Dannon Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Over Dannon’s Activia or DanActive Branded Products Receives Preliminary Approval
A proposed class action settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit over Dannon’s advertising for Activia® and DanActive® branded products and their benefits from “probiotic” bacteria, according to a class action settlement press release. The Dannon class action settlement was preliminarily approved by a federal judge in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
The Dannon class action lawsuit reportedly claims that the advertising was not true and Dannon stands by its advertising and denies it did anything wrong. Dannon class members who purchased Activia or DanActive could receive up to $100 out of a $35,000,000 class action settlement fund as part of the class action settlement. Before any money is paid, the Court will have a final hearing to decide whether to finally approve the Dannon class action settlement.
