A class action settlement involving Jos. A. Bank Clothiers has received preliminary approval by a District Court Judge in Baltimore, Maryland and will be presented for final court approval at a class action fairness hearing set for July 8, according to a class action settlement news report.
According to reports, the proposed $4 million dollar Jos. A. Bank Clothiers class action settlement involves claims that plaintiffs lost tens of millions of dollars as a result of undisclosed excessive inventory levels of seasonal merchandise that when announced in June 2006 caused the Jos. A. Bank Clothiers stock price to fall by 29 percent.
