AT&T Landline Phone Customers File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against AT&T Over Interior Wire Maintenance, Wire Pro & Home Wire Protection Charges & Fees On Monthly Bills.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against AT&T (“AT&T” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina alleging, among other things, that AT&T charges Interior Wire Maintenance, Wire Pro and Home Wire Protection fees on AT&T monthly bills for customers who allegedly don’t own their interior phone lines, such as in multi-tenant buildings, according to an AT&T Interior Wire Maintenance, Wire Pro & Home Wire Protection Fee Charge class action lawsuit news report.
The AT&T Interior Wire Maintenance, Wire Pro & Home Wire Protection Fee Charge class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of a North Carolina putative class and a nationwide putative class, consisting of residents who had an AT&T account, were not responsible for the maintenance of interior phone wiring in their residence and were charged an Interior Wire Maintenance, Wire Pro or Home Wire Protection fee on their monthly AT&T bills.

I just reviewed my bill and realize I am being charge 7.00 for repeat dialing which I never ordered. I went back as far as the billing would let me which is jan 2010. I don’t know how long they have been doing this. anyone know a good attorney in san francisco bay area who could help me. thanks!
I live in California. The repeat dialing charge started in 2009 @ 6.00. In 2010 it went up to 7.00. I just got off the phone with ATT and they said “it is your responsibility to check your biling”. I asked who put that in my billing and she said it was part of your plan. But the plan is obsolete and it was my responsibility to check the bill and call them to remove it. The Lady said they can only go back 3 months and will credit that.
Who knows an attorney in Cali. where I can get my money back? I am in the East Bay/Oakland area. Let’s get the money back for something we never asked for.
Repeat dialing….what a joke……ATT has taken my money and wont give it back….what can I do?????

I just realized ATT has been charging me for Repeat Dialing option – an option I NEVER requested – since Sep 2008! That totals to at least $280 they have been pocketing from my account. I am appauled at ATT and their unethical business practice. The ATT rep even told me that this option would only be added at the request of the customer. I would have never requested such an option since I have absolutely NO use for it. After being on the phone for a long period of time with ATT , they credited me for $150, still NOT the full amount I have already paid for this option I never requested. Oh, they also like to tell you “It’s the customer’s responsibility to check their bill…” Well, I told them it is ATT’s responsibility to ensure customers are NOT charged for options without their consent and knowledge.
you should report this to the department of consumers affair, there is a state and a county one and you can also contact ucan.org plus also the ftc could help
Dear Long Thi,
Your work is a great service to the consumers.
I had a problem with my AT&T internet service. The repair man came, first he tried to change the modem at a cost to me $120, I asked. That didn’t work out after testing the connection. The old modem remains in use. He changed the jack. Bill came at $120.00
I have “AT&T Wirepro” $8/month. Their billing dept. claimed that it doesn’t cover a charge for the new jack. I read the contract, it is somewhat confusing but I concluded that it covered. What is your opinion on this .
However, I still have problem with DSL. No I won’t call them again.
Thank you very much.
Cordially,
Norris
Hello Norris
For me I think wirepro is only a repair service. But to make very sure I would email att regular customer department and the executive office
If you want to leave a link to the contract so I can read it. Or ask the att forum. I would make a forum and reply to you but then you might have other questions to ask on the forum as well
If you or anyone believes they are scammed I think we should contact each other and get att fined and get our money back,
my new email is stooges258 at sbcglobal.net, there is already four people, including my mother, that I know that have been scammed and if we all come together then the government will do something, I already tried to get help from the state attorney on this and it seems that this isn’t proof
