I’ve been trying over two years to get a lower interest rate and lower payment with the Obama making homes more afforable. I would call and get transfered to different. They make me a long time on te phone. When I do get someone they would tell me I need to send more information. I have faxed and mailed all the papers. They wait until the forms expire and say they need more information. Ive been unsucessful in getting this modification done.

We got the same run around with Chase was told we were modified wrong we had to pay 100.00 more than what we were original paying. we got behind in payments, was told in for Foreclosure never notified of this, found out when I called to make payment. We have filed Chapter 13 bk to try and save our house payment is more than what we can afford don’t know if we will be able to hold on to the house. We are in Indiana anyone out there from Indiana filing suit against Chase?

Please let me know how to get a class action against J. P. Morgan Chase. I’m in.

          Thank you,

          • M. J. Harrell January 6, 2012, 6:29 am

Chase has driven up the price of the house after three years of tacking on payments instead of offering Obama’s Making Home Affordable Plan.
Three years of putting me off. Then when they did offer something, it was MORE than the original loan.

Im in ohio and have been trying to get a modification since the summer of 2009. If you ask for a modication packet you never recieve it. The only way to get it is to download it from thier website. I have sent modification documents a total of 3 times and then they will say they never got it or some of your documents AFTER the packet expires. I have overnight reciepts, fax confirmations, emails its just so horrible. They will ask for documents they didnt ask you for in the first set of documents. I talked to them again to today and now they are asking for a 4506-T which they have NEVER asked for in the other 3 packets previously sent and now updated bank statements. Im at my wits end and Im glad I got online and found this class action lawsuit everything in the complaint is exactly what is happening to me.

Happen to me the same way with J P Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, as services of loan…..The refuse to provide the true owners of the loans and bondholders. Banks were not getting documents promised faxed with acknowledgements by their branches of Chase and submitted 4 Times……they lost or insisted send for them again since last August 2010….tax documents, income stubs, whatever needed sent, and client or myself, never receive one acknowledgement. J P Chase after one year of accepting full payments on mortage in 2010, then in nov 2010 they had a new strategy, to receive to accept payments from me at all. Then they put the home in Foreclosure with out giving warning or notice or allowing appeals at all before taking full payments for 12 months or longer or in that month and turned it over to a lawfirm (Quality Assurance) in San Diego so they could collect from fees from the Client….by april they doubled the attorney fees by still refusing to accept 15,000 in back mortgage in one lump sum…..and still with no loan mods of 4 applied for and not one letter approval yet with all the documents sent multiple times. Fanny Mae guarantees these loans and they are refusing to take payments at all now. some properties have dropped from $880 k to $440k and they are still expecting us to pay at the indebtness that is way over inflated for the present value of the home. Some one has a Grand Fraud Scam going on while the Rest of the Country is blind………or not care cause now they can pay and buy homes at half price and the banks are guaranteed the full foreclosure prices, get money for same and give us 1099 ‘s Mort A or C for the Jack UP’ prices so it looks like they make a profit on their books while the IRS tries to tax the average Joe as tho this is Gain when the house is half the value…..Where is the Equity in this. Maybe we need a blog in Facebook for this with 400 million members or more or it should go out on twitter to hammer down in ‘class action’ suits the unruly banks. They are just like Tammany Hall, Standard Oil…..where is the FTC Anti-trust arm in all this?

The Federal Gov’t, FBI Fraud Unit for Lenders, Dept of Treasurer, IRS, Office of the Comptroller, President Obama’s Cabinet, Senators and Representatives…….should be following up on this and trying to steal peoples money and homes as seniors or regular people after they live there more than 10-20 years. There should be lots of class action suits against all banks doing this. It has gotten way too complicated and way too Dirty. OMG is this America? or Communist China? or Russia where people have no Voice any longer?

I lost my job past november and since then I was trying to get a loan modification. I got a job in march and had mediation meeting on may 04 2011. I called two weeks ago and was told by chase representative that last thing they want to do is foreclose and I requested to speak with my relationship manager from which of course never heard anything. Yesterday i got a letter from their lawyer saying they will proceed with foreclosure. I spent months trying to work out a deal with them, faxing the paperwork over and over calling them and etc to get nowehere. They will trow single mother and sick person out on the street rather than helping me. I am trying to get back on my feet but its been hard. Any advice? I really think of looking for lawyer to sue them..Thanks

        • Kasey July 21, 2011, 8:39 pm

I’m in Oklahoma and my husband and I went through the same thing over a year ago. It is sooo stressful. Our lawyer was aweful and basically said that there was noting we could do since we defaulted on our loan. We went rounds and rounds with Chase and never got anywhere. We were only behind $1,800.00 and they ended up tacking on over $2,000.00 in lawyer’s fees on top of it. It took us a year to catch up. We have all the proper documentation showing that we contacted them and tried to work out an agreement, but in the long run it did us no good. It was going to cost more for a lawyer to sue them than it was just to pay it. I hated every time I sent them money bc I felt like they were stealing from me. It stresses me out just reading everyone’s posts because we went through the same stuff. I just can’t believe that they are getting away with it.

    • nick November 29, 2011, 10:45 am

Same thing happened with the loan modification. Is there a class action lawsuit in Ohio? They offered me a buyout then told me the next day it was sold.

  • Patty E. Hanson April 12, 2011, 1:41 pm

How do I initiate a class action law suit in the state of Wisconsin? This is exactly what Chase is doing here.
    Thank You,
    Patty E. Hanson

    • Niki April 28, 2011, 7:54 am

Have you gotten any comments back on your question? I also live in Wisconsin and have the same question as you. I would be more than happy to assist with filing a class action lawsuit against JP Morgan Chase. I’ve been screwing around with them for 3 years now and can’t get anywhere with them. Thanks,Niki

    • Jeff April 28, 2011, 7:10 pm

Patty, We went through the modification here in WI also and were charged 80k almost a 1/3 of our principal, and had to pay 8k in order for them to process our file, our file was lost or incomplete 4 times having to send the exact paperwork as the first time. It took a year to become complete. We went through the chains and were passed from dept. to dept. each holding the other responsible. So we never were able to speak with anyone to assist us. I spent a total of 14 hrs on the phone and got nowhere, its frustrating. We sold our home and just recently got a foreclosure notice, they have been hitting our credit report for 10 months of late/no payments. on a sold home. I just despised having to pay interest to such a corrupt institution so we sold. We are seeking consel.

      • Dan June 6, 2011, 2:40 pm

My wife and I may be interested in joining a Class Action law suit against Chase in Wisconsin. After four very frustrating months, we were turned down for a Making Home Affordable modification. Chase told us by phone it was due to the fact that we did not earn enough. As it turns out, we did not meet the qualifications for the Making Home Affordable modification in the first place because our mortgage payment did not exceed a certain percentage of our earnings. Chase should have known this from the start. We never did get a denial letter. Then, 9 months later, we get a letter from Chase indicating that we were turned down for the modification because the principal owed on our house exceed the $750,000 cap. Seriously? We live in a small cape cod home and owe just $100,000.

    • michele m June 29, 2011, 5:26 pm

After having trouble with making my monthly mortgage payments Chase sent me a notification that I may be eligible for a loan modification through HAMP (a government program that requires modificaiton instead of foreclosure). I applied to this program. Chase requested so many documents, mulitple times, and claimed I never submitted financial documents when I actually did. The whole application process was dreadful. Then, after applying for the loan modification, I was accepted to the trial payment plan. I made new lower payments, on time every month for many months. Yet, for some reason Chase denied me a permanent modification. At one point they claimed they had insufficient documentation, which I sent them on numerous ocassions. Has this happened to anyone else? I am in the process of obtaining an attorney, and would like to hear from others who have experienced this with Chase. I do not want to lose my house, and cannot let Chase get away with this kind of business. If anyone is in New York State and is interested please contact me joejoe1815@yahoo.com

    • Howard July 21, 2011, 9:08 am

I also live in Wisconsin and have been trying to get a modification for months. Have sent in the same forms numerous times only to receive info that forms are outdated and need to be resent.
Was “assigned” a Relationship Manager but no matter when I call can NEVER get her on the line, and no matter how many emails I ask reps to send her she never contacts me.
SO if anyone starts a lawsuit against Chase COUNT ME IN!!!
Also please send any info about happenings in WI to me.
      Thank you
      Howard

I am dealing with the same thing as you are with Chase and now JP Morgan. I have even filed the paperwork through one of there Chase banks in Madison…and yet they did not recieve the paperwork. I even have a signed fax form from there own bank that the papers where delivered. In late June Chase Declined my Re-modification plan. Three weeks later they’ve done two things: 1. sold my loan to JP Morgan so the process of forclosure starts all over from day one. 2. they asked me to resend all documentation. Now I’ve been using a third and fourth party as well with my re-modification with Chase and now with JP Morgan so I have two other groups that also have the same set of paperwork trails as me for evidence. Now…I am working on something bigger for Chase/JP Morgan to deal with. Anyone that LIVES in WISCONSIN ONLY please write be your story at jaymaes@msn.com

    • Jay Maes October 3, 2011, 12:44 am

Everyone from Wisconsin. I am working extremely close on this problem. I am putting together the biggest social media website (www.wisconsinforeclosurersstop.org) to go after JP Morgan/Chase. They have done the same to me as they are doing to you. I even sent the paperwork from their own bank, by their own personel person, and they still said they didn’t get it. They have controlled me for two years…now I’m going to return a big black eye to them. I am also working with some very big people in the state of Wisconsin on this as well. I need all of you to contribute to this situation. And to all of Chase’s lawyers….my number is 715-514-1309

Dear Class Action Lawsuits in the news: My case involves Bank of America TRUST, and its servicers, –first, EMC-Chase, and NOW, Morgan Chase. I think it is WRONG to be bounced from division to division, which I think, makes it harder for me to retain my home. All of the above complaints made by others apply ALSO to me, –establishing a “system” of RACKETEERING, to dwarf Bernie Maddoff. I feel a hopeful venue would be the Securities and Exchange Commission, because not only am I NOT refinanced, but the Bank of America Trust stockholders are CHEATED! They are CHEATED,–SWINDLED, because they could recieve dividends from the successful re-instatement of my Mortgage, even if it was reinstated @ 46% of my income, and they could recieve dividends, even if I paid for 40 years @ 31% of my income, but BOTH options are DENIED me, so that FIRST the SERVICERS can recieve “loss-mitigation funds/bonuses FOR Forclosing (where they “make” twice as much as Refinancing and assuming more RISK and Modifying, which is what would help three parties: –ME, –my renter, and the Bank of America Trust Stockholders). LATER, the note holder, Bank of
America Trust, would recieve the 80% of the difference between what the home brought at auction, and what WOULD have been the home’s value, IF paid off, –paid for by the USA TAXPAYERS! This is WHY Foreclosures are PREFERRED by both the SERVICERS…and, those banks who HIRE them. This is ALSO WHY the hiring banks(noteholders) don’t CARE if Foreclosures occur, –I maintain both banks WANT more and more foreclosures, because they KNOW the dollar will fall, and instead of “doing the ‘right thing’, they just want to get in-and-out, WITH the taxpayer’s monies, BEFORE that crash. This is like the mobster loan-sharks NOT wanting their loans to be paid-off, because they can get RICH on the “Vigorish”, that is 10% or more WEEKLY on the un-paid balance. I thought, that “Loan-sharking” was ILLEGAL, but while the bank won’t “break your legs” if you default, with their influence on the credit bureaus, they “break” your FINANCIAL LEGS, so that if you COULD be a homeowner, you will be PREVENTED from being one, in the future. This is not only an attack on a specific homeowner, but this constitutes an ASSAULT on local, state, and county TAX bases,, as it may be several months before a home is rented, especially in the Phoenix market where there are 100,000-plus surplus homes. So the “injured parties” are”–ME, –MY RENTER(–completely innocent party),–the Bank of America Trust stockholders, –the local taxing authorities,–the local merchants who depend on me to maintain my home, but I can’t repair it, if I’m to lose it, so the Servicers PREDATION of me, is a PREDATION of the locale, and, the previously held “Sense of Honor” that was once bankers/banking(–most bankers are now viewed as equal/worse to the “Sheriff of Nottingham” of 12th century England). Friends have come forward, saying they’d be “un-willing” to convict a bank robber, if he hadn’t hurt anyone in the robbing of a bank (–because, you see, the BANKS are “robbing” homeowners who CAN pay, but are NOT ALLOWED…to be refi’d and PAY, –PLUS, the banks are ROBBING…the USA taxpayers!)! I NEED to join a lawsuit, but I have no huge sums to “buy into” such a lawsuit, but I could pay a monthly amount equal to a house-payment, so a large mount could soon accrue.

  • George de Gress April 30, 2011, 6:12 pm

My question is, How many people out there would have the same feeling in doing just that? 10 millions or 20 millions? The proposal should be like this. If those 20 millions of people are gathering together by such action of faith t0 save their home, how big the damage for these executives of JPMorgan Chase will be? Can anyone has an idea? Since they are thinking a court’s consideration is so expensive and the regular folks do not have such ability to fight the monster like our court’s system, but a massive soul of 20 millions or more will change the mind of JPMorgan Chase forever!

  • George de Gress April 30, 2011, 6:35 pm

I am so pleased to hear that JPMorgan Chase have been sued again over mortgage modification and I am so pleased also such action of bringing up an American feeling not only for Chase but also toward other banks. Unfortunately, I’ve searched through court files, consumer complaints, and a hundred of websites and that diseases of JPMorgan Chase’s attitude is just part of its policy and its laughing toward modifications. So far more than 3,000 complaints I have read from them so far, and for the previous three months I got 1,000 thousand people who wish JPMorgan Chase disappears for such failure. But I don’t see anyone from the Bank Associations or Federal Regulations Office step in and start questioning JPMorgan Chase about these complaints or its policy. It will be particularly useful to those who are suffered under this nightmare from JPMorgan Chase or to whom I’d feel uncomfortable writing a letter of pain to tell American people that JPMorgan Chase will not change its arrogance. Most of my concern is now how this company is going to survive, spending its own source from American taxpayers and at the same time telling the government they are doing a great job.

Carol, Can you give me a number and name to go with the information of the class action suite. I too live in mn and have been fighting with Chase since February 2010. I was diangosed with breast cancer, since filed 3 times for modification with the same results. I have submitted a complaint letter with our attorney general, I don’t know what else to do. One Chase representative stated that they wouldn’t refinance with me because I was a medical liability…another called me a liar when I complained about the first rep. They are a heartless company!!

  • Amy May 6, 2011, 8:18 pm

I have been trying for six months to get a modification through Chase. I have filled out the paperwork three times and I have been told it is missing, never received etc. I spoke with someone from Chase and the rep. told me I wasn’t allowed to count my roommate as income because he is not on my loan…What? the HUD representative advised me to get a roommate to help make my mortgage papyments (since I lost my job) and now Chase is saying, “no” I don’t want to loose my home. Chase is making it very difficult to work with and they wouldn’t let me differ a payment…I can’t refinance because I am behind on my mortgage payment. I feel like I can’t win. I really am trying to work this out with Chase and I feel like they are trying to get me to loose my home. I am enrolled in a job retraining program funded by our government…so I am not sitting home every night eating bon-bons I am collecting unemployment, and now have a roommate…and Chase reps say, “No! you are facing Foreclosure unless you pay all current fees…”

Are you in Florida by any chance? Do you know if there’s a class action suit in this state? I’be gone through the same thing with Chase for over two years.

  • james May 9, 2011, 7:58 pm

I have been trying to get a modification from Chase for over 3 years. I have been in the temporary program three times. I made my trial payments as agreed and then they told be I was not qualified. I went through this twice. I have recently been told I was denied for failing to submit paperwork after I had many conversations with Chase that all my paperwork was there. I tried to call today and the person that denied by modification was in California and I am in Florida. He was not in. I tried when i got home from work and the office was closed. I am going to sue Chase. I am currently interviewing attorneys. I may lose my home but Chase will know they are in for a fight. They receive their money and they are breaking the law. If our justice department will not upheld the law then we need a new justice department. I will take this to jury here in North Florida.

    • Maureen September 29, 2011, 8:23 pm

I am in Florida and experiencing the same issues with Chase – please contact me if you are in Florida so we can rally our own class action suit!!!1

  • Jeanette May 15, 2011, 11:33 am

I had a so called modification from Chase home finance. I live n Saint Louis Missed. I am totally disabled & now mentally disturbed cuz Chase took over a year to modify my loan. All I got was bad credit, increased loan more mortgage debt, all credit cards fell behind, increased home home insurance premium, a mortgage forbearance…led to believe was part of modification & Hamp??? Info the end…note increased over $ 200. /monthly. Cant afford to buy groceries. Can’t sleep @ night…insomnia real bad. Adverse affect on my multiple sclerosis!!

  • Michele Kelly May 25, 2011, 6:51 pm

My husband and I lost most of our business in 2008. 6 clients quit in 3 months during and right after the crash. We appealed to Chase did three
modifications sent to different locations each times and all were either denied or lost. We borrowed from friends to try to stay afloat. Now our
income is back and they won’t negotiate with us as all. We have sent another 4 sets of modifications. Each time we get back wrong information for the denial. It is obvious that they just want our house. This has been a demoralizing experience. We have been in our home for 29 years and are not eligable for Hamp but were told we may get the “special Chase” modification. Very untrustworthy people.

  • jennie ruiz May 27, 2011, 4:49 pm

I am in the same boat as most other mortgage holders, underwater on my mortgage. Have contacted Chase numerous times, they give me phone numbers to various programs, who in turn tell me that Chase is not participating in said programs. Have requested principal reduction through Chase, they say, well maybe you can’t afford a home, just walk away. They modified our loan, added 12k in fees, charges, attorney charges, so now I owe more than when I bought the home.

    • Clint September 27, 2011, 12:16 pm

We went through the process for over two years, it was tough but well worth it.  Just received our final loan modification and we did not expect it to be so good: Chase deferred $383,000 to year 2051 with no interest or principal applied.  Our adjusted principal balance is now $618,300 with 2% interest for 5 years; 3% interest for the 6th year; 4% interest for the 7th year; and 4.25% interest for years 8 through 40 (2051).  Principal and interest payment reduced by 67% for the next five years.  Just don’t give up, if you are not approve, do not appeal just reply apply again. Also, Chase did charge us any moneys for the loan modification.  Just follow the process to letter (as instructed).

      • Clint September 27, 2011, 12:21 pm

Correction to my text: Chase did NOT charge us for the loan modification.

  • jax June 8, 2011, 6:30 pm

I have the same problem with Chase. I have been trying to get a modification for 3yrs. I was placed on a forbearance plan for 1yr then they stopped accepting the payments. Now, they just keep asking for the same documents over and over. I gave them everything that the asked for and they are never satisfied with the documents. I think Chase is just giving us the runaround to give the appearance that they are complying with the bailout program.

How can I get in a class action suit in NYS?

  • Carmela Lambert June 10, 2011, 10:35 pm

I think I have a unique promblem with Chase!! I spent a year and a half trying to get my loan modified. Lost paperwork, more paperwork, lost again, more info etc. All the same problems with all of you. I was turned down. I finally found an attorney who found quite of few things that Chase could not do legally, and filed motions with our court in Sarasota, FL. Within 3 weeks, I rec. a congratulations from Chase that my modification went through. (No modification, just the same loan I had before with thousands of dollars added) I have been making payments since Mar. 2011. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS MORTGAGE WHICH STATES THAT MY MATURITY DATE IS MAY 2029. JUST GOT A CALL FROM CHASE A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND THEY SAID THEY MADE A MISTAKE AND MY MODIFICATION NEEDED TO BE STARTED OVER. HOW CAN THEY JUST DISREGUARD A WRITTEN CONTRACT????
THE ROBOT AT CHASE THAT I CALLED SAID THIS IS THE FIRST TIME HE HAS EVER HEAR OF SOMEONE GETTING A MORTGAGE CONTRACT BEFORE THEIR FINAL APPROVAL. WHO’S FAULT IS THIS?????? ANYONE ELSE WITH THIS PROBLEM?????

  • Lisa Johnson June 12, 2011, 6:31 am

Same thing in IL. Sent 5 complete applications (3 of the were over 34 pages and2 were 11pages) and updates almost every month for 13 months. Got a letter at the beginning of May asking for a 4506T and I was looking at my Chase website saying that it had all the paperwork they needed. So I called Chase and talked to a young girl. She told me that they had everything and to ignore the letter. Yesterday I got denied from Chase for not sending in in the info. I have a stack of papers 8 inches high of papers I have faxed them. Now they are threatening to foreclose.

    • Steve D June 24, 2011, 2:56 pm

Lisa, we’re also in Illinois and have been going through the Chase modification process for eighteen months. We’ve gone through the trial period and sent in hundreds of documents (we’re self-employed) several times but to no avail. We just started another modification round from scratch. We’re beyond frustrated. Let us know if you hear about a class action suit in Illinois.

      • Jen E August 21, 2011, 10:41 pm

Steve and Lisa – My husband and I too have been in this neverending maze of horror with Chase. Going on almost a year here. Lost paperwork…that you know was sent SO many times it is insane. Then the letter of denial telling you that you have 30 days to pay all late payments that they told us NOT to make in the first place becuase it would make the numbers change and cause issues. So you have to wonder where the heck do they think I can come up with 10 grand in 30 days from ?? REALLY! We were told the payments would be added onto the end of the loan once it was modified. LIES LIES LIES ! So sick of CHASE and their minipulative ways. They claim they restarted the loan modification process, oh joy! Then two weeks later I get a letter in the mail from their lawyers. My Loan Balance when this whole ordeal started 10 months ago was approx 72,000 and now they are stating because of late fees and other fees it is now 91.980 ???? How do these people live with themselves? Is the company run by Satan himself? I am in tears, we have a small child, I am out of work, this is taking a serious toll on us. Anyone aware of a Class Action Suit in Illinois? I am all for it if you have any information. God bless you all as this unfolds and may we all find a way out of this horrible mess.

        • Renee November 19, 2011, 12:18 am

I’ve been going through this nightmare with case for 3 yrs. Every other week it’s send me this or send me that then I hear nothing until t he papers expire. Then they came back and said they have assigned a person just for your file and you won’t get bounced around. I’ve been dealing with the same lady for almost a year asking for one thing after the next. She told me it was in underwriting and then they needed more up to date papers. My husband and I both got laid off so we couldn’t make the full payments but were paying half just to stay afloat. She told me not to make the partial payments anymore because they were about to give me 3 big payments that I had to make and ontime. I questioned her about not making any payments but she said use that money to catch up on other things because you have to make those 3 pmts as soon as they tell you and to the exact date they tell you. Needless to say, after 10 mths, we still haven’t received the modification nor the 3 big payments. She went as far as telling me what my new payments were going to be. We are now so far behind there’s no way to catch up. The lady called today to say they might not be able to do the modification. I couldn’t stop crying on the phone. She said she’s going to talk to someone in her office to see if they can put the deliquent pmts on the end and keep the payments the same high $1616. They have us up against the wall!!!! I told this her I’ve been talking to her for almost a year and she’s been playing me all along. I should have known when a Chase rep just showed up at my house one day. I wasn’t home and they left a note on my door that they stopped by. Now I think they were looking at the property trying to determine if they were going to try to take it back or not. She also said they sent me papers over a year ago offering me a payment difference of $88 and I declined it!! I never did anything with it because it was only $88 and I still couldn’t afford it. Besides, I was with this NACA company that screwed us too. We need help.

  • Missy June 13, 2011, 1:06 pm

We have been going through the same thing for the last 2 yrs! Its always something! They say the paperwork is incomplete, then we make to much then, not enough, whats next? We are in PA how do I go about starting a suit here? I am soo tired of this and the control these people seem to think they have over our lives!!!

  • Derrick June 14, 2011, 9:41 am

WOW!!!…When I read these responses, its like I’m looking at a carbon copy of what Chase has done with me. What needs to be done to start a Class Action Lawsuit in North Carolina as well.

I was on the phone with one of the representives a few months ago, and he told me that Chase never took any bailout money…I told him, yeah…they did. We went back and forth, and finally I gave him a website to refer to.

These are the type of people you have working on our modifications…Misinformed and clearly disconnected to what their company is doing.

  • Jo June 16, 2011, 7:41 pm

My husband & I have been through all the same things with Chase. We live in Minnesota and would love to see some class action against Chase! They do this because they can get away with it. We have been trying to modify for 2 years because we both lost our jobs of 25 + years. First they couldn’t modify (after paying the modification payments) because my husband was still unemployed. They had no problem accepting the payments however. Now they denied modification because we make too much. We both make half as much as we used to and there is no way we can make the full payment. Chase has now said they will be foreclosing.

    • G Yang October 17, 2011, 10:09 am

Yes, I heard there is a class action against Chase in MN here and my parents and I will be seeing the lawyer this Friday. Just thought I let you know. We are seeing Atty. Jordan Lewis in Mpls.

  • Richard Galluzzi June 22, 2011, 9:20 am

My story is exactly like everyone else I see. Two and a half years later my modification if not complete, as if Chase ever intended it to be. Mounds of faxes to them yet they continue either not to receive some type of paper they need or say it has been mailed out yet I have never received one mailing from them. I have been assigned 3 relationship managers and everytime I think I have someone who knows what they are doing and we make headway they switch the person I deal with and I have to start over. I am in Ohio and by reading there are probably thousands in Ohio that will either be so far behind on their mortgages or lose their homes. Is there an Attorney out there in the State of Ohio that is willing to represent us. I am willing to do any kind of information gathering or petitioning needed.

  • Jessica June 25, 2011, 10:12 am

I really want to know how to go about getting in on this. that is exactly what chase told me to do. Miss two payments then I qualify for a modification. Then they never assigned the mod to a agent, just nmonth after month kept giving me the run around until my paystubs were 30 days old and I had to resubmit them again. over a year later still no modification done. thank god I went back to school and my first grant check I got from what was left over from tuition caught my morgage back up before they could foreclose. I feel they were close. Now my credit is not so good and I got to wait 6 months to refi so Im told but I will NEVER do business with them again. they did so good on my car loan but obviously cant be trusted with my home!!

  • CECELIA ROBERTSON June 25, 2011, 10:21 am

CHASE IS DOING THE EXACT SAME THING IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA, I ALMOST LOST MY HOME FOR THE EXACT SAME REASON. DO YOU KNOW OF ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA?

  • Amy June 28, 2011, 2:26 pm

My husband and I applied for a mortgage remodification with Chase. Over the entire course of 9 months and after repeated phone calls, faxes of repeated documentation that they would say they don’t have or expired or lost in the shuffle? We were turned down stating we did not get past first base due to home mortgage payment percentage did not exceed our salary ratio? Although before we started the process they said we did qualify and nothing changed for us financially we had gotten in worse shape due to decreased income from me being temporary disabled. Needless to say we got the run around. But the real kicker is our credit is suffering like we filed mortgage bank ruptcy and we did nothing but apply for a modification. We recently found this out by trying to buy a used car, in which we were turned down for the loan. How could something that is supposed to help people in hard times be the opposite? I would love to know the legal side to this. Has anyone else had there credit hurt by just applying for a modifation?

  • Yuncai June 28, 2011, 8:00 pm

Final approval was declined, because “you wish to cancel your request, or you failed to accept the offer materials within the required time period” (Chase letter). The truth is we didn’t cancel the modification, and we signed and returned the Agreement on time. We have decided stop paying the mortgage since May, but don’t know what will happen. Expect your advices, commons. Appreciate!

The following is the long story, and thank you for your time to read it.

Residents in Orange County, California. We are eligible for Obama home modification plan (HAMP), so we submitted the application. Chase accepted the application and gave us a trial modification after repeatedly collection of information as most customers experienced. We passed the trial (4 trial payments, almost $500 higher than original mortgage payment per month – Chase explained the trial payment includes property tax and insurance) and received the Agreement at the beginning of this February.

We found that the principal balance in the Agreement is almost 7k more than the number in the monthly bill. Considering we have no behind pay and trial pay is higher than the original one, we called Chase at 866-550-5705, but nobody can tell us what’s happen. May be the computer system didn’t update promptly, we thought. We signed the Agreement and returned it ON TIME, before the deadline. Together with the signed Agreement, we attached a appreciation letter and three notes pointing out the wrong numbers and asked Chase to correct and update them.

Three weeks later, we got another Agreement, exactly same copy of the first. Why twice…, called 888-708-4692 and expressed our concern – the deadline. We were told to sign and date the day, without any helpful explanation. We signed again and returned it without any notes via enclosed FedEx envelop. Basing on the Agreement and the representatives’ suggestions, we paid the mortgage with new interest (4.625) plus property tax for March and April, two months.

At the end of April, a Chase letter told us “…not to proceed with the modification either because you notified us that you wish to cancel your request, or you failed to accept the offer materials within the required time period”. You all understand that this is NOT true. Therefore, we visited the local Chase modification office (Santa Ana branch), and showed them the evidences. The problem is: the signed second agreement cannot be found in the computer. Therefore, the advisor let us write to “Chase LM Executive Office, P.O. Box 183166, Columbus, OH 43218-3166”. We wrote three letters in the past two months, no any response.

We didn’t pay the mortgage for two months, May and June. Chase now calls us we owe money. I know these phone calls are from another department, but don’t understand why Chase worked like that.

  • michele m June 29, 2011, 5:27 pm

    Thank you for reading

if anyone has the name of an attorney in texas that would be willig to take on chase let us know after almost 2 yrs of mod pmts, having to refax, resend, resign docs that were lost or not rcvd we filed chp 13 chase even told us the mod was approved only to send us foreclosure papers shortly therafter.

    • wideawake October 19, 2011, 3:18 pm

Did you ever get a response to your request regarding an attorney in Texas that would be willing to take on Chase. I am trying to help a friend in Texas who does not have the time to be on hold with Chase for an hour only to get disconnected! He is trying to WORK to pay his bills and cannot spend DAYS on Chase.
Similar story. I am appalled that the government allows this kind of conduct.

  • kristine July 12, 2011, 10:33 pm

Does anyone know of a class action suits in the state of Florida? We have been trying to get a modification for over 2 years only to be told that we have to refax forms, applications, etc. We have been making the adjusted payments, however they keep sending us stuff on possible forclosure, when we call to question they just tell us all they need is updated forms. Today we found a blank envelope on the front door, when I opened it I found a form letter from chase telling us to call them in and to have account number ready. Nothing was filled in, name date etc on the letter. When we called they denied that anyone was sent to the home and again said that we needed to send another application. I have a feeling that we are not getting the truth, that they are starting the forclosure process. I can’t find any information on and class action suits in florida or on the east coast.

    • Cindy August 9, 2011, 9:41 pm

Did you find a class action suit being pursued in Florida? My nightmare has just begun, I’m afraid.

      • kristine August 17, 2011, 9:23 am

No I haven’t been able to locate one in florida or NY. We are getting conflicting paperwork from Chase again now and I am afraid the nightmare has just begun for me as well. WE NEED AN ATTORNEY IN FLORIDA TO HELP US!!!!!!

    • Maureen September 29, 2011, 8:25 pm

Contact me and I will start a rally here in Florida. We must ban together to take action!

  • Angie July 13, 2011, 10:53 am

Sign me up as a participant in the class action lawsuit against Chase. This is my second time applying for a home modification and once again Chase has begun with the “run around business.” I send in the app and then I call to make sure they received everything, they tell me “yes they have everything.” When I call a week later for an update, I am told additional paperwork is needed. Same song and dance for the last year. If anyone has information about lawsuit in Texas, please post.

  • Tracy Brock July 14, 2011, 1:10 pm

After 4 months of submitting and re-submitting documents for my application for a loan modification,325 pages in all, I was denied because I do not make enough money for a LOWER payment. I am currently making all payments for full amounts. The government HAMP program clearly states: if “You have a mortgage payment that is more than 31 percent of your monthly gross (pre-tax) income. ” as one of the eligibility requirements. Chase denied me because I was not at 31% exactly (income to mortgage ratio). They consistently make up whatever reasons they want for denial, lose documents, never receive documents, anything to deny a modification. AARRRGGLHHHH

  • Gretchen Wheaton July 15, 2011, 9:18 pm

My story is similiar to all of yours. I was approved for modification, making my payments on time to Chase and then they told me I had to start the modification program all over again. I have been denied this time. I have bent over backwards sending paperwork after paperwork in to them. They say they do not receive it, some things I have never received. I am going into foreclosure. I am a grieving widow on a small income from social security and husband’s pension. Barely make ends meet. I live in PA. Is there a class action law suit in my state? Really need some help.

    • Charles and Pam. September 18, 2011, 3:02 pm

I hear you Gretchen, we have also have sent paperwork after paperwork after paperwork, and HMMMMMMM they keep loosing it!!!

  • Kellie Spencer July 19, 2011, 10:33 pm

I am in pennsylvania…….I am just exhausted from this mortgage nightmare……I have been trying to do this modification program…I was first told I sent in an application that was no longer used(they hadn’t used that one for at least a year) funny they are the ones that mailed it to me…..then everytime I faxed a new one I was told it was expired…I have faxed papers so many times I have lost count.this last time I faxed my entire application ….again….called th about 7 days later….they didn’t even look at it and put me into active foreclosure.I have a son who is severly autistic with mild retardation….. I have worked very hard to make our home safe for him….and also community safe…..everyone here knows him…..I am sick that I might lose my home……….Kellie

I to live in PA. my story is the same as the rest. I was forced into Bankrupcy this past summer. We need to find more people in PA to start a class action lawsuit here. I dont know how to go about this. Please email me if anyone finds anything out. girlsracetwo@hotmail.com

  • Kasey July 21, 2011, 8:52 pm

If there is anyone in Oklahoma that is going through the same thing I would be more than HAPPY to take part in a class-action! They don’t need to get away with this. It was a year of Hell for me and my family.

  • Don July 22, 2011, 4:44 pm

This program was offered to me by Chase (they contacted me) when I fell behind two payments. After filling out all the paperwork and being assured it had all been recieved, I was denied because I did not file all the paperwork. I was told to re-apply. This time they said my income was to low, well REALLY, if my income had not changed I would not have fallen behind. This has been going on for well over a year and in the meantime they have completely destroyed my credit and they truly could care less. Each time I call I have to go through the same battery of questions, answering the same over and over and over again. Then with each different rep I speak with I am told somthing completely different. Calls are recorded? BS – they are not since they can never produce the calls to verify what had been told to me. My last filing I was told in March 2011, I was told I should qualify and the entire process would take 4-6 weeks. It is now nearing the end of July 2011 and my problems have still not been resolved. Ofcourse I was told I needed to fax in additional paperwork. I faxed it….they said they did not get it…I faxed it….they said they did not get it. Finally went to the chase branch in Speedway IN and asked if they could fax the forms. I explained that for some reason they are not getting my faxes, the young lady smiled and said I understand they usually cannot seem to find what we fax them either. After faxing them, I called to verify they had been recieved. This time they had them and they told me it will go to the underwriters and should take about 4 weeks to be resolved and new terms would be sent out to me. I will bet there will be more requests or they will find some reason to deny me again. The entire division of Chase Loan Mods is a complete joke. I hope a class action suit can be filed in Indiana. Those bastards need to pay for my many nights of restless sleep worrying that I may lose my home. I can truly say accepting this offer was the single worst mistake I have ever made. I HATE Chase!!!

  • Jeremy in FLA July 26, 2011, 2:44 am

Chase denied my modification request twice and is now attempting to floreclose on me because I owe them $10,000 + after making trial modification payments along with amassed interest, fees, and penalties. If there is a class action against them in FL, I will march in the front of the line in order for these losers to get theirs. Chase is evil in my book.

  • fme July 26, 2011, 8:01 pm

Would love to join a class action in NY against Chase. I have not defaulted on my payments and due to illness have lost a large part of my income. I filed for a modification in Jan 2011 and still waiting. Submitted all the paper work time and time again. Getting no where fast.

  • Faith Strong July 26, 2011, 10:35 pm

I too have had similar negative experiences with Chase. They stalled for 4 months telling me to resubmit, submit new paperwork, update profit and loss statements, etc. I was also told that in order to qualify for a loan modification I would have to take my home off the market. Did I mention I am a Real Estate Agent and my income has plummeted over the last 6 years. I lost 4 crucial months of peak selling time due to that erroneous advice from some moron who was probably reading from the corporate script designed to confuse and infuriate any caller. The first day I called Chase I must have spoken to at least 15 people and God bless them each and every one of them told me something different or conflicting. I got transferred from one dept. to another and then sometimes transferred right back. Unfortunately or maybe not from hearing the horror stories above, my end result was that I have been denied home loan modification because I was told and I quote “my hardship was not permanent.” Now that my friends, is directly against the governments order as of Dec. 2010. It took over 4 months for them to get their act together enough to review my paperwork and yet within 1-2 days they denied me. And this is very unusual but no one there seems to have a last name. When asked they can’t give our their last name beyond an initial. How clever of Chase. Well, I arrived home this evening and I had a Fed Ex package on the porch and guess who from? My good old buddies at Chase. They swiftly sent me a packet with documents for me to sign for a “Short Sale” or a “Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure.” Did I mention I have not missed a payment yet? They just can’t wait for my “imminent foreclosure.” I think they are stalling with people’s paperwork so they can ultimately foreclose. After all, they make a heck of a lot more money foreclosing than modifying. HAMP is a joke since there is no enforcement against these unscrupulous banking entities and their subversive tactics. Sign me up for the suit. I am calling the Attorney General and voicing my complaint. In fact, I think I am going to file complaints with each and every government entity who might be willing to listen and maybe someone will rise to the occasion and be of some real assistance. I am a tax paying citizen so call me naive but I still have some hope left that someone out there cares and can stop this nationwide atrocity of undue foreclosures just for the banks pure profit and ease. Wouldn’t it be wild if everyone in America stopped paying their mortgages? What would happen to dear old Chase in that scenario? Who would default then? What a travesty the banks and their incessant greed have made of this country. Are the banks too big to be shamed into submission?

  • Cynthia August 3, 2011, 6:19 pm

I can’t even start to tell you about the things I have gone through with Chase over the last five years. They are trying hard to wear me out, but they got the wrong one because I am going to fight like hell to keep my home. Count me in for the state of Minnesota. Email me if you have already started or are planning to start a class action lawsuit.

    • FJ August 15, 2011, 4:52 pm

Like your attitude – we are in CA and are not giving up either and fighting as hell. Yup, they got us on that loan modification scam also. “This freight train scam has got to stop!”
That’s what the banks are trying to do – wear us out – because they’ve gotten away with everything and govt. not doing anything about it. They are probably laughing and just keeps on stealing people’s homes. I don’t know how they sleep at night?
Karma is going to catch up with them soon…

This is just a word of encouragement for you and everybody else – “don’t give up on what you believe”…

    • Darlane November 6, 2011, 10:55 am

Cynthia, have you heard more about a suit in minnesota. I’ve been searching the net with no luck. Did you file a complaint with the attorney general?

    • tom December 19, 2011, 9:29 pm

I have had a mortgage with Chase for about 7 years. I got behind since my income dropped in 2008. Chase sent me papers many times to modify my loan. They always seem to give me the run around. When I did the loan in 2004 with Chase. They inflated my home appraisal and my wifes income. And now that the sheriff sale already happen I am having a lawyer sue my lender. Chase did my appraisal wrong. My loan app wrong and my truth and lending statement wrong.

      • tom February 10, 2012, 1:27 am

Chase mortgage did that with me too. We have had our loan with Chase and they inflated the appraisal, income and the truth and lending statement

  • ronnie manning August 5, 2011, 11:11 pm

Please advise me if there is a class action suit in the state of Texas. I have been through 2 attempts at a loan mod program, and gave up. Was told to stop paying my mortgage or the under-writer would kick out the paperwork… 90 days late on my credit now! Did a repayment plan to catch up and was lied to about my credit being repaired, so I had to sell off assets to catch up and keep a little bit of credit. Lost $1500 to a loan modification company attempting to help my situation…. family member in Austin with a different mortgage company used the same guy with no problem and is in the program! CHASE is bullying the general public and needs to be spanked. Their gross negligence is causing loss of property, and undo stress in people’s marraiges! I would classify that as negliglence and assault, which is punishable in a court of law!!! Someone please start a Class Action Suit against them!!!

I had three UAW Legal Service Attorneys working to save my home of 25 years and Chase Bank refused to work with them. Unfortunately, I lost my home after Chase recommended a housing counseling agency. After recommending the agency, Chase acted as if they had never heard of them.

My husband and I have tried several attempts with Chase Mortgage and they refused, gave us the round around and will not reduce our monthly payments. If there’s a class action lawsuit, please count us in.

Chase is the WORSE and I don’t understand how the government allow them to handle business like they do and mis-treat consumers who unfortunately had their mortgages transferred to them.

  • Jay Maes August 13, 2011, 3:19 pm

We’ve been trying for almost 3 years and finally received our “Permanent Loan Modification Documents” last Friday.
Chase offered a slightly lower interest rate, a HUGE Interest and Escrow Amount to be added on. All this after 3 years!!! Unbelievable!
Here are the details of their offer:

We would be going from a P&I (only, no escrows) payment of $1,572.82 to $1,467.29. After 292 months of payments, we will have still have an additional balloon payment of $184,004.81 !!!!! Which means we will have to refinance or have a lot of $$$ in the bank at that time.

After the 292 payments at the same interest rate, we will still have a P&I payment of $1,044.75 for another 30 years, provided we can get financing.

With this scenario, we could be making mortgage payments for the next 54 years!!!

I went thru that, they offered me a ridiculous package which I refused, stop paying them, went for Bankruptcy but want to save my home. Im able to start a lawsuit against EMC/CHASE in the NJ area, so if someone has the same situation in this area, please contact me, together we might be able to get something affordable.

My son has been trying to work with Chase since April 2009. For a Modification and I will fill the paper work out send it in and like always they want moe information and they put my son on a 3 month payment plan and as long as he made the payment on time they would lower his payment. They excepted the first 2 payments and the last one sent back for failure to not pay the full amount due. I called didn’t do any good they told me to fill the modification out again, so I did and again for the 2nd time denied. All in all have been denied 4 times but have been told to fill the modification out a resubmit. So now my son borrowed money to pay for half of the back due amount and themn they set him up on a payment plan for 10 months as long as he is not late then they won’t foreclose. But he cannot make these payment that they set up. tried to call today and was told you can fill out a modification, I actually got irrate and said we have been trying to work something out since 2009 with you people and you keep stalling. So what is my son to do?

I wrote to my state Attorney Generals office in 1999 thru 2000. I had one child with a near fatal motor vehicle injury and I too had an injury and needed surgery, my loan lapsed, and was offered a loan modification by chase I sent the funds that was required and was sent back the funds indicating I had a lien, turns out the lien belonged to the builder, but chase refused to give me the loan modification back, and forced me into foreclosure proceedings. And subsequentely forced me out of my home Under foreclosure proceedings, I was forced to return the property. ( also witness another home owner, who placed her home on the market get forced out, chase refuse to let her sell it (due to divorce) I ended up living in a homeless shelter. I wrote to the Attorney Generals office back then, and never got anywhere if there is a class action lawsuit out there I want to be a part of it regardless of the years in difference. It was stated the beginning of the mortgage crunch began when I lost my home. However no one was listening because of the large banks and privilege. 5 yrs later and forclosures were happening by a dozen a day and thus we have a mortgage crisis.

I am in Florida and I am trying to find an attorney who is maybe doing any Lawsuits? i have smae expereince as everyone else, denied 3 times but told do re-do. The problem is modification take in consideration of old payment into your DTI (debt to Incone), so ofcourse no one qualifiies? if we all could afford our old payment we would be making it duh! I really think we need to do something globally this is a disgrace..HAMP is ajoke, banks can still do whatever they want and with all the fraud they have committed (robo signer fraud, etc) this is a nightmare Americans are forced to endure!! Mtg brokers, realtors, aprraisers are all going to jail. what about the big boys! they are the worst of it, they are the ones who dreamed up the Sub prime loan scams, knowing it would fail then make money on selling the stock short” boy they are brilliant!

Hi, my name is Angela, and I have dealt with some of the same things you all have had to endure with JPChase Morgan. I would definitely like for you to count me in regarding a lawsuit againist them. It has been so frustrating and stressful dealing with this run around with Chase. I am so fed up with them, and it has cost me more than I would have ever imagined. They are undercover thieves in my book!!! Count me in!!!! You can email me at neala32@yahoo.com if you have the same issue or complaint…. Thanks!

As I read through all the comments, I KNOW EXACTLY what everyone is going through!! It was as if you all have ESP and read my mind! My husband and I have been through it all!!! EVERYTHING!!! We live in Wisconsin we got scamed by a Loan Modification service. We began working directly with Chase. Sending them the packet of information they asked, only to be told we did not qualify because they didn’t get all the documents they requested. Chase Home finance claimed that they did not receive our papers, we did the a “forbearance agreement” with them twice. First one was for 6 months, and the 2nd one was for 3 months. Our payments were on time and they still came up with a reason that we were disqualified. They didn’t receive our payments or our payment was late. They were accepting my payments until August 2009,which they sent my check back to me! We were suppose to have a “Relationship Manager” whom we would work with, instead of getting someone else everytime we would call Chase. She told us to send the payment back in form of a money order! We did, and Chase returned it to us. And our “Relationship Manager” works for Chase??? What’s wrong with this picture?? We are presently in the process of working through a lawyer in Milwaukee, WI for a loan mod, whom we have been denied once again with our lawyer for a loan modification. Chase didn’t give our lawyer a reason why they denied us through them! We have been going through this since 2009! And I know the frustration you all are feeling!! We get the same letters and phone calls all the time!!! So “COUNT ME IN” for any class action suit!! Our credit has suffered because of Chase and they continue to put drag it out.

  • Kim September 18, 2011, 11:41 pm

I am so sick with stress and crap from Chase Home Finance. My husband at the time and I were working on a Modification and faxed in every document as well but was told each time we needed to fax in more documents. We did and I have the paperwork and notes as to when I called. We tried 2 different times to get a home loan modification and still got the run around. Our house went into foreclosure, and we were wanting to save it, that is why we were trying to get this modification. Then we got served for our house to be sold and I called and was promised it wouldnt be sold bc we were in the process of working with the modification people and a caseworker. Our house was sold and I called to find out why they did and was told bc we failed to get all the paperwork in on time. Which was a bunch of crap, and I asked them why they didnt call us to let us know we didnt have all the paperwork in and they told me that it wasnt their responsibility to call us and we should of known. Like we can read their minds. The end result, it cost me my marriage, and I have no place to live all bc of Chase. Is there any class action suits going on in the state of Kansas, I would love to file against Chase, and was told by lawyers that there isnt anything they can do to help me. And I know thats a bunch of crap as well. Please, please help me. I’m divorced and need help.

all us people in Indiana that has been shafted by chase, we need to get together and start a class A. let me know!

  • Annie October 10, 2011, 1:47 pm

I would like to participate in the suit as well.
    Here is my story…
We purchased our home in 2005, at the peak of the South Florida real estate boom.
Six months later I lost my high paying job. Less than a year later my husband lost his job forcing us to supply our lack of income with our savings.
Fast forward to September of 2010, with our savings running out and my husband unable to find a decent paying job (temping at barely above minimum wage) we reach out to Chase for help. We were told that since we were still making payments they were unable to help us. So we asked them if they would help us if we stop making payments and their reply was that then we would be in default and they would foreclose. No mention of any programs was made to us.
January 2011 – savings are dried out, we have made our last mortgage payment and are now leaving paycheck to paycheck, which scares the living s%$t out of us!
I want to point out that our credit scores were well above 700, close to mid-700s at this time.
The calls from Chase start fast and furious and insulting as well! One representative going as far as telling my husband to “get a job bum or I’ll come and take your home!”
We finally get to speak with a decent Chase rep (tongue in cheek) that gets us on the road to a million forms. Takes us about six months of back and forth with forms, faxing, FedEx, faxing, signing, gathering, more signing, more FedEx etc. Chase agrees to lower our payments by $1,000 per month, something that we can live with and buy groceries. About two weeks ago I contacted our Chase rep because I had some questions and was informed that they had not received the final original application so once again we run to FedEx to send it. We then receive a letter saying that we refused the loan mod and the only option we have now is short sale or foreclose. I call the rep again and she informs me that the application was rejected because Chase did not receive our paperwork on time. We have FedEx proof that the documents were received and signed for by a Chase employee. Then last Friday we received a letter from Chase informing us that we did not qualify for the loan mod because the loan with Chase is not a first lien. We have only one loan on our home and it is the one with Chase.
Just this morning I called our contact at Chase and was told that we now need to re-start the loan modification application process all over again. I also asked her if we should continue to make the trial payments amounts and was informed that Chase will need the full amount…well HELLO!!!! Don’t you think that if we could make the full payment amount we would NOT be having this conversation??????
We are very frustrated and at the end our rope and don’t know what to do at this point. Our home is worth less than half of what we owe. We are not bums but hard working Americans affected by the crappy economy. Between my husband and I we have purchased and sold over 10 primary homes during our lifetimes, always making mortgage payments on time all the time and are not looking for a “money making” opportunity just some help.

Thanks for reading my post and good luck to all.
    Discouraged in South Florida

Me and my husband have been fighting chase for 3 years. 3 years ago THEY messed up our excrow, and when they found the problem they would not fix it. we fought it and was transferred to several different people no one knew what the other one was doing. Nothing is documented so we would have to explain the same thing every month and get the same answer. We were told to fax information in ..at which they seem to never recieve. We have done this about 12 times . Even our attorney has done it and still they never get it. I dont understand how this can keep going on. Its like they want to forclose on as many homes as they can. They must get a tax break on it. But it is rediculous , we are going to lose our home at chase’s fault. Someone needs to step up to the plate and help all of us.

  • Janet Wagner October 11, 2011, 5:54 pm

and after reading everybodies comments.. I feel that we are going to lose our home. Im going to stop making pmts and look for a place to rent. Thanks Chase for messing up our lives.

  • Annie October 12, 2011, 9:26 pm

    Janet
Keep in mind that your credit will be seriously affected by late/non-payments. So I suggest that you have something lined up within 30 days.
Chase reported to the credit bureaus that our home was in foreclosure within 30 day of our first late payment.
I also found that most rental companies will deny you when you have a mar like default on your mortgage. Some private owner will consider with a hefty upfront payment.
    Good luck!

We got a modfication and 10 mos later Chase loan program said, we missed a payment which wasn’t true. We payed from may thru Nov and we were paying 992 monthly then we got our next payment and it when up to 1462 monthly and that was not the agreement. We were to start paying 992 each month. I call remodfication and then gave me alot of bull and then in 2010 a woman came to our door and told me we had 20 days to get out that my home was up for public action. 20 days later me and my wife and kids were homeless. I did everything they wanted but all I got was chase modification personel calling me all kinds of terrible name and hanging up on me. I hope Chase and all it’s fat CEOs go to jail for the the liar loans which I was one of them

Chase Bank offered my wife and I reduced payments from $1,260.00 per month to $796.00 while they worked on modifying our loan. Weeks, then months went buy and we started getting DEFAULT notices! We telephoned and each time “dozens” over the next year,…we were assured by customer service at Chase the loan would go through, to ignore the computer generated default notices so we ignorantly trusted Chase. Now we were in default $14,000.00 and we were finally told after submitting the same documents over and over we DID NOT qualify! Their attorneys started foreclosure on our home and it cost us $4,500.00 to file a chapter 13 and STOP Chase’s foreclosure! They are CROOKS at best!

    • ADT October 29, 2011, 10:30 pm

Hi Timothy…my family filed a chapter 7 and now they want to work with us…You are right they are CROOKS!!! They need to be stopped

Anyone in Louisiana victims of Chase Home Finance and the same preditory/illegal servicing of their loan and admin of the Affordable Home Program? I was ripped off, too. My mortgage ended up $200 more a month after they flagged my account for trial mod. against my wishes. Wouldn’t apply my payments until they finally foreclosed 9 months later. I reinstated the loan the next day (luckily, Dad died and left exactly the amount needed in life insurance). I would like to be a party to a class action in Louisiana if we can find at least 10 others who have suffered the same thing.

My family has been dealing with Chase and trying to obtain a loan modification for the past two years. They set us up on a trial payment and we paid them from April 2009 – February 2010..All the whole time trying to get updates on the loan modification and they kept saying that the paper work was being processed. In April 2010 we were served with papers from a lawyers office. We called Chase and they told us that our loan modification was denied back in December and they sent us paper work. No paperwork was ever sent to our house. They could never tell us what the money went to that we sent during the trial period. We did another loan modification to find out that we were denied again no paperwork sent. Here it is almost two years later and we still cannot resolve this issue. If someone has started a class action against Chase please let me know as I would love to join.

  • Stacey November 2, 2011, 9:01 pm

We got the same run around from Chase and it all started approximately 2008-2009. They said they would only work with us if we could come up w/$5000.00. We tried telling them if we could come up with that we wouldn’t be losing our home and then they sold our home illegally without paying the 2nd mortgage off on it. I hope there is a class action lawsuit against them here in Michigan. They took our house so fast our heads were spinning and there was no help anywhere. Chase Bank SUCKS!!!!!

  • Joanne November 3, 2011, 4:08 am

After trying to get a modification for 2 1/2 years with chase they finally came to the conclusion that I could get a trail modification. So they said $1000,00 a month for 3 months. On attemots to pay they said it had to be a bank check. I had never had a check bounce i couldn’t believe the hoops I had to go through just to send the first payment. The customer service person was rude to me. So After consideration that they were only saving me 500 dollars I said forget it. I had a 15 year mortgage. just lower the intrest and give me a 30 and it would have been less than that. Long story short. It took them so long and I ended up owing so much in intrest and legal fees. Still in a forclosure pending sate. I recently contacted them again. Asked why do they make the trail payments so high only to think that In the end i would be sending them money i didn’t have. The customer service rep said ” WE DO THAT TO SEE IF YOUR GOOD PEOPLE” I COULDN’T BELIEVE MY EARS. Anyway, where do they get off. I alwasy paid my mortgage on time, was never late and paid extra. in 2007 I thought if I changed it to a 15 year and pay extra i could ppay it off sooner. Never expecting the economy to take a dive like this. Now I have exhausted all my savings and any funds I had. I would love to see JP Morgan Chase have to explain why they would drag their feet on these modifications and cause so many people extra stress and hardship. Not to mentio speaking so rudely to its customers.

  • izraul November 4, 2011, 5:41 am

As soon as chase knew they did not own the loans of the people applying for modification they strung them along. They never intended to modify these loans because for one, they can’t modify a loan they do not own and two, they did not purchase all of wamu’s assets and liabilities.

They are scum and criminals just like all the other banks. How they conduct their business is nothing less than illegal. It’s the banks that are the terrorists trying to destroy the american people and our court system is aiding and abetting in their scheme. The system that was designed to protect us is failing us and the people are the only ones who can stop this. Our courts can longer pretend they don’t see or know what is going on. Fraud upon the courts used to be taken seriously and now its an everyday practice with the banks. The law is supposed to leave wrongdoers where it finds them, not reward them.

What I find disturbing is the very basic of laws are being ignored. If I am not mistaken one of the basics of contract law is a contract first requires two or more parties, a meeting of the minds, and signatures by both parties. So how is it that banks can initiate a lawsuit or pursue a foreclosure based on a breach of contract when (1) the only signatures on mortgage loan docs are the borrowers. (2) they breach the contracts from the beginning. (3) Third parties (i.e. investors) who are not original parties to the contract have somehow enjoined themselves into the contract without a meeting of the minds and they receive benefits and protections that a borrower doesn’t even have from their own contract. Even in the existence of fraud, misrepresentation, deceit, and other criminal acts perpetrated by the banks, it is only the borrowers being held to the terms of the contract by the courts and it is the borrowers who assume all of the liabilities.

If your bank gave you unsigned “borrowers copies” of your loan documents than you do not have legal copies. Any other legal documents or contracts must be completed and signed to be considered legally binding and then you would receive copies, right?
If you and I enter into a contract and only you sign it, would I have the right to try and enforce it?

Intentional misrepresentation, deceit, false claims, misleading statements, material omissions, etc., which are relied upon is fraud and is unlawful. Losing ones home is an irreparable injury suffered as a result of these unfair practices and unlawful tactics which our laws and courts are supposed to protect us from. If our court system will not uphold the very basics of law to help and protect the people then the people have no use for them.

Well much of the same its been 2 years of run around. First started with my payments get there, they sit on them for 3 or 4 days as I sent them early enough.. nope some how got lost in their building.. next thing you know got A 125 dollar late fees and I tell them I am not paying as the post date on the envelope covers me.. well of course they don’t take the charges off and so keeps piling up, send in payments then snow balled. they tell me hey don’t make payments for 2 months and you can get into the loan modification plan which will lower you payments X amount of dollars and interest.. Should have known there is no free lunch.. So now we are into what you all have experienced.. the fine packet,, and depending on whom you talk to first it was EMC loan packet, then no we meant the chase packet.. then its we didn’t get them.. well I am taking notes as this time. I said well accourding to my fax report it was excepted by this number on the front of the modification form. Then its the same 6 times redo the forms, something must be wrong with our fax machine page 6 didn’t come through.. what ever dude. Okay now we get the first trial period because I read them my notes, faxed them my notes and recorded phone calls. So okay here we go with 3 month trial period.. 1st month send it in great.. 2nd month send it in call and yep we got .. 3rd month send it in.. waiting waiting. A week goes by I call them a bunch of times and phone tag.. the imfamous Raul from California my loan supervisor no where to be found. But I pester them and they get me to supposedly his boss. I said okay I spoke with your staff they got all my paperwork but somehow no check.. check was in the envelope just like the last 2 months. Oh well sir when it comes in the envelope is opened and checks go one way and paperwork another.. I said that may very well be however my certified letter says it got to you.. what you lost I can’t help.. Nope not having it.. we are going to have to forclose. argued with everyone in the building the next couple months. Finally they said because you seem to have us by the short hairs, we are going to do what… what what… Yes could you fill out the loan modification forms again.. SERIOUSLY.. You have 8 or 9 of them now.. take your pick .. So once again with the modification runaroound a coulple times. Hey we are going to do the trial period over .. GreAt lets go. 1st month, 2nd month.. 3rd month and a call every day looking for that bad boy.. TaDaa a few weeks later they send me a loan modification program .
Because they are feeling good they are only charge me 28,000 dollars and are going to make me pay 1610 for my remaining 23 years.. swell lets go.. but what is this I read on next page.. after that intial 23 years you then will start paying on the amount that was forgiven or what ever have a balloon of 155 grand.. WTH.. yeah you now after the first 23 years will pay 1210 dollars for another 23 years.. I drop the letter and bold for the bathroom.. I had to look .. really is Dumb ass stamped on my forhead. So I make the call and go over the paper work.. and she is like saying we really want to work with you so we got you this great deal.. of course by now we are done being somewhat nice.. I asked what size jar of KY-Jelly am I getting for take this so far up the keester.. So in the mean time now you take a look at your credit and its in the shitter.. because of the last 2 1/2 years of this ABUSE… I told them sorry pal that isnt going to happen. I wrote them a letter explaining this as well. Told them fine lets do a short sale, Deed in Lieu.. haven;t heard a thing. 3 weeks later today. I open up a letter from Chase,, now apparently its chases turn on the screw the pony ride. Get this I have a letter informing me that you paid to much and now your escorw has 2681.00 over after we just paid this years stuff.. I looked at the wife and went HUH.. if wer were so far behind, late fees, and what added to the loan how in the H do you have 2681.00 extra laying around.. So reading all these bogus stories and run arounds that chase/EMC have done.. what has to be done to get a class action suit. Does it have to be a state one or being its a federal plan why not a national wide one. And I am not just talking about my house its about my credit that this has destroyed , and who knows how many hours of frustration, failed marriages, or bankruptcy’s.
I am not a Occuppier or any other party person.. I am just a hard working indivdual who is at the end of his rope with what this has done to mine and I can tell by reading countless other people.. TO H with Fannie and Freddie they are taking care of their buddies loans. No most of what I have read are from middle income class people who can and do pay their bills until some clerk tells you hey do this and you can get a loan modification.. Where do we start with the class action .. where

  • Jason Jarvis November 20, 2011, 5:06 pm

Here is a copy of a letter sent to chase through a lawyer. I have done everything possible and have tried to modify our mortgage for three years. We were recently sent a notice of intent to foreclose. Since then we filed chapter seven and sought out legal help. I have since stopped paying my mortgage and will not send them another red cent until we sit down in a court room.Three years!!!!!!!!!!!!! We payed on a trial payment plan for two years was supposed to be three months.
    November 20, 2011

    To whom it may concern,,

My name is Jason Jarvis, I am married to Kelly with two children, I would like you to get an idea of what Chase Bank has done to us. We have made poor choices in life as everyone has, however , one choice was to refinance with a mortgage broker and Chase Bank. This has turned out to be the worst choice of our life. I do feel however that we were preyed upon by these agents and were duped into this loan. I feel that the agents gave us a sub prime loan and used their own appraisal company to make sure we received the loan . If I am not mistaken this practice is and was illegal. Due to our own inability to see through this scam we signed on the dotted line believing everything was good. We have since fell on hard times and subsequently managed to work our way out of a tough financial burden. During the struggle Chase bank managed to run us around to the point of emotional breakdown and put undo stress on my entire family. I feel that Chase bank and its employees intentionally make it impossible to modify a loan so they can take the home and make another profit. I think that their policy is to push people around to different parts of the special lending unit until you have a mental breakdown. This worked well and caused such mental anguish that I was on the verge of suicide. I have since realized that no bank or their agents are worth more than my life. I am requesting a transcript of all recorded conversations, and written correspondence between chase, myself, and its representatives concerning our loan. I feel that something illicit was done here and I feel we have been victimized by this agency. I would also like to see all correspondence and recordings concerning this loan and the executive resolution group.

    Sincerely,
    Signature

HATE CHASE!!! Would like to do a class action suit in Florida!!

    • Patricia December 27, 2011, 12:49 am

I with you Vivianne. For 2 years we have been trying to get into the Home Modification program. Chase has been giving us the run around and we finally got tired of it and contacted our congressman. Chase finally approved us for this program but it was short lived. Instead of our payments going down, they went up. Chase said it was due to being behind in our payments but never once did they tell us that. In fact, Chase told us not to send in half payments each month but wait until we have the full payments. We are going to lose our home unless a miracle takes place. Chase needs to be held accountable for misrepresenting and misleading their customers. We were told that our payments would literally be cut in half and that our interest rate would be around 2%. It was all a lied and I believe that Chase had no attention in making good on that.

  • KKR December 15, 2011, 4:09 pm

WOW!!!!!I have been having the same trouble with chase for 2/12 years now,I am in Georgia when NACA came to GA I went to them they sent my paper work out to Chase ,Chase would not response back to them,I tried the trial payment did that sent all the paper work in denied,I have been trying to modify my loan every other week they wanted me to send something in I did it always expired, sent in new paper work ,tired a short sale did not work,I really tired to save my home Chase did not help me now my home was foreclosed on Dec 6,2011 and they still do not want to talk to me about anything telling me to get an attorney and have my attorney call them.CHASE is FULL of ..IT!!!!and they know it if a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT is going on I AM IN!!!!!

  • Martha December 22, 2011, 8:49 am

Same problem in Kansas. I have been trying to get a modification since 3/2010. Its always something. More paperwork and now apply for the unemployment program. And of course now they won’t take my money. I receive nothing no status updates, NOTHING. I am really consdering bankruptcy at this point. I would love to have an attorney file a Class Action in Kansas

  • Patricia December 27, 2011, 1:08 am

I live in Florida and after 2 years of doing everything that Chase asked of us, and still no resolution, I finally got a hold of our congressman. Chase finally approved us but it was short lived. Instead of our payments being lowered, our payments went up. We got a hold of Chase and they told us it is due that we are behind in our payments. I told them that in the 2 years that we have been applying for the modification program and waiting for an answer, they never once mention that this would effect our payments. In fact, we were sending in half payments each month and were told not too but instead wait till we have the full payment and then send it in. Chase has mislead and misrepresent the Home Modification Program in every way. The only option that Chase has given us if we don’t accept their terms is either do a short sale or hand the house over to them.
I also found out that the short sale is a lie. No realitor wants to do a short sale because they don’t go thru. Something has to be done. We are going to fight to save our home. What do we have to do to start a class action suit here in Florida?

  • Jamie December 28, 2011, 11:36 am

Chase Home finance should of been shut down, these people tried, to confuse people with paper work that have legal consequences, and with out an ability to pay for legal servers, to fight these fraud bastards.
After busting my ass with like four or five phone calls a day for a month, we finally got the modification which reduced our payment from $706.00 to $422.22 We had paid this for 17 month and this was to be done in a 3 month period. We stopped paying because Chase Home finance didn’t not meet their fiduciary responsibilities. J.P. Morgan Chase had destroyed the economy so badly that I could not get work get work, as I worked for myself. my customers disappeared one by one. Not only that they purposely would tell you that you had a document missing, and that is why you had to fill out paper work over and over, J.P. Morgan Chase made their own mess by swamping themselves with unnecessary paper work , so that they could clam to the government that they were overwhelmed. This was only a smoke screen as we can see today with J.P. Morgan Chase moving accounts to a servicer like IBM Lender Business Processing Services, calling them their lost mitigation department. IBM Lender Business Processing Services only sent me one that’s it, 1 payment slip with regard to the account I had to make a print them myself to make sure that the payments were counted. They also told me that I had to send a money order even though there was no problem with my checks.
Jamie Dimon should be jailed. Not only that he’s screwing up a good name…fricking moron…

  • Jamie December 28, 2011, 11:39 am

We did get a principle reduction that wasn’t at market price, and it was never finalized. Sounds like that same story for lots of people on the net.

How do you sign up for this class action?

  • G. Thomas December 28, 2011, 4:17 pm

Same thing happen to me. All I asked for was a fixed rate and a lower interest rate. They set me up on a trail modification (reduced amount), I made every required payment on time and then they put my home of 15 years into forclosure. Chase said I did not qualify without any reason. This went on for approx. 1 year Is there a class action suit in Illinois?

  • atom December 28, 2011, 10:35 pm

we could vote them all out. Taxation with out representation. peace

I applied for a loan modification with Chase. Same deal, kept faxing the same docs two times. Fell behind in mortgage only $3,690.00. I was denied. Reason: “Investor or group of investors that has not approved a modification under these programs and/or state law restricts the modification of your mortgage”. My question is, is this legal for them to deny me under the above phrase. I have held my property for 13 years. After the loan modification denial, I received documents informing me that I could do a short sale or might be eligible for a deed in lieu. I sent the documents back and told them I was insulted that the only thing they offered me was a way to leave my property or go into foreclosure. I had no intention of going into foreclosure. I was angry that they were not willing to help me with such a “small amount” in arrears. I sent in a mortgage payment for $746.00, the amount of my monthly mortgage. It was “kicked back” to my checking account. They did not accept it. I called about 3 times, and finally got someone on the phone. I asked if they could work out a repayment plan with me to catch up. They said that I would have to come up with $2,000 in order to start a plan. I told them I had $1,000 and could start with that. They said that the rules required me to come up with $2,000 to start a plan. I could not come up with $2,000. They suggested that I call back in January after I have saved the money and see if I could do it then. Needless to say, I feel that Chase is not in the business of helping anyone keep their home. Their intention is to help you go into foreclosure. Weren’t these one of the banks that was bailed out. I am working, just earning less than I was before I was laid off.

  • Denise Robinson December 30, 2011, 11:03 am

I think a class action should be initiated against JPMorgan Chase and I would be a willing plaintiff. They are not in the business of helping homeowners. See my comments above.

  • Susan Castillo December 30, 2011, 4:46 pm

I would love to join in on a class action lawsuit. It was about four years of Chase nightmares with bad correspondence via their agents, underwriters etc. Directed to do trial payments, do not do trial payments…send documents…you did not need to send documents….send some more documents…..lost documents….lost fedex documents never received to me….documents with the incorrect loan number sent to me…starting the madness over and over again. They finally completed my modification about six months ago….I went from a loan at $93,500 to now owing $136,500. My monthly mortgage payment was $743.00 it is now $991.00. I am not quite sure how this is suppose to help me. Am I stuck in the twilight zone? This is not want I opted for at all and to my understanding this is “NOT” the legal definition of a modification which would put Chase at fault. I feel it was there employees lack of expertise and knowledge which caused chaos for everyone….one thing it is nice to see I am not the only one having the same problem.

  • Mike & Joanne December 31, 2011, 8:54 pm

My husband & I were only 1 mnth behind due to a major car accident. We went to our mrtge company EMC asking for help to just get the one month adjusted to the back end of our mrtg. EMC told us that they would put us on a forbearance plan. This was Sept 2010, we recvd a letter telling us to not make any mrtg pymts till Dec 2010. EMC mailed the paperwork to us and we reviewed the docs, signed & sent it back via Fedex. We had a 6 mnth trial which we made all pymts on time , also the pymt was only reduced by $50 / month. After the 6 months we called and was told we needed to do the HAMP application, they sent us the docs, filled them out, sent them back, and continued to make the same loan pymts. We called our so called rep and was told we were missing docs, needed new bank stmts etc. We sent in everything they said what was missing. We kept calling each month to find out the status, never reaching our rep, but always someone else. They would say that it was in the under writers hands. This was told to us for 6 – 7 months. Then we were told the docs needed to be updated because they had expired, so we sent in updated docs, like pay stubs & bank stmts. We are still making the modified monthly payment on time. We continued to call to find out the status of our modification and still was told it was in the underwriters hands. During this time frame Chase took over our mortgage and we kept calling and got no response. We decided to try communicating through Chase’s website via email to find out the status, we revcd a letter from Chase not to long after sending the email telling us we were denied the modification because we made to much money and was 6 months delinquent on our mortgage. We called Chase several times after this letter to find out how we became 6 mnths behind when we had been making our monthly payments and started in the beginning of this process at being only 30 days behind. It was also suggested by one rep that we discontinue our health insurance from my husbands work in order to keep our home. How dare they make such a suggestion when we have two young children in school and athletic. This whole process in our opinion is a classic bait & switch routine to further hurt the middle class who works so hard to keep their American dreams alive so even their children will be able to have something to look forward to in their time. The banks have all the tarp money and now they will get all the properties because they will not work with the people under this agenda. So what can we do to get a class action suit done not only in FL but it looks like across our great country.

  • Maria Fernandez January 2, 2012, 1:56 pm

I’ve been trying to get a modification throught the making homes affordable program with Chase for two very frustrating years. I’ve had the same experiences as the others: long waits, being transferred from one employee to another, the right hand not knowing what the left one is doing, waiting until documents expire and then asking me to resubmit paperwork multiple times. The most frustrating was last year when they said I was approved by Freddie Mac for a modification and then never sent documents to finalize it. I just found out Chase finally denied my request. I don’t know where to go now or what to do. Can anybody help? Maria

-I would like to know what now Chase bank is up to as far as my case?
-I’d like to to know if you can get me involved any consumer lawsuits against the whole mass forclosures process?
-Is Chase or EMC part of any mass consumer lawsuits I can be part of?
-Was my loan part of the illegal signatures on bank documents?
-Whatever happened to the HAMP program that they (EMC) falsley told me I could be part of and then told me my sponsor was never part of the program and I was not entitled to a fixed to mortgage after I had paid for so many months the amount they told me I was to pay as part of the HAMP program.
-What about the multiple times the EMC pretended to lose my paperwork each time I would send in my paperwork , then informed me that I was not eligible for a fixed loan because of my “not sending in requested docs”
Please let me know whats going on with my case.
      Thank you,

      • Eugene January 14, 2012, 7:46 am

The reason they tell people they are not recieving the paperwork or it has been lost is to try to get you past the 12 month so you have to pay back the amount past that to get it to go through then they delay it more to put you back in the same situation so the best thing to do is to claim chapter13 in which the court tells them to resume the payments and repay so much a month more to pay back the difference .I to would like to find a lawsuite againgst them they are goverment backed criminals.

The same thing that chase has done to everyone else is happening to me to for the past three years in Kentucky . I got a lawyer over a year ago to get the modifacation to go through letting them send the papers in for me ,and now chase said the loan can only be approved for people that are only 12 month and under delinquent so they are trying to forclose again so it is a no win situation for anyone .The goverment gave them tax payer money to screw the tax payer.

    • James Smith January 17, 2012, 3:34 pm

We went through the same thing in the Southern District of Texas. It is a no win unfortunitly. My advice is to stop with the modification process as it is not going to happen. The only thing that you are doing is getting behind on your payments. The first thing they will tell you when you get turned down is how ever many months that you where paying a reduced payment, is that they have not seen a payment in that time. This will put you into Forclosure, and for us, a quick sell of 6 weeks.
It’s sad. We had EMC for the servicer that made contact with us to let us know of the programs that are availible from the White House. They assured us that we would qualify, but could not show me anything in writing on what would happen if you did not qualify. So much for trusting one of the big Banks…

I am in foreclosure by Chase Bank and I used my GI Bill for the loan and Chase had me doing the loan modification paper work over and over again the same papers to the point I just gave up knowing chase had NO intention of ever loaning out any of the 25 billion tax dollars they were given to make loan modification. I would like to get my name on the class action suite!!!

I have been dealing with Chase Home Finance for two years now trying to help my mother who became ill and was not able to work to have her loan modified. She has now passed away and I am left to pick up the pieces and save her home. I live there now. I have faxed over all the necessary documents on many occasions with no recourse. First they say I am not authorized to speak on her loan, so I fax letter of administration from the courts and they claim they never received it. I know they are giving me the run-a-round!! I am at my wits end and now have a sale date in the not so distant future. Any advice on how to proceed? I just cannot understand why they would not help someone in keeping their home, they rather have it sit empty and possibly being vandalized. Unconceivable!!!

    • John P. Aldro June 5, 2012, 10:08 pm

EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THIS! CHASE BANK THEIVES!
They are stealing my homes and business and other properties and no one seems to be able to help me get a consolidation loan or anything for 3 years now! They say they are loaning money but they are not. I’m told Chase put me in this situation and Chase is the only one to get me out and this isn’t fair. They will not help me out as I have already tried that route. There are no routes for people vitimized by Chase or any other bank. There are no loan programs for self-employed people like all these other banks claim. I have two Federal lawyers working on my behalf but this is expensive and exceedingly slow. I will lose everything by the time this comes to court by what Chase has falsely reported about my “modification.”
Chase should be dissolved and everyone lose their jobs. Their loan modification scam here in TN has resulted in ruining my credit, personal and business, and my having to lay off all of my employees!
I was scammed, literally, was told I qualified for a modification when all I wanted to do was refinance. They made it sound like a normal loan telling me I qualified when I indeed did NOT!!! I had never missed a house payment or had even ever been late!! They lied to me and proceeded to enforce he qualifications by refusing to accept payments!! For a YEAR!! They promised a maximum 2 month closing. Had they told me it would affect my credit I never would have gone with them. Trickery and deceit. I started with 780, now down to 578!!!! (highest score) No one in their right mind would do this willingly or knowingly.
This letter is urgent and it is imperative and needs to be acted upon immediately. Due to Chase Home Finance and their loan modification scam my credit has been ruined and I am now unable to obtain a loan. I had put $50,000 down as downpayment on a house for my mother thinking I could secure a loan. For over a year I have been having to pay to try to have Chase bank remove these false items from my report, but they continue to lie and refuse to rectify the situation. Now the homeowner has hired an attorney at my expense thinking that I am not trying to secure a loan when I have tried continuously for a year. Now I have only 30 days to secure a loan and under his conditions I will be losing a lot of money if I can’t secure a loan. Chase Bank is the cause, and now I am having the series of negative effects. I need a small business loan. I cannot obtain one. We are federally registered but we need a small business loan for advertising and due to Chase Bank’s negligence I am in danger of losing my business, my home, a home for my mother and taxes I need to pay for an apartment that I own out of the country.
I don’t think this is America when you have to give up everything you have worked so hard for and start selling it just to try to live because you can’t obtain a loan. I have assets I can use for collateral but even the hard lenders will not touch me because of what Chase has falsely put on my credit report. I had just 10 days to report to this lawyer regarding this home purchase loan. I am pleading with him in a letter to allow more time but unfortunately I will not be able to get more time.
I have written many letters to many different agencies with no assistance or any positive results because they all say to contact each other and no one knows how to handle this situation. The Comptroller of the Currently, Consumer Affairs departments, my Senators, Governor, President, and anyone who would listen but there is no one who even cares if this can be fixed.
Now you are the only one I know who has the power to help me up against a lying National Bank. I put all my faith into you when I first helped to elect you and I still have faith. I have been trying to make this as public as possible.
I only have one day left to obtain a loan and am still hoping and praying that something can be done before I lose everything, my business, my home, my mother’s house and my apartment in Brussels.
I hope you get this letter in time. You are my last ray of hope to save everything from financial devastation and loss of a business.
