Wyndham & Choice Hotels Franchisees File Class Action Lawsuit Against Wyndham & Choice Hotels Over Hotel Guest Loyalty Program Fees.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against hotel franchise chains Wyndham Worldwide Inc. (“Wyndham”) and Choice Hotels International Inc. (“Choice Hotels”) (collectively “Defendants”) in the United States District Court in Orlando, Florida (styled Jade Hospitality LLC and Amar Shakti Enterprises LLC v. Wyndham Worldwide Inc. and Choice Hotels International Inc.) alleging, among other things, that Wyndham & Choice Hotels auto-enrolled guests who booked online into loyalty programs unless the guests opted out which allegedly resulted in the hotel franchisees paying loyalty program fees of up to 5 percent of gross room sales generated by the loyalty program, even though the guests may not have known that they were entltled to loyalty benefits and even though the guests may not have stayed at the hotel property because of the loyalty program, according to a Wyndham & Choice Hotels loyalty program class action lawsuit news report.
