PayPal Users File Class Action Lawsuit Against PayPal & eBay Over Holds On Funds.
A class action lawsuit was filed against PayPal, Inc. and eBay Inc. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, San Jose Division (styled Ronya Osman and Brian Pattee v. PayPal, Inc. and e-Bay, Inc., Case No. 10-cv-2046-PVT) challenging PayPal’s alleged practice of freezing or holding funds for up to 180 days in the accounts of entities and consumers that collect payments for product and service sales through the PayPal system without providing any explanation, according to a class action lawsuit news report.

PayPal Class Action Lawsuit Update:
Another class action lawsuit complaint was filed against PayPal in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (styled Moises Zepeda v. PayPal, Inc., Case No. 5:10-cv-02500-PVT) reportedly on behalf of all PayPal, Inc. account holders in the United States whose accounts were closed, suspended or limited during or after an investigation by PayPay, Inc. of the account holders’ activities.

How can we get in on this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??? They have $7,700 locked for 180 days!!!! Ridiculous!!!!
THEY HAVE BEEN HOLDING MY MONEY FRAUDULENTLY AND KNOWINGLY BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR OVER 3 YEARS! EITHER ATTORNEY’S ARE FOOLS; AND THERE IS NO WINNING.
Based on the 2 class actions statements, it seems clear that Paypal has all right to do what they do. In the end, of course they cannot keep the funds unless someone has CB or fines.
These attorneys will discover that they wasted not only their time, their customers’ time but their money as I would bet they will not get one penny out of how the suit is argued.
Problem problem its been going on for years why its not been resolved?
well every lawsuit filed against paypal has been settled out of court thats why.They just pay good money to the lawsuit filing company Lawyers get a good chunk out of it and they keep on rolling.LOL welcome to America.
How can it be resolved?
well the only way it will be resolved is if the company get investigated by the federal government which is unlikely “hurts the economy” i can go on for hours about this but no use really.
Paypal is currently holding funds and not even allowing me to quit their service. If they have an issue with my home address or whatever, isn’t that for my bank to deal with.afterall, I am sending it back to my account!
When I call their number, they want me to enter on my keyboard a number 1
well, I have to hang up in order to do that, they use voice recognition on the first level of responses, why can’t they continue? why?, cuz they don’t want to loosen up money they can use to make more money. If you want to start another suit, count me in. Jennifer
Paypal is also holding my money, i have shipped the items, and paypal just keeps the funds, they are not a bank, cannot wait to close my account and take my business else where, would be nice if paygay and egay were both shut down, their dishonest and crooked people.
PayPal recently hold my money and they are not release the money until I call them. Even though the packages have been delivered, but they did not release my fund. I want to get them sue, how do we join this Class Action Lawsuit. I am getting tired and sick of doing business with them. Why would we want to make them rich anyway? Without seller and buyer use their server, they are going to be shutdown soon. It would be better to have an alternative electronic payment to this beside PayPal, but since eBay and PayPal are bother and sister company, so they are really want to monopoly the whole e-auction and e-market.
I would like to see a law office or group to get on this case and I will be one of the plaintiff to bring them to court.
I’m not a small business or merchant – I’m a PayPal member who uses the account to occasionally buy/sell items on eBay. In the 12 years I’ve been a member of eBay and later PayPal, I’ve never had a negative review, complaint, etc. So imagine my surprise when they put a temporary hold on my account.

Freed and Weiss is a law firm in Chicago that is currently filing a Class-Action Suit against Paypal INC. for withholding funds and freezing accounts…Google them ans contact the firm to assist with the case!

I would like to know how to join this class action. They are holding my funds 3 days past the reciept of items and good feedback left this has to be illegal
They tried to ‘buy me off’… never did cash those checks… never found out what happened with my case either. Lucky for them the OTS no longer exists…
