A class action lawsuit has reportedly been filed against Google, Inc. (“Google” or “Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (entitled Rachel Frezza and Mauro Rodriguez v. Google, Inc., Class Action Case No. 12-CV-0237) alleging, among other things, that Google charged consumers who signed for a 30-day trial of Google Tags during the trial period and retained their credit card information after their accounts were closed, according to the Google Tags 30-Day Free Trial class action lawsuit complaint.

The Google Tags 30-Day Free Trial class action lawsuit is reportedly brought on behalf of the following proposed classes, unless otherwise excluded:

All consumers nationwide who signed up for a free 30-day trial of Google Tags and who were nevertheless charged for their use of the tags during this period.

All consumers nationwide who signed up for a free 30-day trial of Google Tags and whose credit card information was retained by Google after their accounts where closed.

The Google Tags 30-Day Free Trial class action lawsuit complaint reportedly asserts claims for alleged breach of contract, unjust enrichment, violation of California Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Cal Civ Code section 1750, breach of implied contract and violation of California Customer Records Act Cal Civ Code 1798.80.
