Class Action Settlement Agreement Reached In Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against EarthLink Over Early Termination Fees (ETFs)
EarthLink will pay $3.7 million to settle a class action lawsuit against it (Eaves v. EarthLink, No. 05-CV-97274) reportedly alleging that EarthLink improperly charged early termination fees ETFs against its customers, according to a class action settlement news report.
The EarthLink early termination fee ETF class action settlement reportedly provides that EarthLink will lower its current ETF fees, refund half of the ETF fees to as many as 850,000 potential class members, and to stop collecting outstanding ETF fees or report customers who owe such fees to credit reporting bureaus, among other things.

i got a check on september 4 2010 for 85.00 bucks i paid 150.00 etf. whas up with that????
I just got a check on 9/4/10 for $75.00 and I paid $150.00. I agree with mz antonio sykes. Why is it so low and how come I got $10.00 less than he did! Explain that to me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
