Have any class action lawsuits been conducted on Honda Motor company considering there high percentage of transmission failures in the Honda Odyssey line? Just wondering as I have purchased one of the lemons that has the transmission starting to go out.
    Thanks,
    Ryan

I have a 2004 Odyssey with a low speed shudder. Intermittent, no problem at speeds over 40 mph. Do I have a major repair Ahead of me?

my 2000 honda odyssey transmission failed 45 days after purchase (in 2006), and it cost me nearly $5000 to have it replaced. it has had minimal use (hockey mom stuff) since then and is superb condition except fro the fact that the darned thing went out again: chugs, now only goes in reverse (not solenoid), and EGR valve issues again. I drive gently and keep my vehicles in excellent maintenance condition and this is unacceptable. Honda says that it is not responsible: well, they have not been HELD responsible. It is time for a class action suit to recover our damages and inconvenience after trusting Honda. I also have a 1992 honda civic si that I have kept in top shape and upgraded every possible bolt on. It has occasional issues but nothing like the HO!

I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey that had transmission failure at 100,000 miles in July of 2011. I was basically laughed at by the dealership and quoted $4800 for a repair. I had the transmission rebuilt by a local shop for $3000 AND it repeated the same original failure in January 2012 AGAIN in May 2012 and it has started the symptoms of the original failure as of August 2, 2012. Four times it has been rebuilt and the shop is completely at a loss as to why it keeps failing. They get it back this week. The transmissions in these Odyssey van’s are faulty and can not reliably be repaired.

I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey with codes P0740 and P0730 at 115,00 miles. Problem started on 8/27/2012 after driving for about 10 minutes. Engine light is on and the TCS light is blinking on and off.
