Allcare Dental & Dentures Class Action Lawsuit Complaint

Allcare Dental & Dentures Patients File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Allcare Dental & Dentures.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Allcare Dental & Dentures (“Allcare Dental & Dentures” or “Allcare” or “Defendant”) in Ohio and New York alleging, among other things, that Allcare Dental & Dentures did not complete dental procedures for which certain dental patients had already paid before Allcare Dental & Dentures closed its stores in December, according to a Allcare Dental & Dentures class action lawsuit news report.

I`m from Indianapolis Indiana my wife and i paid all this to all care for dentures and never received them! It`s an OUTRAGE!

  • Deborah February 12, 2011, 8:20 am

I also paid for dentures and they were never made. I am looking for someone who will take my case. I do not have money to pay for am still paying for the finance they put me through and took. They financed plus billed insurence for what was financed for. This was fraud.I am being told by other dentist that they were not to bill my insurence until work was done but they did.I had to get dentures else where and have to pay that because insurence won’t cover now because of what they did.

I am from Plymouth Indiana. I too was screwed by this wonderful dental office. The removal of my teeth was horrific. I was not put to sleep and I would not numb like I should. The dentist told me several times to quit being a baby. He gave me so much of the numbing agent that I was shaking uncontrollably. The assistant told me later that she had never seen someone get that many shots. She also said that she was worried that I was going to go into a seizure throughout the whole process. I received my temporary dentures, which I still have to wear because I never received my permanent set. They don’t fit and are very uncomfortable to wear. to top off the traumatic experience of dealing with their practices, I now am dealing with the financial effects. I have dental insurance so all I had to pay was 25% of the denture cost. This had to be paid before they would even start the work. We received a bill several months later saying that we owed $503. We immediately contacted our insurance who informed us that it had been paid and that we had over paid our out of pocket costs by nearly $200. Today we received a letter in the mail stating that ALLCARE had taken a loan out from HSBC bank and used all of the patient accounts as collateral. Guess what! They defaulted on their loan and now we have been turned into a collection agency. We were double billed, we overpaid, the work was not completed, and now our credit is at risk. What is everyone else doing? I turned in a complaint to the Attorney General.

I too had the most horrific exp. and paid all up front and received nothing but a temp plate. I haven’t been to a dentist yet because I am to scared.

        • Terry Kosloski February 10, 2015, 2:24 pm

Patty, Hello, I too went into Allcare and had teeth removed and received my temp plate when I went back for my last visit to have my permanent plate put in it was closed. Like everyone else I was outraged. I had no insurance and no trust in dentist. Well a few weeks ago my son’s dog ate my darn temp plate, well I went in to another dentist yesterday; completely terrified; but in need of dentures; and left more devastated then I thought I could be!! Because Allcare removed teeth, I had a lot of swelling, (probably more then normal because of they way they were removed) and this is why we have to go back a few times so when swelling goes down, a new mold made for permanent denture.. Since the doors were locked I never got new one, My temp plate was too big I now have extra tissue all over and need major surgery to remove it before I even think about getting a denture.!!! please go in and get yourself checked.

They made my dentures, but they are a lousy fit & I have to pay the $$, but no where to get them adjusted or remade…Please help me

  • Amber April 1, 2011, 9:06 pm

I also was done wrong by this company. I paid more than $4000.00 to have my work done and they only pulled a few of my teeth. After doing so the metal that was in the partials they gave me started to rott out my other teeth and they began chipping away. I am in so much pain now and there is nothing I can do about it. I am a single mother of two trying to survive and now have to deal with all the pain of not even being able to eat, ot to metion being so embarassed by ow my teeth look that I won’t even smile or take pictures. I am in desperate need of figuring a way to get these people to pay me back for the work I paid for and never recieved. So if anyone know if there is anything being done I would greatly appreaciate it if they would get a hold of me by e-mail.

  • cindy April 6, 2011, 2:20 pm

I have also been dupped, it was the most awfull experience ever. All I ever wanted was a nice smile and to be pain fee. Now I have dentures too big for my mouth and bottom parital that never fit. I am miserable.

  • Heather Goad April 12, 2011, 8:36 am

I too was RAPED by ALLCARE. They did a piss poor job on my mouth which ended up costing me $2,700. I have a 1/2 of a front tooth that they were supposed to fix due to poor quality of work. I never recived my bottom partial and I had just paid them off one month before they closed. I am at a loss…i dont know what to do or who to turn to. I feel very violated by them. I want my money back so I can go elsewhere to have my teeth fixed.! Does anyone know what is oing on with the law suit? Or who I can even turn to???

  • gary w kistler April 20, 2011, 12:02 pm

I paid 2800.00 up front and my insurance paid allcare 1500.00. My teeth were never relined and do not fit. The kicker is they said I owed them 370.00 then 478.00 and when I called their main office no one could tell me what the amount was for. I have all my receipts, now they went bankrupt and the bank that lost their money for backing allcare sent me a letter which stated that my credit would be ruined if I did not pay vision financial corp out of new york the money. How can I pay money when I paid in full. I am 71 years old retired, with teeth I cannot use. I sent a letter to the ohio AG no response yet april 2011

    • Richard A Whitmore June 15, 2011, 12:45 pm

In the spring of 2007 I had 7 abscessed, I went to Allcare in Lafayette Indiana, it took three months before they scheduled my removals, they gave me a crappy temporary upper denture plate with a wire that caused damage to another tooth causing it to need removal… I was fitted for my final time nine months later when they finally cleaned my teeth… never received my plate and my low interest health care loan has become a black hole.. have paid the original loan amount and they say the same amount is still due… what do I do to be included in the Indiana class action suit, and who should I contact to file a malpractice suit…

  • Margaret Yannucci May 17, 2011, 2:45 pm

I also paid for my upper and lower dentures and one relining. The dentures never fit right and when I went back to have them relined the dentist told me to wait a few years because there was only one relining included. Then they went out of business so I paid for ill-fitting dentures and a relining I never got!!!

  • Doyle McCauley May 31, 2011, 12:04 pm

Had four upper front teeth fitted for crowns. They started falling off, and went back to Allcare in Mishawaka,Indiana to refit. They glued again. Fell of again. Went back and the DDS that did the work was let go. A new DDS looked at the job and said con not do. The teeth were taken down to far and no crown will stay on. Now the battle was own. A year later they took care of one tooth. Now working on the other ones when they went out. Now I am stuck I guess. On top of it Bank of America took there records and sent me a bill. What, I say they owe me. I talked to BoA and they said they have nothing to do with with what they should have done or not done. Then I say what you have as I owe is not right. Show me the record and I have written records plus a DDS that worked there to verify my side. Suite sign me up for they owe me $$$$$$$.

    • Randy Meetze August 21, 2011, 7:52 pm

Doyle,Please let me know as to what you find out.I need help against All Care too. Thanks,Randy Meetze

  • Tamara June 7, 2011, 10:52 am

I am with all of you. I think there should be some way for resitution. I paid almost 9000.00. After the first root canal, I began having pain and infection. Was put on Antibiotics several time. Went ahead and let them do two bridges. Tried to cancel the rest of my contract for 6 months, and was always given the run around. Then they closed! Found out that they only canaled one of my roots and I had infection for 18 months. So severe that they had to do a costly bone graft and the bridges were so poor they had to remove them, so I lost 9000.00 plus I am paying almost 20,000.00 for all the repair work. I even contacted the owner of AllCare…yes, I found his cell phone number…and all he could say is I am sorry, but I have no money for you!!! I am sure he is still tucked away in his cushy home in NY. Actually tried to play on my sympathies and wanted to tell me about his medical problems!!! I hope this lawsuit brings us a partial refund, but I think it is about hopeless

  • Theresa A. Farr June 17, 2011, 8:56 pm

I went to AllCare and my dentures broke a month aftes getting them and when I went back to them, they were closed. How do in get in on the law suit?

  • Angela Ray June 20, 2011, 8:55 am

I too have been screwed by AllCare! Had no choice at the time but I wish the hell I never went to them! I only had $1500.00 to work with so I sat down with their financial adviser and he worked up a procedure and payment plan for me. I had to go with Care Credit for financing for the $1500.00. My tooth broke off under my bridge so they had to remove my old bridge and remove the tooth. When working on the tooth that needed a crown the idiot dentist didn’t numb it enough because he was too busy running his damn mouth so when he started drilling he hit the nerve and I screamed then he said “you can still feel that”! They had to make me another bridge which was god awful and uncomfortable because of a metal bar that held it in place and to add insult to injury it didn’t even fit! I had moved from the town I had this work done by AllCare and started having pain under the crown that they did so I had to go back to a Dentist which was really great and he said the crown they did was a waste of my money because the tooth had a cavity that they didn’t even treat before doing the crown! In fact he had to end up doing all the fillings and crown over again! I still have no bridge because I can’t afford it so I guess I’ll be chewing on the right side of my mouth the rest of my life. Come to find out AllCare charged me for extra crowns and put it on my Care Credit acct without my knowledge now they are suing me for $4200.00! I am so pissed off but I will continue to fight this because I am tired of being a victim! How do I become a part of this law suit?

  • Ashley Plummer June 29, 2011, 8:30 pm

I went thru the same misery as many of you. They gave me a shoddy, ill-fitting temporary and took my money. I went thru their financial program and was stuck paying thousands and didn’t receive what I paid for. I want in on a lawsuit too! I want my money back so I can get my teeth fixed correctly. Contact me please!

    • Randy Meetze August 21, 2011, 7:49 pm

Ashley, Please let me know if you have learned a good course of action as I am in a similar situation with All Care. thanks,Randy Meetze

  • JBN July 12, 2011, 8:42 am

I was a victim of Allcare fraud in Monroeville/Pittsburgh, PA. The got paid for services NOT rendered. I kept getting billed that were paid by my insurer. I inquired about them but never got a response from ALLCARE. I wanted m medical records sent to me but never received them. They went out of business and I will never get the service or the records or money back. I want to join the class action.

  • Cassandra Huff July 18, 2011, 3:10 pm

I want to join the class action for Allcare Dental. I paid for dentures I have never received. I was told to transfer to another site but when I called they were closed. I was also being billed by GE Money with what sould have been a no interest loan which turned out to be ove 20 % intereset. What do I do next?

    • Randy Meetze August 21, 2011, 7:47 pm

Cassandra ,Let me know as to how you are proceeding in the all -care matter please. Randy

  • Randy Meetze August 21, 2011, 7:42 pm

Well I have spent $6,100. and have had only my teeth pulled minus the 6 which are left on the bottom jaw .They are in place to receive a partial plate.I paid cash for the removal of teeth,a temporary set and then a 10 year warrentied set.I do understand, they are out of buisness now. What am I to do now? Please someone tell me whom to contact and/or which avenue to follow to re coup some of my money.I do realize they did pull the teeth for which they should receive a small percentage of the $6,100.I feel it would be only fair for me to get $4,500.I guess at least I did not finance them I am lucky as to no interest, however I did save 3 years and can’t afford to get dentures from another dentist. So any help with making me smile, again is appreciated.

  • Randy Meetze August 21, 2011, 7:44 pm

Attornies or anyone with a good attorney in this matter please contact me with ideas, comments,or recommendations in the matter.

    • Keith October 23, 2013, 1:58 pm

Write your own lawsuit for damages against the dentist who ripped you off. You will be very lucky if you are able to find an honest attorney who will nail the dentists hide to the out-house wall.

  • Linda Kay September 21, 2011, 8:00 am

I was also taken by Allcare. They did make my dentures but I am not happy with them as they are very thin and will probably break. I had insurance which they billed and then got one of their Medical Credit cards which I owe $1000. There should be some kind of protection. Now i have noone to fix and repair my dentures.

  • sara November 3, 2011, 1:19 pm

i went there for my teeth and they pulled teeth that didnt need to be pulled, gave my parshals that didnt fit and the ones they gave me cracked and broke my teeth around them and im outraged at this. i want my money back.

  • Brad Lewis November 29, 2011, 8:49 am

My wife and I were patients of Allcare back in 2008, I had quite a few of my teeth pulled, temporary partials put in, and was supposed to have ALOT of work done, as well as permanents put in (which I paid for up front {6500.00}), do you think I had all my work done? NOPE! When I went back in to get more done, the original dentist that looked at my mouth was no longer there, and the replacement wanted to change my dental plan, and charge an additional 4000.00!!! Now, they are filing bankruptcy?! I am outraged!!!

  • Dawn Rios December 12, 2011, 8:51 pm

I figured I was just out my $4000.00 plus so I haven’t done anything about this piece of crap dental place… But now I’m wondering if I can get my money back…I had to get dentures and I have a friend who is an oral surgeon so I had him pull my teeth for me….All care made my temp. dentures… Which by the way didn’t fit right!!!I can’t wear my bottom one’s because they make me look like bubba off of Forest Gump!!!! Well I went in and got my impressions for my real set and didn’t hear from them then I heard that they had closed down…What the heck!!!!I had even asked the financial guy if Allcare was a company that has been around for a while even though they were new in my area!!!!He assured me that they were and so I got the best plan that they had with a longer “warranty”…..So now I’m scared to go to another place cause I don’t want to get screwed over again and I had paid off my credit for it and don’t have the money to put out again for this!!!! I wonder if any of you who are still paying on credit cards for this can make a complaint with that company since you didn’t get the service you paid for??? I’ve read most of the stories on here and I feel bad for everyone…I hope there is something that will come out of this, because I think I only got about $600 worth of work done and they charged my insurance company too…So I would really like to get my money back from these people!!!!If anyone knows of a class action suit going on and you think it can help us all out please put it on here….Thanks for reading Dawn

  • Mary Constant December 13, 2011, 7:28 am

I to was screwed over by Allcare. They pulled my teeth in such a painful mannar, still 4 years later have so many bone chips I can barely eat. My dentures were supposed to be top on the line and never fit right and when I would complain to them they kept telling me to give it time, gums were just swollen. Funny since they were to big! I looked and talked like I had a mouthful of cotton. I finally had to go to another dentist after finding out they closed and that dentist told me the dentures were the very cheap and made extremely poorly. I then had to pay to have new ones made. So now Im still in alot of pain and being sued by their finance company for over $7000 which I refuse to pay due to Allcare’s horrible work and work not finished.

  • Brandon Adams January 30, 2012, 12:21 pm

I was a patient at AllCARE in Muncie, In. I paid 2500 in cash up front and put the remaining 4500 on a care credit card that they conned me into obtaining, They pulled my teeth and gave me my temporary and said i should wait 6-8 months to be fitted for my permanent , when i went back to do so they had completely different staff , right down to the secretary. They tried to make a mold for the permanents but it looked like giant horse teeth so advised them to change it, and the guy said the teeth i was wanting was not a “manly ” set of teeth that it would look feminine, then I noticed that this gentlemen had a set of horse chompers himself . I then advised I did not appreciate this from the tech and I needed someone who knew what they were doing to complete this task. The new manager at this time told me that the teeth i ordered with the “hi resin ” and the invisa line would cost me more money , I then had to have him find my original contract that stated I purchased the expensive ones because the previous manager advised me for men ,would be the best choice. so after getting that taken care of I went back to get my permanents and the cleanings I paid for and they were closed for business, so now I still have my temporaries that are terrible , I cant eat with them, I have to buy expensive glue to keep them in, and no one has my medical records to boot. So where do we sign up to get what is ours from these criminals of the dentist world?

  • Heather Goad February 2, 2012, 8:11 am

Please, Please someone help me figure this out! We ALL deserve our money back! What can we do? They RAPED us all! I need to get my teeth fixed and the $2700 they robbed me of would sure help to fix what they fucked up! I’m PISSED! FUCKING ASSHOLES!

    • Lori Kreiser February 8, 2012, 10:58 am

I wish we had a way to get them I see no help on the way I have struck out with lawyes I wish you the best If you get help let us all in on it Good Luck to everyone

  • Cindy Deal February 6, 2012, 10:44 am

They made my dentures wrong too, the bottom I have to run under warm to hot water to soften in order to put it in everyday, it gave me a very sore gum and it is infected and hurts alot! I am very disappointed! What can I do? I am suffering a great deal, as this is what I have to do according to what they said. Can I try to get at least or all my 3,000 back? I deserve it because of the faulty job they did to me!

  • Lori Kreiser February 8, 2012, 10:57 am

Hello I went to allcare for help and all they did was took my money and left me with no teeth I have went to lawyers a general and have got nothing out of this I told attorney general that they were doing wrong 2 yrs befor it happen andf they told me they need more complaints and wouldnt listen to what I was trying to tell them If they would have maybe some of you people would have been spared what happen to me . I ALSO LOSS MONEY,AND KNOW SERVICE NOW I AM CONCERN ABOUT MY MONEY

  • Brenda Dotson October 14, 2012, 10:07 pm

This just sickens me reading all of these complaints!! It is an enormous outrage, all the people paying up front for dental services it appears they never had any intentions of fullfilling, I also paid 4500.00 for Dentures I do not have, just ill fitting temporary garbage. I should’ve had mine done, but they drug it out with a root canal they also wanted me to pay an additional 400.00 for, this was after my prepayment and the estimate for what I needed, why should I give more when they already had that much of my money, so I was at a stand still w/o money and no further work or dentures made until they got more money. I am a housewife and my husband is retired, we don’t own a money tree!!! How do you people sleep at night ripping people off like you have done? And further more, if people scam, steal money….don’t they still go to jail???? We are all out thousands and what are we to do???? I can’t find any info on the lawsuit, I need that money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sophia Martin November 13, 2012, 6:48 pm

I have also had a bad experience with Care Credit. Many of the things you have said you experienced are similar to mine. The link to the Federal Trade Commission’s consumer complaint form is below. I urge everyone to take a look at it and if it is something you feel is appropriate, fill it out and submit it to the FTC. https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

No one is going to take care of us so we will have to do it for ourselves!

  • Susan Johnson March 11, 2013, 7:45 pm

I too have a BIG problem with ALLcare Credit. Its along story but basically I co-signed for my daughter for a card from them(GE money) to have dentures made. They cost about 7,000 some dollars . I paid what i could to help her out but Then Allcare filed bankruptcy and my daughter didn’t get all she was suppose to get… GE money kept after me and her and even after paying a couple of years, They said we owed like 100.00 less than when we started. then wrote it off. Then we get a letter from this JB Cambece Law firm (so they say) telling us we owe so much and HAVE to pay it. Why should we have to pay for something she didn’t get and as far as Allcare the warranty was suppose to be for 5 years which would be up this year 2013. I called the Attorney general in my state and they said to send a letter to the law firm and all the credit bureaus to say we were disputing it. So far i haven’t heard from anyone….

  • Crystal Shaffer August 10, 2013, 9:46 am

Paid in full and still no permanent dentures or my money back. The temporary dentures are too large and now I must pay to have the lesions cut from my mouth before I can even get permanent dentures. Very very unhappy and it seems nothing is being done to correct this.

  • Michael Felty October 21, 2013, 8:13 am

Almost 3 yrs now and still nothing, except a referral to another dentist who would give me 10 percent off his services to make the permanent dentures I already paid $3,600 for on top of the same amount to have all teeth pulled. I will not and cannot afford these and have had my temporary dentures for almost 3 years now. With mouth sores so bad I barely eat and use so much Fixodent I buy it in bulk. Ridiculous that companies can do this and takes our legal system years to figure anything out.

  • Tina Richardson November 13, 2013, 5:05 pm

I too suffered at the hands of Allcare!! I lived in a small town in Northwestern Indiana, and in 2006 I went to Allcare; they first wanted me to pay for everything even tho i told them i had dental insurance thru my husband’s employment; when they finally filed the insurance, they kept saying they never got paid even tho the insurance says they did; insurance finally stopped payment on the one that they said they didn’t get and issued another one; the dentures i got are way too big and they choke and gag me every time i put them in; not to get to graphic but here’s how the extractions went; I went in, got in the chair, they numbed my mouth; in came what i thought was a dentist; idk if he was or not!!! He reached in my mouth with one tool, the tooth obviously was a little stubborn, so he put that tool down, picked up some other tool, and literally ripped my teeth out; let me tell you, within 30 seconds, maybe a minute, all my top teeth were gone and my top plate was put in my mouth and then they filled my mouth with gauze; no stitches, no nothing; gave me Darvocet for the pain which didn’t help unless i took more than one; horrible experience with them. After all the pain and inconveniences i endured, they told me one day that i had overpaid, so i told them i wanted my refund; it took me two years to get 136 bucks!!! Kept saying something about it had to come from the home office, blah blah blah; i told them i didn’t pay the home office i paid them, when i threatened to get a lawyer on them they called me like 3 days later and said i could come get my refund….about a year after that i heard on the radio that they had been closed…i pulled the car over and screamed out in joy that they had finally closed so they couldn’t be putting innocent people through all this misery just to get a set of dentures…i just don’t know who to contact to find out if there has been a class action lawsuit filed in indiana and what i need to do to be added to this list of people on that lawsuit…i have been waiting a long time and i even have another dentist that told me they messed up the top of my mouth really bad; it ended up taking almost 3 years for my top gums to heal completely from the horror that they endured…any info on this lawsuit would be greatly appreciated!!!

  • Christine Reid December 16, 2013, 10:53 am

We too have been victims of Allcare Dental and their fraudulent practices. My husband and I paid $4,000.00 for our daughter who is a single mother with no insurance to have dental work done. Some work was done but was very painful and scared her so bad she didn’t want to go back!! She said she heard other people screaming and crying while she was there and witnessed some very disturbing practices!! She had two extractions and a few fillings but never finished getting all of the work done that she needed, and now has a front tooth that is rotting and causing her pain & embarrassment!! When she finally went back to see about getting her money back she was met with a sign on the door that they had closed. I understand that a class action lawsuit was filed 02-07-11 and would like to know if it is still in litigation. We live in Knoxville, Tn. which is also where the Allcare practice was located. Any news about the status of this lawsuit would be greatly appreciated.

Went to Allcare, was talked into the most costly program and had to pay $6,000 up front and then they messed up everything, couldn’t even wear the temps they gave me , went back 5 times to get a different guy each time and the last one the manger and the dr were fighting about how bad they made my teeth. They closed leaving me with a set of teeth I couldn’t use and out $6,000 from my savings. Ended up having to go to another dental company and they knew about Allcare and were very good to me, but I ended up paying again. I think Allcare should have to pay everyone back, I know I want some of my money back! Is this the way Indiana lets a business run here?

I’ve been waiting a very long time for this settlement when is it ever going to happen, I paid allcare dental $5000.00 for two office visits, seems to me the law is taking the side of this rip off artist thats taken a lot of Good peoples hard earned money and not giving a shit. Do something already for myself and the other people that allcare stole and swindled the money out of, its been years now I’m sure if they had ripped off any of the people taking care of this law suit they would’ve had this matter done with already its just makes me sick I worked hard for that $5000 they stole and nobody seems to give a SHIT !!!!!!!! What a Great world we live in today.

I was in the process of getting new dentures and just had the temporary plate in the bottom with a filler solution put in up front till it was ready to put the permanent ones in … Now I am left with that temporary one tears later and of course the filler has broke down over the years therefore the temp had cut into my gums and has left the skin sliced many times and have sores constantly . I believe it has cut nerves in my mouth, because my chin has numbness all the time
