Palm Treo 700 & 755 Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Filed

Palm Treo 700 & 755 Users File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Palm Over Alleged Defects In Palm Treo 700 & 755.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Palm in the circuit court of Cook County, Illinois alleging that Palm Treo 700 series and Palm Treo 755p series hand-held devices are saddled with malfunctions and problems, according to a class action lawsuit news report.

The Palm Treo 700 & 755 class action lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges, among other things, that the Palm phones freeze or lock up, requiring the owner to turn the Palm phone off, remove and reinstall the Palm battery, and turn the Palm phone back on again and that the defect can wipe out user data like phone numbers and photos.  The Palm Treo 700 & 755 class action lawsuit complaint also reportedly alleges, among other things, that the Palm phones have poor sound quality.

The Palm Treo 700 & 755 class action lawsuit is reportedly brought on behalf of anyone who bought or received, under warranty, a Treo 700 series or 755p phone, excluding consumers in California.

The Palm Treo 700 & 755 class action complaint reportedly alleges that Palm is in breach express and implied warranty, that Palm violated the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, that Palm’s conduct resulted in unjust enrichment, and that Palm violated several state statutes.

Any idea why California consumers are excluded? …Me being one of those excluded. I realize Palm, and now HP, are based in California, but that shouldn’t matter.
