Purchasers and Lessees Of Lexus and Toyota Vehicles, Including The Lexus RX 350, File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Lexus and Toyota Over Allegedly Defective HVAC Evaporators.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Lexus of Englewood, Lexus U.S.A., Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., Toyota North America, Inc. and Toyota Motor Corporation (collectively “Toyota” or “Lexus” or “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (captioned Dr. David Yu and Chu-hua Kang v. Lexus of Englewood, Lexus U.S.A., Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., Toyota North America, Inc. and Toyota Motor Corporation,) alleging, among other things, that the HVAC evaporator in certain Toyota and Lexus vehicles, including the Lexus RX 350, is defective since, due to corrosion, the aluminum hydroxide coating in the HVAC evaporators begins to peel off and emit into the cabins through the ventilation system as white particulate, according to the Lexus RX 350 & Toyota HVAC Evaporator class action lawsuit complaint.
The Lexus RX 350 & Toyota HVAC Evaporator class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought as a class action on behalf of all individuals who purchased or leased a Lexus RX 350 and any other Lexus or Toyota models (“Class Vehicles”) with the same or similar defect(s) to the HVAC evaporator described in the complaint, from 2006 through the present.

I do own a 2009 Toyota Matrix which, although it doesn’t display the particular problems that form the basis of this complaint, does have problems with the ventilation system. Although they continue to reassure me at the dealer that there’s nothing wrong with it, it takes about 30 minutes of running it in the highest setting to get the AC to cool off the car, even then, it’s not all that cold. If nothing else, I know that it’s not me anymore and that there is something wrong with it.
I have a lexus 2007 rx 350.. its like being in a snow globe when you turn the defroster on. I want to be involved in this class action.
I owned a 2007 RX350 until April of 2014 when the engine was blown due to a coolant oil hose that burst, without giving me a warning light or any other indication that it was losing all the oil. However, the issue here is the air conditioner. The air conditioner light frequently came on and the air conditioner would stop working. Most of the time it would come on again after turning it off and resetting it.
I own a 2007 RX350 and in 2018 Battery Light come on VEHICLE DIE. Water Pump fail as it was making Excessive noise. Had the car towed-in to near Lexus Dealership. Dealership mechanic end-up replacing Water Pump. Coolant was blown due to no coolant left.
