A class action lawsuit has reportedly been filed against Infotrack Information Services, Inc. (“Infotrack” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (styled Samuel M. Jackson v. Infotrack Information Services, Inc., Class Action Case No. 1:11-cv-05801) alleging, among other things, that Infotrack provided consumer reports to employers that allegedly erroneously indicated that plaintiff was a registered sex offender, purportedly in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, according to the Infotrack Information Services sex offender database class action lawsuit complaint.
The Infotrack Information Services sex offender database class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of the following putative class pursuant to F.R.C.P. 23(b)(3):
All consumers who were the subject of a consumer report provided to an
employer by Infotrack Information Services, Inc., between August 23, 2009 and the present, where the consumer report included information from a sex offender database about the consumer even though the consumer’s date of birth did not match the date of birth of the sex offender listed on the consumer’s report.
