A class action lawsuit has been filed against Chattem, Inc. (“Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana (styled Colonel Paul Jeffery Grube v. Chattem, Inc., Case No. 4:10-cv-00057-SEB-WGH) alleging that Chattem misled the public into believing that its dietary supplement Garlique helps reduce and maintain cholesterol levels, according to a class action lawsuit news report.
The Chattem Garlique class action lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges that numerous studies, including a study released by the Archives of Internal Medicine on February 26, 2007 have concluded that garlic does not provide benefits of cholesterol reduction and maintenance.
The Chattem Garlique class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of all consumers who purchased, used and ingested Garlique.
