Class Action Settlement Agreement Reached In Class Action Lawsuit Against Sanofi-AventisOver Alleged Sex Discrimination

Sanofi-Aventis has agreed to pay $15.4 million to settle a class action lawsuit filed against the drug maker over alleged sex discrimination against its roughly 4,000 female U.S. sales representatives, according to a class action settlement news report.

The Sanofi-Aventis sex discrimination class action lawsuit complaint reportedly accused Sanofi-Aventis of underpaying and underpromoting female sales reps.  The Sanofi-Aventis class action settlement reportedly provides, among other things, that Sanofi-Aventis has agreed to give all female reps who make less than their male counterparts a raise, in addition to monetary benefits of over $2,000 per class member.
