Pandora Radio Music Users File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Pandora Over Alleged Privacy Violations.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Pandora Media, Inc. (“Pandora Media” or “Pandora” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (styled Peter Deacon v. Pandora Media, Inc., Class Action Case No. CV 11-4674) alleging, among other things, that Pandora, which owns and operates www.pandora.com, a website that allows users to borrow digital sound recordings of songs, allegedly violated users privacy by allegedly making user profile pages (containing user name, musical preferences, favorite songs and listening history) publicly available and that in April 2010 Pandora allegedly unilaterally integrated its users’ profile pages with their Facebook accounts which allegedly released sensitive listening records to its users Facebook “friends,” according to the Pandora Music Privacy class action lawsuit complaint.
The Pandora Radio Music Privacy class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of a putative class consisting of the following persons, unless otherwise excluded:
All Michigan residents who registered as users or subscribers of Pandora’s services before August 5, 2010 (the “Disclosure Class”).
All Michigan residents whose Pandora account automatically integrated with a Facebook account before August 5, 2010 (the “Facebook Disclosure Subclass”)

I listen to Pandora on a regular basis and when someone who I know informed me that Pandora posted everything I listened to on their FB page I was irritated until I saw what they really posted. They listed everything I listened to that day and a lot of it was from the lesbian and gay comedy station. I was outed on FB to all of my friends and family. All lot of them knew already, but many didn’t. This is a blatant invasion of privacy and I feel violated to say the least.
