A class action lawsuit has been filed against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (“Wal-Mart Stores” or “Wal-Mart” or “Defendant”), in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division (styled Donald C. Thomas v. Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Civil Action Case No. 4:10-cv-00472), alleging, among other things, that Wal-Mart Stores charges Automatic Teller Machine (“ATM”) fees on electronic fund transfers at ATMS operated by Wal-Mart in Plano, Mansfield, Fort Worth, Houston, Pearland and Galveston Texas without posting notice that an ATM fee would be charged, purportedly in violation of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (“EFTA”), according to a class action lawsuit news report.
