The Mattel class action settlement has been given final court approval by U.S. District Court Judge Dale Fischer in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, according to a class action settlement news report.
The Mattel lead paint class action settlement reportedly involves an estimated 1.5 million class members who, among other things, purchased toys that were recalled in 2007 by Mattel or its subsidiary Fisher-Price Inc. due to excessive lead content.

I completed my claim over 6 months ago, how long is it supposed to take to receive a voucher or check or whatever?
I filed my claim as well back in April 2010 and have been getting nothing but the run-around. It took my wife and daughter more than 2 days to gather and box-up this $250 claim. Now all phone calls are being answered by smart ass represenatives from a “third party” who claim they have no control over the case and refuse give further contact information.
Mattel should be banned from operating in the US.
It has been a year since I spent a few days comparing exact model numbers for this recall and sent in a large box valued more than $300. This summer I contacted a representative and confirmed they received the box but no information on the status of my claim or a time frame for when we can receive compensation. I guess the lawyers my have their share and are in no hurry to distribute the funds to the claim holders. The settlement site does a poor job of communicating the current status of the case or distribution of funds.
received my voucher today, so did my mother! free toys!
I got a check for $21 and a voucher for $98. I went to spend the voucher at Walmart today and they wouldn’t take it!! Where are you suppose to use them??
