Mercedes-Benz Owners and Lessees File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Mercedes-Benz Over Alleged Defective Water Drainage System in Mercedes-Benz E-Class W-211 Vehicles That Allegedly Causes Interior Cabin Water Leaks and Flooding.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (“Mercedes-Benz” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Central District of California (styled Tigran Cholakyan v. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC Case No. CV 10 5944-MMM (JQ)) alleging, among other things, that Mercedes-Benz designed, manufactured, distributed, sold and leased model year 2002 through 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W-211 vehicles that allegedly contained a design defect in their water drainage system that causes the Mercedes-Benz E-Class W-211 vehicles to be highly prone to water leaks and flooding in the interior cabin of the vehicle, according to class action lawsuit news reports.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class W-211 water leakage and flooding class action lawsuit complaint reportedly alleges that catastrophic engine and/or electrical system failure and damage can occur as a result of water entering and flooding the cabin of Mercedes-Benz E-Class W-211 vehicles.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class W-211 water drainage class action lawsuit is reportedly brought on behalf of a class of all persons in the State of California who purchased or leased model years 2002 through 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W-211 vehicles and a sub-class of all members of the class who are “consumers” within the meaning of California Civil Code CLRA section 1761(d), unless otherwise excluded from either class.
