Groupon Class Action Settlement Of Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Expiration Dates On Groupon Coupons.
An $8.5 million settlement has reportedly been reached in a class action lawsuit against Groupon, Inc. (“Groupon” or “Defendant”) in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California (styled In re: Groupon Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation, Class Action Case No. 11-md-02238), alleging, among other things, that Groupon, which runs the online coupon website www.groupon.com, violated the federal Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act, which prohibits the sale of gift cards that expire in fewer than five years, according to a Groupon class action settlement news report.
Under the Groupon class action settlement, consumers who got Groupon vouchers between November 2008 and December 1, 2011 will reportedly be able to redeem the coupons past the expiration date or receive a recovery from the Groupon class action settlement fund.

I agree totally! My two daughters and myself buy these Groupons since they seem like a deal;,But you have a limited amount of time to use them. We’ve had some that expired!!! That means they make money because we are under pressure to use them and it’s their win. They need to make longer expiration dates so it is a win win situation.
