Volkswagen Group Of America, Inc., Case No. 10-4397-ODW) on behalf of all persons in the State of California who purchased or leased any 2004-2009 Volkswagen or Audi vehicle equipped with an optional High Intesity Gas Discharge headlamp system (“HID Headlamp System”) manufactured, distributed and sold by Volkswagen Group of America and/or its related subsidiaries or affiliates (“VWGoA”) including but not limited to 2004-2006 Volkswagen Toureg, 2008-2009 Audi TT, 2006-2009 Audi A3, 2o05-2007 Audi A4, 2007-2009 Audi A4 Cabriolet and 2007 Audi Q7 (collectively “VW vehicles”), according to class action lawsuit news reports.
The VW Volkswagen & Audi HID Headlamp class action lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges, among other things, that due to a defect in the HID headlamp, the Volkwagen and Audi headlamps appear to function normally when first turned on but sporadically shut off while the vehicle is being driven.
