Tyson Foods Class Action Settlement Preliminarily Approved

A class action settlement involving Tyson Foods has been preliminarily approved by a federal judge in Baltimore, Maryland, according to news reports.  The class action lawsuit reportedly accused Tyson Foods of falsely advertising that its chickens were raised without antibiotics.  Tyson Foods reportedly has agreed to pay up to $50 to class members who bought poultry that was labeled antibiotic-free, with the total payment to the class capped at $5 million.

I have bought tyson chicken for years and of course dont have reciepts from all those purchases but would like to know how do they find all the people that would qualify for this settlement?

They certainly are not paying every single person that was affected by this false advertising so what is the affect on Tyson to stop doing this in the future? The lawyers make the big cash here and there is no real restitution to the consumers that were lied to.

I love America our systems have been warped and changed to serve the wealthy and continue to harm the lower classes that are equally important to the American economic structure.

So how long can American big business send jobs over to China and India or Mexico sending Americans into unemployment as well as stripping the remaining workers of their pensions, pay and benefits while the upper management takes in tens of millions per year and adding to their retirements, stock holdings and continue to rape American workers?

The economy will never recover if Americans are unemployed not able to earn a living its not rocket science. Expect violent crime to rise as people are pushed to the brink trying to just keep their families alive.
