HuffingtonPost.com Blogger Files Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against The HuffingtonPost.com, AOL and Others Over Alleged Failure to Pay Blog Writers And Contributors Compensation For Website Content Creation.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against TheHuffington Post.com, Inc. (“TheHuffingtonPost.com” or “HuffingtonPost.com” or “The Huffington Post”), AOL Inc. (“AOL”), Arianna Huffington and Kenneth Lerer (collectively “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (styled Jonathan Tasini v. AOL Inc., TheHuffingtonPost.com, Inc. Arianna Huffington and Kenneth Lerer, Class Action Case No. 11-CV- 2472), alleging, among other things, that certain writers and other content providers and contributors to the HuffingtonPost.com have been wrongly denied compensation for the value they created for the Huffington Post, according to the The HuffingtonPost.com blogger class action lawsuit complaint.
The HuffingtonPost.com blogger compensation class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of two putative classes (a declaratory relief and injunctive relief class and a damages class) that include (unlesss otherwise excluded) current and former unpaid content providers to TheHuffingtonPost.com residing in the United States and Canada who did not receive and continue not to receive any compensation related thereto, but do not include employees of TheHuffingtonPost.com, or members or partners of the law firm Kurzon Strauss LLP.
The HuffingtonPost.com class action lawsuit complaint reportedly asserts claims for deceptive business practices under New York law and unjust enrichment.

In addition to whatever complaints are listed here, there should be a class action lawsuit against them for also preventing Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression on their blog sites. They arbitrarily, and I do mean arbitrarily, block posts with no warning and no explanation. There are rules about what will not be tolerated, however, it is random the way they select who they will allow and who they will not. I’ve seen much worse posts than mine be allowed to go through! In their rule bi-laws it states that a person will be warned about posts before actually being blocked. I was NEVER warned or notified about any of my posts, but was blocked with no explanation anyway. When I emailed every address of theirs that I could find, they never responded. A phone number that I was given by AOL to contact HP was out of order. If I can be added to this lawsuit, please advise. I am really sick of them presenting themselves as a ‘professional’ media outlet when they continually censor with no explanations whatsoever.
Sincerely,
