If You Purchased a Clothes Dryer and Received Delivery and Hook-Up of that Dryer from a Lowe’s Store in the United States, Your Rights Could Be Affected By A Class Action Settlement.
A class action settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit pending against Lowe’s Home Centers, Inc. (“Lowe’s Home Center” or “Lowe’s” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina (styled Kaiser-Flores & Eckstein v. Lowe’s Home Centers, Inc., Civil Action Case Nos. 5:08-CV-00045 & 5:09-CV-00095) alleging, among other things, that Lowe’s sold clothes dryers and then delivered and hooked up those dryers using a foil or plastic transition duct, according to the Lowe’s Home Center clothes dryer duct class action settlement notice.
Lowe’s Home Center clothes dryer duct class action lawsuit settlement class members reportedly include the following persons, unless otherwise excluded:
All persons who purchased a clothes dryer from a Lowe’s store in the United States and received from Lowe’s delivery and hookup of that dryer with a foil or plastic transition duct.
The Lowe’s Home Center clothes dryer duct class action settlement reportedly provides that a settlement fund of $3.85 million will be created to pay up to $20 each to eligible settlement class members who timely (by December 18, 2010) submit valid settlement claim forms.
The Court is scheduled to hold a final settlement hearing on December 14, 2010, to consider whether to approve the Lowe’s class action settlement, and a request by Class Counsel for attorneys’ fees and for a payment of up $2,500 for each Class Representative plaintiff who helped the lawyers on behalf of the whole class.

The Maytag dryer hooked up with a foil-like substance was the worst dryer I ever owned. Don’t know if it was just the dryer or the hookup.

At The Home Depot they use UL listed semi-rigid dryer duct on installs. Got to get the good stuff.

type in bar payment receipt settlement and go to masters v. lowes home. there you will get your info.
I received my post card on April 2, 2011. How can I file a claim when the last date to file was December 2010? Like the rest of you, I have a pw and claim number but couldn’t find anything but the original lawsuit on line. I think it’s a scam because they have to post/notify when a class action case is underway. I am chalking it up to double talk, as usual. Good luck to those of you who have more patience than I.
