A class action lawsuit has been filed against Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. (“Orbitz Worldwide” or “Orbitz ” or “Defendant”) in the Supreme Court of New York County of Suffolk (styled Francis Shea v. Orbitz Worldwide, Inc.) alleging, among other things, that Orbitz engages in a bait and switch practice by advertising flight and vacation prices that Orbitz cannot and does not intend to honor, refuses to refund consumers’ their monies upon demand and forces Orbitz consumers who do not want to lose monies previously paid to pay additional money for flights or vacation deals, according to the Orbitz airline & vacation booking price class action lawsuit complaint.

As a missionary, I sponsored a resident of Ouagadougou,Burkina Faso, Mr. Asomugha, to the US via Orbitz on Nov. 14th, ticket # 1477262423360 for the total amount of $1,130.90.
Orbitz is a merchant of iGive.com. I represent Make A Change In West Africa charity on iGive.com to raise funds for our organization. When I looked at my purchases, Orbitz reported the cost total in the amount of $710.00. Something is fishy here, I feel I should be refunded for the remainder–$420.00.
