LifeHouse Holdings, LLC et al., Case No. RG 12660602) alleging, among other things, that LifeHouse failed to comply with certain nurse staffing requirements in California, according to the LifeHouse Resident Nurse Staffing class action settlement notice.
The LifeHouse Resident Nurse Staffing settlement class reportedly includes all persons who resided in one or more covered California Facilities between December 19, 2008 and November 1, 2013 (Resident Class Member) and all persons named as a beneficiary in a living trust or will of a deceased Resident Class Member, or certain surviving relatives of a deceased Resident Class Member (Successor Class Member).
Facilities covered by the LifeHouse Resident Nurse Staffing settlement include Bakersfield Healthcare Center, Castro Valley Healthcare Center, Cypress Healthcare Center, Maclay Healthcare Center, Parkview Healthcare Center, Riverside Healthcare Center, San Diego Healthcare Center, San Jose Healthcare Center and Vista Healthcare Center.
Pursuant to the LifeHouse Resident Nurse Staffing Class Action Lawsuit Settlement, LifeHouse will reportedly pay $4.4 million into a settlement fund to make cash payments to class members (current residents of the Facilities will reportedly receive cash payments without having to file a claim form; all other settlement class members are required to submit claim forms), to pay certain monitoring costs, to make a service payment to the class representative, to pay attorneys fees and expenses and to pay administration costs. LifeHouse is also reportedly subject to an injunction requiring, among other things, compliance with nurse staffing requirements.
