ATM User Files Class Action Lawsuit Against Viewpoint Bank Over ATM Fees
An ATM user in Plano Texas has filed a class action lawsuit in U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas (Sherman Division) against Viewpoint Bank, according to a class action news report.
The Viewpoint Bank ATM class action lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges that Viewpoint Bank violated the federal Electronic Fund Transfer Act (“EFTA”), which requires that banks and ATM operators provide a screen or paper notice that a fee will be charged for electronic fund transfers services or balance inquiries.
The class action lawsuit against Viewpoint Bank reportedly seeks an award of statutory damages, disgorgement of all monies from the electronic fund transfers at issue and injuntive relief.
