Illinois RightChoice Customers File Class Action Lawsuit Against WellPoint Over RightChoice Takeover
A class action lawsuit was filed against WellPoint, RightChoice Insurance, RightChoice Managed Care and Unicare Health in Madison County, Illinois seeking damages for consumer fraud and deceptive business practices and restoration of insurance coverage for a putative class of Illinois residents who were allegedly covered by RightCHOICE health insurance before WellPoint’s takeover and were adversely affected by a shutdown of RightCHOICE’s Illinois operations, according to a class action news report.
