than put more money into this truck. (I can’t believe I’m saying that).

  • P. Farris September 25, 2012, 12:46 pm

2005 F-350 6.0 Lariat – Same problem. Had to have two injectors replaced due to EGR Cooler Issues. Mechanic said that coolant level was low and likely caused by head gasket blowby resulting from Cooler Design Flaw. He explained that the design causes head bolts pull away from their threads due to overheating resulting in coolant leaking into head. Head Gasket and EGR repair estimated at $5,000 in addition to the $2,500 paid to replace injectors, fuel filters, etc…

  • Edgar Browning September 27, 2012, 3:13 pm

I understand IH Navistar settled with Ford over these faulty 6.0 diesel engines? Ford not using that money to recall and replace them is the problem. The EGR problem child is parked in the driveway.

  • jim pearson September 27, 2012, 10:30 pm

2004 f-350 6.0l ALSO BLOWN HEAD GASKET, the repair will cost 5000.00. This is the 2nd vehicle like this that I purchased. Drew Ford bought the first one back since it was such a lemon. I love Drew Ford but I detest this truck. One problem after the other – I have a huge stack of work orders. Very costly repairs. I have had it !!!

  • Steve Coffey September 28, 2012, 7:24 am

Currently have 3 450’s and 1 350 that we run as Medic units, have had nothing but problems. Have spent 13,000 since 02/12 on one in repairs and continue to have mechanical problems. Would like to obtain more information if possible on this class action suit

    Thanks

  • Hershel Prysock September 29, 2012, 7:23 am

Finally found a dealer who would take my 06′ F-250 at a 14,000.00 dollar loss. This on top of over 5,000.00 dollars in repairs all before 116,000 miles. Bought a 2001 Dodge with 5.9 l. On the highway I get over 22 mpg, Ford could not touch that even when everything was working like is should. I feel your pain against Ford and against your wallets. Count me DODGE HAPPY !

  • Wilbert Sherman September 29, 2012, 10:40 pm

I also have 2005 f250 junk engine 6.0 had a turbro repalced already
have only 25500 miles on . I really don’t what to drive.
How do I join the class action lawsuit any help is great

    thanks

  • David Dolin October 2, 2012, 1:27 pm

Have had all of the above problems, had to replace the transmission along with everything else @131,000.00 miles. Have spent approxiamtely $14,000.00 for a truck that cost me almost $52,000.00 expecting it to last and be a strong truck. Also purchased extended warranty. I have had problem after problem. Count me in for the Class Action Lawsuit please.

  • Teresa Owens October 3, 2012, 11:33 am

Would like more information and who do i need to contact about being included in the ongoing law suit. My husband and i also have the 2007 F350 6.0 diesel motor that is junk and nothing but trouble.

  • Ceri John October 4, 2012, 9:37 am

I have an F250 6.0 L 2005, 95,000miles, head gaskets blown, heads and block warped, needs complete engine, oil cooler and lots of other high ticket parts, they tell me that the EGR system was boiling the coolant. it will cost over $10,000 to replace and fit. We figure to buy another 6.0 but without the EGR set up. We will have to pay to get the truck fixed and reclaim the cost from Ford. I will never have another Ford on my drive. Ford have proved to be a thoroughly untrustworthy company. Selling and promoting a product they knew to be unfit for purpose for 5 years, even as far back as 2002. It really should be a criminal matter, the scale of the deception breathtaking. After this it has to be any truck with a cummins engine.
If the class action is still in motion please count me in.

  • Ron Lucero October 8, 2012, 4:34 pm

I have replaced complete motors on 3 ea. F-450’s and head gaskests, turbos and injectors on other of my company trucks. I live in New Mexico. How do I join a class action law suit here in New Mexico?

  • Amber Minor October 9, 2012, 6:16 pm

We have a F-350 6. 2004. We have had to replace the radiator, high pressure oil pump, high pressure fuel pump, and as of today it is back in the shop. Our mechanic said, “this thing has oil leaks everywhere.” So, we are waiting the final report. I guess my kids won’t have a Christmas this year. Please contact me regarding this suit. I love my Ford truck, just not this engine or the stance Ford is taking with it’s loyal customers.

  • Dennis Fritz October 10, 2012, 1:27 pm

I have a 2007 ford f 350 with many of the same problems bad egr, faulty head bolts, radiator blow back,my costs have been over 7,000.00.I dont think its right when you pay over 45,000.00 for a vechile you should have to deal with this.

  • Charles Downing October 15, 2012, 10:55 pm

My F350 6.0 Powerstroke is being fixed at present, I have complained about heating with the Ford dealers and they said that they tested it and could not find a problem, on a long pull you have to stay under 2500 rpms or it will over heat. I had it in and was told that they found a leak in a hose and was fine as soon as I put a load on it, it over heated then dropped back down as soon as I started to pull a hill coming off the freeway it overheated. I was a half mile from home so took it easy and drove it on in. I shut the engine off and let it cool. As soon as I started parking the 5th wheel it overheated again so I shut it off and noticed that there was a leak in the radiator, and two other places. I had my wife take it to the local Ford dealer and they said the EGR unit, Oiler Cooler, and Head Gasket needed to be replaced. Cost around $7,500 this truck only has 130,000 miles on it older gas Fords I have owned ran over 200,000 with no trouble and had bought this as my retirement truck I am sure glade that we were not out on the road. I would like to get info on this Class-Action lawsuit.

  • Sarah Reuter October 17, 2012, 10:04 pm

Count me in when someone finds out where to join the lawsuit. My F 350 6.0 is currently in the shop again! Already replaced 3 injectors, EGR, turbo…you name it. Now oil leaking everywhere, absolutely no power, and it has been out of use for over a month. This is one of our main vehicles for our business and it seems to be in the shop more than on the road…..Losing $$$$$ with this thing. Thanks, Sarah

  • Gayle Mosby October 18, 2012, 5:54 pm

My 2005 F-350 has not run for a year and a half. Have had it in several shops for repairs but can’t afford what it will cost. One shop said get a new engine. Can’t afford to do that. Please let me know where to join the lawsuit. Thanks, Gayle

I have a F250 King Ranch purchased in 2006. Changed oil/ filters and all other requirements per Fords schedule.
New turbo at 83000 miles, check engine light on at 85000 miles off to dealer. Got it back, 86000 miles light on again. Dealer replaced FICM.
143000 miles all injectors shot, $5000.00.
145000 miles FICM shut down 30 miles from any town, towed 30 miles to Ford dealer, Tow plus ner FICM and labor $1500.00.
Local Ford dealers recomendation-sell it buy a new Ford 6.7 diesel truck. They must figure if I am dumb enough to buy a 6.0 I can buy a 6.7. FORD QUALITY NUMBER ONE!

  • J Neely November 5, 2012, 6:30 pm

I purchased a 2008 international maxx force brand new with new emissions standards and this truck is by far the worst truck in my fleet. Nalley trucks/Rush/ THE WORST had to replace the engine at 50,000 miles and the problems continue its in the shop now tomorrow will be 3 weeks for a recall fuel mixing with oil. second time in 6 MONTHS WITH THIS ISSUE.

  • ken gilreath November 5, 2012, 7:26 pm

2008 Ford Diesel 6.0 with less than 80,000 miles cost me over 3600 and now is blown again.

Ford refused to pay any of repairs on a 2008 Ford 6.0 with less than 80,000 miles. I paid the Ford dealership over 3600 to have repaired and as of tonight the truck broke down again with what appears to be the same issue.

Get this! I actually owned a Roush/Fenway show car for the number 60 Ford Mustang that ran in the Bristol Race in March and August. I purchased the truck to pull the “Ford Mustang” Show car promoting ford. The truck a 2008 with less than 80,000 miles had a failure of the high pressure fuel pump and the local Ford Dealer charged me in excess of 3600 to make repairs. Guess what. No help from Ford Motor Company. Now tonight 11-06-12 I am paying a wrecker to tow the truck a 140 miles pulling the, 2008 Ford F-350, race car and trailer home to Knoxville Tennessee again at a cost of 800.00. Appears to be the same problem.

  • Greg Yates November 7, 2012, 4:08 pm

We have several Ford trucks with issues and would like to join this lawsuit.

  • Tom November 7, 2012, 4:16 pm

2003 Ford Excursion had to sell it to pay for the $7000.00 worth of towing and repairs. Who do I contact to be included?
    Thanks

  • Radford November 8, 2012, 1:30 pm

I own a 2005 F250 with this 6.0 p.o.s. engine. The mileage is under 78,000 and has had multiple EGR issues and tows back to dealer. Most recently the head gaskets have went to hell along with injectors. I went to pick it up today from a 3 week repair job at dealership and could not drive it off the lot due to injector issues and engine missing. Why is this not being handled by Ford? If they have filed suit against the maker of the engine doesn’t that admit a faulty engine has been sold to its patrons? Count me in!

  • Mike November 11, 2012, 8:11 am

    2006 f350, 6.0 diesel, 30,000 miles,
Turbocharger shaft broke in half, exhaust turbine wheel went down exhaust pipe to the muffler, oil pumped into the intake from the turbo compressor side, lots of smoke & made a ugly mess,

  • Mike November 11, 2012, 8:12 am

Joining the suit, a like new truck that I cannot use

  • Joe Sheldon November 12, 2012, 4:28 pm

have a 2004 F350 with the 6.0 diesel. It needs a new EGR cooler and I assume the oil cooler is shot as well with 56,000 miles. Thinking about replacing with the BulletProof designs EGR and Oil cooler. This must be embarrassing for Ford that a aftermarket company could come up with a potential fix when their top engineers could not. Should have bought a Dodge instead.

  • MELISSA GIBSON November 13, 2012, 3:36 pm

I have a 2007 Ford F-250, bought the extended warranty luckily, but before 90,000.00 miles blowed all 8 injectors. The Ford company replaced them with the warranty I paid for 1 at a time. They had the truck more than I did the 1st year…I told the company this was a bad motor, so they should “Maker” be sued.

  • Todd Stark November 14, 2012, 9:22 am

94000 on my 2006 F250 and so far the EGR valve, Egr Cooler, oil cooler FICM module have all been replaced, Now Just recently I had my STC fitting which ic part of the HPOP. Failed and then the other part of the FICM module failed. Neither component covered by extended warranties. I want to join lawsuit

    Dear Ford Motor Company:

Your response/decision to our claim for financial assistance for the manufactured engine defects on our 2007 Ford F-250 is unacceptable. In fact it is a blatant act on your part to further disregard your responsibility for knowingly and deceitfully concealing the engine’s defects from your consumers. In addition, you and your dealerships (namely Heritage Ford, Modesto, CA) continued to profit from the massive repairs that are necessary to address and solve the problems with the 6.0L Power Stroke engine.

Deemed a “lemon” of the diesel industry, you – Ford Motor Company – in 2007 filed a multi-billion dollar lawsuit against Navistar, Inc. claiming the 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel Engine was defective. The fact that Ford Motor Company initiated this lawsuit, states plainly and clearly that Ford admits and acknowledges the defects that plagued the 6.0L Power Stroke engines used in their manufactured vehicles yet, Ford and their dealerships (Heritage Ford) continued to sell these vehicles with the engine defects resulting in EGR and oil cooler failure, blown head gaskets and warped head bolts while passing the repair costs onto their consumers.

It is clear that Ford Motor Company took its chances with the amount of warranty work that they would be responsible for since most of the 6.0L Power Stroke engines made it past the five year warranty, many within weeks of needing the massive required repairs to get the vehicle back on the road. However, what is most disturbing is that most of these vehicles needing these repairs were/are way under 100,000 miles, and are only over 4-5 months, even weeks past their five year warranty expiration. Still, Ford with all of their advertising of the superior qualities of the 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel Engine refuse to stand behind the product that they deceitfully sold to their consumers.

To further add insult to injury upon its consumers, Ford has acknowledged that this defective engine has significantly diminished the resale/trade-in value of our ’07 F250. This is very disheartening to us as we had planned to down size to an F150 by the end of this year because we no longer had a need for the larger truck. Now, we are stuck with a truck that is in need of massive repairs with the price tag to go along with it, no resale value, and a severed relationship with Ford Motor Company (deeply disappointed in Ford, as my family has been strictly a “Ford Family” dating back to the Model T & Model A).

Jennifer from Ford Motor Company’s Customer Relationship Center stated in her response to our second request for assistance, “I sincerely hope that we can regain your confidence in our products and services around the world.” Honestly, how do you expect us to maintain “confidence in your products and services” when you clearly deceive your loyal consumers by knowingly selling defective engines and passing the cost of repairs on to them with no regard to the financial hardship you are burdening them with. We expected better from Ford.

There is still time for You – Ford Motor Company & Heritage Ford to do the right thing.

This is the worst “side-step” answer I have ever read. When you consider the original owner’s repair expenses, the second owner’s expenses and on and on the matter takes on a demon of its own. Especially when your factor in there is no real fix for all of these problems. Just temporary fixes and more money that the American working class can not afford. I feel guilty for getting rid of my 06′ F-250, what if another working class American buys the truck with all the ambitions we had, now you have another person walking away from a Ford product for ever. Ford missed out on the opportunity of a life time by not standing behind their product, many individuals will continue to walk away from all Ford products. Sorry, but my Dodge runs great…..

  • Pam Real November 14, 2012, 2:56 pm

We would like to join this class action lawsuit.

  • Randy Moore November 20, 2012, 3:59 pm

I’ve had it, how do I join. I replace head gaskets and head bolts in april, august and my head gasket just blew again! $6000.00 so far in 9 months!

  • Erica November 21, 2012, 3:30 pm

I would like to join as well. 2005 Excursion 97K miles, EGR valve replaced twice EGR cooler once, FICM, injector issues and the list goes on…… Ford doesn’t seem to want to help when you call customer relations. They just tell you that your concern has been noted…That’s wonderful while all of us are out thousands of $$$$.

  • Rick Kasper November 30, 2012, 4:26 pm

Is this class action suit only for the state of California? My truck has had a new engine, all new injectors, EGR Cooler, Turbo and several other things replaced. Out of 9 month period the truck has been in the shop over 31/2 months. Truck is back in the shop after new engine. This time another injector has gone out. Owner of 2005 f550 need I say more!

    • Mark smith December 19, 2012, 9:26 pm

The problems I have encountered today may be the finale breaking point. I have repaired along but this will probably do me in. I expected this to last! Wow reading all these complaints is amazing. So glad I have supported Fix Or Repair Daily vehicles because I have struggled to keep it on the road and pay the rather steep payment just to support my dream of owning a built tough truck. Well if I think what is wrong this time I may have to choose between keeping my home and fixing this well built vehicle just to keep my business going. So glad to keep ford in business because this repair may just shut mine down or lose my home. Buying new one not an option because my credit is shot due to repairs on this model and my 2005 landrover lr3 if I just had payments and not garage bills on either or of these vehicles I may not have ruined credit. So ford owners and I might add the lr3 was owned by ford at year of this vehicle I hope you can sleep at night because I cannot believe I have invested into your piece of shit vehicles I mean every other month one of mine needs repaired which means repair or don’t work and something else doesn’t get paid. I hope the owners of the ford company sleep peacefully knowing you have put many of your faithful buyers in horrible debt just to support the FORD name. Thank god the lr3 engine was not made by ford. We had to fight for new engine in a 1997 ford250 now that I recall.
What the hell why do people support you?

Where do I begin… replaced injectors, harness, fuel pump, icp scensor, egr cooler and scensor, map scensor, ficm, clutch, flywheel and several other things on our 2003 F 350 6.0 Diesel. We have spent alot of money on this piece of junk, on top of what we purchased it for… which was alot to begin with only to find out that Ford sent these out with problems and just put a band aid over the problem? I would like some advise on how to go about getting involved with the Civil Action Suit? Anyone still taking customers and what the status as of today?

I have a 04 f350 6.0 with 139234 miles, I have spent many hours with it in the garage and my pockets empty. I would like this to be national lawsuit ford needs to give us owner money back so we can keep our faith with ford.

  • Ambretta Tritt January 2, 2013, 2:39 am

Please let me be included in this lawsuit. 2008 f-350 dually 6.4 , 2 engines, 6 radiators and Ford says not our fault!!! I have been a loyal Ford fan since I was a kid. I’ve had six f350 since I was 18 and the only one worth a flip was my 7.3. I’m truly insulted that Ford motor company keeps playing the ” we are not at fault card” the diesel mechanic at the Ford dealership told me ” it’s a ford design issue” . I have wrote numerous Letters to Alan Mually explaining what a hardship this truck has caused….. No reply. Please join me in this lawsuit. Thank you kindly!

  • Steve Wilkinson January 2, 2013, 9:08 am

We’re a small volunteer ambulance company in MD. In 2012 we have spent $10K plus on engine repairs to our 2005 E-450 ambulance with only 36,000 miles on the odometer. All the usual stuff, head gaskets, turbo, EGR, injectors, etc. No warranty help from Ford. Looking for an open action/lawsuit I can join. Thanks.

  • Suzan January 3, 2013, 2:31 pm

How do I join up? I have two 2006 models and both have been terrible. Can’t drive them and can’t sell them. Repairs in excess of 22,000 between the two of them.

2003 F 350/6.0 currently with 81,000 + miles. Took truck into dealership at about 22,000 miles.replaced stuck open egr valve and reflashed PCM. truck had occasional billowing/grinding noise from intake/ turbo area.took truck in 2 more times for this noise and was told there was no way to track down thru OBD connection.[ still under Ford warranty ]
So far have replaced EGR twice, 4 injectors, 1 turbo charger,1 oil cooler, 1 EGR cooler, 1 fuel filter housing, 2 alternators ,1 transmission[due to alternator #2 failure] . Truck serviced regularly! All told this truck has cost our family over 10,000 .00 in repairs for 60,000 miles.I don’t like to see my wife in tears!Too much pain /aggravation for this once loyal Ford buyer. please include us .

  • Deb Poradek January 6, 2013, 11:56 pm

We just spent another $$4500 on our 2006 Ford F250, – ERG cooler, oil cooler etc. making the grand total for 2010 almost $10K – fixed the FICM and turbo already this year. This truck also leaked oil from the day we brought it home, engine taken apart twice while under warranty.
Please send us any information about this lawsuit and who to contact in Wisconsin.

  • Darren L. Treharne January 16, 2013, 10:03 pm

I have been a loyal ford owner my whole life, this 2004 F-350 6.0 is one of the biggest lemon’s to ever hit the market!!! I’ve had the head gaskets replaced at 45,000 miles under warranty along with numerous trips to the dealership for engine related issues. Now I have a huge boat anchor sitting in my yard with 80,000 miles on it, blown head gaskets, broken turbo, clogged up egr valve & oil cooler. I want my money back or compensated enough to put a Cummins 5.9 engine in it. Sign me up. Ford just man up, admit you put a piece of crap on the market and take are of your customers!!!

  • Pam and Bill Carr January 17, 2013, 7:22 am

My husbands 2005 Ford 6.0L diesel van has been repaired 2 times in the last year. We have put 5,000.00 into the truck in 13 months. We would also like to join in the lawsuit. Bought brand new from Ford. How do we go about joining the suit?

  • Mark Howard January 19, 2013, 12:04 am

We purchased our 2005 Ford F350, At 40k vacuum frump went outdoor. warranty covered all but $100 Labor . We bought extended warranty $3000 . At 62,000 miles head gskets blew out lucky thing extended warranty less another $100. w at 72,000 oil cooler is clogged . Warranty said, oil parts were covered but Ford says no oil cooler isn’t covered even though it says so in the warranty. so beyond send the center of the engine it’s going to cost me around 6000 dollars to fix. Thanks

  • Kim January 22, 2013, 10:42 am

    Hello,

My husband and I have a 2005 Ford F250 diesel. We bought the truck less than 2 years ago for $25,000, and have had to put almost $25,000 in repairs since then. The dealership continues to fix things that aren’t wrong, even though they sold us a truck with a cracked header, they are now admitting to a cracked header, which will be upwards of $5,000 to fix. We are in Canada, but we want to be added to the class action lawsuit filed in the USA. Can someone confirm if this is possible? How do we handle this as we need the truck for him to work? Does anyone know if we can secure a litigator and go after them this way? Would we sue the dealership or Ford Canada? Thank you

  • stuart williams January 22, 2013, 1:32 pm

i was lucky i only had to spend 10 grand at a private shop and he fixed all the trouble, the shops name is Toms Quality service in Yakima Washington ,give him a call see what he say’s about your problems. dont go to a dealer they are crooks!

  • Kirby Cardenas January 29, 2013, 1:25 pm

How do I join in Lawsuit?

  • Steve Timm January 29, 2013, 3:19 pm

I would like to get in on the lawsuit. My company has 4 Ford trucks that are in and out of the shop (mostly in). I am currently taking one of the 2007’s to Ford and will drop it at their door. I was just told that it would cost $6,000 (+/-) for repairs that have were supposedly taken care of.
