Owners & Lessees Of Ford Vehicles With Ford Power Stroke Diesel Engine File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Ford & Navistar Over Allegedly Defective Diesel Engines.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Ford Motor Company (“Ford Motor” or “Ford”) and Navistar, Inc. (“Navistar”) f/k/a International Truck and Engine Corporation (collectively “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California (styled Brandon Burns v. Navistar, Inc. and Ford Motor Company, Civil Action Case No. 3:10-cv-02295-LAB -BGS) alleging, among other things, that Defendants manufactured, marketed and/or sold Ford’s Super Duty trucks and Ford Excursion vehicles for model years 2003-2007 that contained Ford & Navistar manufactured 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engines that allegedly suffer from manufacturing and design defects that render the engines and vehicles unmerchantable and unsuitable, according to the Ford & Navistar 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engine class action lawsuit complaint.
The Ford & Navistar 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engine class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of a putative class of all owners and lessees within California of Ford vehicles equipped with Navistar’s 6.0 L diesel engine, commonly referred to as the Power Stroke V8 Turbo diesel engine, unless otherwise excluded.

i contacted the lawyer today. I left a message and have not heard back. Can anyone help give guidance as to how you became part of the lawsuit. I have had multiple issues with my truck and want to be part of this….
thanks,
Russell
HELP!! We have spent thousands on our truck. I have know faith that it will get us from point A to point B. It’s the worst investment we have ever made. Please tell me what to do to join the class action lawsuit. I see more problems coming and I need some relief..
My 07 F-250 only has 50K on it and it has already received a new turbo. My wife and I will be pulling a 30′ R. V. around the country and we are scared to use it. I am going to take it back to the dealer and see if they can get me into a 3/4 ton gas engine truck, without too much damage to my rear end. Otherwise Class Action: I’m it……….
Count me in, I live in Georgia and have a 2004 F250 will all of the above problems that have been repaired and it is back in the shop for more. Please count me in on this lawsuit.
Count me in, I live in Arkansas and have a 2005 Ford Excursion with 6.0 diesel. Have 98K miles and having lots of problems, have spent over $3400 on it the last 2 weeks and still in shop – EGR valve, EGR cooler, Oil cooler, on & on. Please include me in the lawsuit. It is discusting that Ford did not recall these vehicles to replace the weak parts that commonly fail with the stronger parts that are available today.
You bet, count me in on a lawsuit against the responsable parties. I have a 2005 Excursion, love the truck, hate the motor and no longer trust it as it has left me stranded on the side of the road twice. Each time the repairs has been several thousands. Not counting the half a dozen other trips to the repair shop for lost power and various other motor related issues. What a disappointment.
We want in on this lawsuit. We bought a 2004 f350 ford diesel in 2007 and within 6 mos was having problems. It spent more time in the shop then on the road. We spent over $8000 in repairs and it still needed another $8000 when we got rid of it.
Very discussed in the way this has been handled! I live in Maryland and have not be able to find anyone to listen. Count me in.
I would like more information on the 6.0L powerstroke lawsuit. My truck is a 2005 with a very long list of repairs. Some repairs under warranty and others out of my pocket for thousands of dollars. Bought this truck to pull my travel trailer and for a daily driver cost me a vacation and almost dont trust it to get me to work. Which is all i do with it now.
Have a 2003 F-350 DWR. Have had every problem listed above, from all injectors changed out, turbo replace, EGR value replaced and fuel control module replaced. Still blows black smoke more than it should. What do you have to do to get included??
We have a Ford Superduty 2004 Diesel Powerstroke F-350–We have not had a year that we have not put money into this truck. Just one year $7000.00–We have replaced nearly almost everything on this truck. The first year of purchase we had to replace all of the lifters. We are very frustrated and it is now paid off and is sitting in the door yard. I am so wishing that someone will help us out with this matter. It is too bad but We DISCOURAGE people from buying the ford product and We use to love Ford. I am hoping that within this lawsuit that the company will help out people that cant afford out of pocket to take care of these expenses!!!!
I would like to be involved inthe lawsuit. I have had icurred atleast 10,000 in repairs in the past few years.
I own a 2007 f550 6.0 liter powerstroke that has been I’n the garage 32 times I’n one calendar year! Two turbos, blown heads, blown egr valve , leaking oil cooler , 5 ipr valves, 4 axle seals , hubs and many more issues ford declared it a lemon i got and 8500 settlement and attorneys took 4 grand i had a 7.3 liter powerstroke with 250000 miles on it it ran like a champ I’m still having a miss under hard acceleration or when i tow it just turned over 100000 it’s a nightmare piece of junk
I own a 2004 f-250 with the 6.0. Had blew a headgasket because of the head bolts that stretched. Spent over $7500 plus on repairs! Really put me back, being my daily driver. I would love to join the law suite! Please, somebody get in touch with me to start next step.
I own a 2003 f550 6.0 liter turbo diesel of which I brought brand new. I have approx 68,000 miles. I have spent over seven thousand dollars of my money for repairs from fuel injectors to turbo. I had fumes coming into my cabin on the way to work winter of 2010. I truck would not go any faster than 30 miles per hour. The most embarassing thing was that I had two co-workers with me. We all suffered from bad headaches to blood shot eyes. I can’t figure for the life of me how Ford could put out a product like this. My insurance picked up some of the tab but I would like to be reimbursed the money I spent on this poorly crafted vehicle.I would like to get in on this class action lawsuit PLEASE.
I want in also. I wish I knew more about this engine before I bought it and have sunk a ton of hard earned money into it. EGR valve to fuel problems ect It went to the shop yesterday…….hate to see what this bill is going to be.
Add me to the class action lawsuit list. Our business owns a 2006 6.0 liter turbo diesel. It first went to the shop in 2009 at 23,287 miles with the EGR valve problem. It was replaced under warranty but I had to put up a fight. (I just had to add this, our Tonneau cover on this truck was stolen at this Ford dealer while there for service. I had to threaten legal action and they paid to have it replaced and installed.) Anyway, low and behold here we are again!!! 41,228 miles on March 1st 2012 with $3,186.19 in estimated parts & repairs for the same GD BS.
i also have a ford 250 /6.0 motor with trouble
I own a 2004 f-350 with the 6.0. Had several problems with fuel injectors, turbo and other sensors and module. Spent over $3500 plus on repairs! I would love to join the law suite! Please, count me in and somebody get in touch with me to start next step.
There are several law firms filing this class action lawsuit, we live in Georgia so who do we go with?
count me in my 03 power stroke went out under 100,000 miles and 3 days before warranty was over by the time i got ahold of ford they wouldnt replace it i had to put a new engine in it now it still takes a long time to warm up hard to start in cold weather and i dont trust it on long trips and who wants to by a 6.0 litre ford
I can’t get over this. I have been dealing with these same issues for almost a year. In the last 2 months I have taken my 2003 F-250 to 3 different desiel mechanics. And they have all told me that I need to take my truck to a dealership because they don’t want to mess with it. So I started looking on the internet to see if anybody has came across this problem and I find out about this lawsuit. Now I am stuck because I don’t know what to do. I still owe $7,000 on the truck and I feel like not making anymore payments because there is no way I can afford putting $5000+ into this truck. I am on disability with a fixed income and I bought this truck hoping this would last me allot longer than a Gas truck. I only have 109,000 miles on it and I have a funny feeling I won’t see 110,000 miles.
Hi John, I too own a 2004 Ford F-250 6.0 Diesel and my truck has 77,885 miles. I bought this used in 2010. I have had issues with black smoke, loss of power, jerking tranny, and turbo noises, also loss of coolant levels. I also am on permanenet social security disability. I have been looking to trade the truck but no dealer wants it and I get offered very little. I feel stuck and not sure what to do. I have called an attorney Loncar and associates in Dallas Texas for help. You have any advise?
We have replaced all the above in our 05 F350. Any help we could get would be greatly appreciated. Who do we contact in Texas?
I have a 2003 F350 6.0 litre diesel King Ranch Ford pickup. I have over $31K in this truck. Long story, on my third engine. I want in on any class action lawsuit. I trust my dealer but I don’t trust Ford anymore. LAST Ford truck I will ever buy! Ford should buy every 6.0 litre engine back!
I must be the lucky one, only one issue on my 06 F250 with 60K miles. I had a engine wire harness go bad at 20K miles and it would not start. Ford covered the repair no questions asked. I purchased the extended warranty until 75K, a good $2400 investment I think.
Still I am joining in on this for the lost value and any future repairs of the truck.
I bought a 2004 350 power stroke in July of 2o10, and started to have to put a little coolant in with in 2 months. Since then a new EGR cooler, a new oil cooler, all new injectors, all last fall!!. The truck is back in the shop as I am writing this at least one injector being replaced again. What do I need to do? I have already spent thousands and probably won’t be able to get rid of it. Please advise. Thanks, Randy
sign me up 2005 f250 6.0 all the way /north carolina/
How do I get involed I have a 06 f350 with the 6.0
sign me up 2004 f250 6.0 have many problems change injectors cold wheater no want start at all and many moore problems
I would like more info on this to I have a 03 F350 6.0 Kentucky
How can we become part of this, I spent so much to buy my 2005 F350, only to spend thousands more to keep it going. We folks need some support for an issue ford is very aware of.
I had a 2003 Excursion. It had the rear main seals replaced 6 times within the first 102,000 mikes. I even had an extent edged Ford Diesel care warranty , I begged my dealer to replace the engine with terrible customer service. I will never buy another Ford because of their lack of customer support.
Count me in on the laws suit if possible please.
I have a 2004 f250 I bought it in 2009 .i have had problems with it not running good it stalls when taking off ,it has been in the shop every year for some kind of repair .the last time was 2/21/12 for it stop running and whould not start . the said the turbo underboost ,ebp sensor malfuntion ,had Icp pressure low, they also checked out the high pressure oil oil system
I also own a 2007 F-250. Its been in the shop for 2 injectors and has been very well taken care of (have receipts). It has 83,000 and out of warranty. Please add me to the law suit before I’m out alot of money!!!
I too have issues with all the above for mentioned systems on my 2003
F-350 super-duty. the motor in this truck costs me on average $5000 a year in repairs ?? What were ford and international thinking by putting this defective product in the public markets?? makes me wonder about the many municipalities that use this configuration in public service??
are we as tax payers that support these municipalities forced to pay for these engineering flaws all across the board, not only on our own personal vehicles as well as our community service providers??
by all means I will become a part of this .
Jeff in Florida
who in florida is handling the suit against ford?
I have an F350 dually with the 6.0 turbo diesel. I only have 26K miles on it an have yet to experience all of the above problems, but from what I am reading, it sounds like it is just a matter of time. Even though, as I stated above, I have not had the problems yet, it sounds like the retail value of these vehicals have gone way down. I would like to get added to the lawsuit to get back the value I have lost on this truck & coverage for future engine failures. Thanks, Jim
The SUIT is the RIGHT thing to do! I own a 2005 Ford Excursion with just a little over 78,000 miles. I recently was gifted with a plethera of white smoke. After a little research, I found that the 6.0 Power Stroke has a history of problems. Not an inexpenxive repair to say the least. My concern is, after I pay form the repair, how long will it last? What is FORD willing to do to rectify this problem? Anyways, I called and left a voicemail with the attorney. Count me in. I grew up a Chevy truck fan. Wonder if the Suburban would have been a better choice? Waiting to hear if the suit goes forward. DS
I wasn’t going to get involved in this class action law suit because my father worked for GM for over 40 years, and I did not want to be party to Fords’ potential bankruptcy, but I do NOT want another bill like the one we got when our Ford Excursion broke down. $3600. If it broke down today, we’d be screwed. Who has that kind of money lying around?? It’s sad that this engine wasn’t even manufactured by Ford, but by an outside contractor who cannot afford to rectify OR reimburse, and that Fords’ good name has been dragged through the mud because of it. I hope, for the sake of the American Automobile, they will reconsider the next time they subcontract something they could have made better if they had just made it themselves. Cheaper is not always better.
i want in this bad boy i lost my 2006 f350 due to cerritos ford i havent had the truck but 6 to 8 months when it completly died on freeway computer read cleaning exhast truck shook then read slow to safe speed then competly died took it to a dealer shop was told i had to pay fees for tear down n other procedures totaling $1500.00 thinking factory warrenty was still in affect n truck had 40,000 miles on it so cerritos ford said it was my falt somthing about oil part warrnty dont cover $30,000 for new motor
I would love to get involved in this. My F350 is in shop as we speak. It had busted egr tube. Fixed that with sinister delete. Then found that head gaskets were blown. To heads off and found that the heads were warpped. Waiting to hear from shop some time today to find out if anything is wrong in block before I buy new heads, gaskets, and arp head bolts!!!!!! This blows it gave no warning it just got hot on the way to work out of no where!!!!!
WOW, we bought and paid for a brand new ford f350 6.0 liter and have had nothing but problems with it since the day I have gotten it, taking title loan after title loan just to continue to replace injectors and egr valves. I have fought ford tooth and nail on this and frankly they just didnt care. 8 yrs later I am still sitting on this truck in my drive way and no way to fix nor been compensated for any of this. infact ford refused to help me 2 days within warranty. I have had error egr valve and glo plugs and replaced them 3 times already. My wife and I have tried to get to the bottom of this and it just wasnt anyones worry but mine. False advertisement is exactly right! please include me in on this one. I just want a running truck at this point. I bought a 61,000 dollar truck and feel I deserve just that. I have been stuck under title loans for past 5 years just paying interest so that I can get to work! I stress night and day about this truck it effects my work most definetly I have lost many jobs for this piece of crap truck sitting in my driveway! You may contact me at price.trisia@yahoo.com and I will be contacting lawyer in regd to this! I am absolutly done with FORD!
If anyone has info on this Ford 6.0 lawsuit please let me know. I live in Washington St. Thanks John
I have a 2003 Ford F25o 6.0 & I had to buy a older model Chevrolet truck so I would have reliable transportation back & forth to work. I received a letter in the mail stating that Ford wanted to buy my F250 back with no purchase necessary. I put about $8,000 in my F250 last year. I loved my truck when I first bought it. If I had it to do over again I would have never bought it. Please count me in on this lawsuit!
I own a 2006 f350 crew cab dually 4+4 6.0 L diesel. Wow! Where do I begin 1) replaced egr cooler w/bulletproof egr cooler 2) arp bolts in the heads 3) replaced the alternator 4)radiator 5) radiator reservoir 6)0n & on etc., still need to replace the inner oil cooler! Why doesnt Ford have to replace these parts on this engine that Navistar & Ford Motos both new had major defective parts? That’ve should be a recall on all 6.0 L diesel engines from 2002-2007!! They knew that the engine has numerable defective parts but still advertised and sold these vehicles as the most dependable vehicles in the market! Why don’t we the consumer have protection against these giant motor companies and why should we be the ones to have to pay for dishonest advertisements by automobile giants and spend our hard earned money on deception and defective parts that the manufacturers were aware of; Ford Motors & Navistar(international trucks) something has to be done!!
My truck is 2003 F250 with 73,000 miles. When the check engine light kept coming on, I took it to the Power Stroke specialist who said it was a potential EGR problem. The specialist cleaned up the EGR but cautioned me against taking a long trip. Count me in!
I wish ford would do something I’m tired of dumping $ in my f350
Customer service know me by first name, I have all the past e mails concerning my 2005 6.0 Ford /super duty. I filled out a form regarding my issues, over three thousand in engine repairs, to which they blew me off several times, the last time rudely. I spoke with a customer service person who gave me the dance so I finally gave up but asked her to remove me from any further communication from ford, to which she agreed. Then I started getting email blasted by ford about the quality of their products. Insult to injury.
I also would like to join the law suit. I just recently on the way to a new job had my truck break down due to the EGR and cooler. My truck is bone stock and has always been taken care of. This almost cost me a job which in todays economy was very important.
I would also like to join! $4,000 in repairs in two months! replaced all 8 injectors and still runs like crap! white smoke all the time when on start up.
I have been experiencing the same problems with my 2005 Ford F350 heavy duty truck. I have had it at the dealership for the same problems before the warranty ran out…surprise !!! They finally found the problem when the warranty ran out. I’ve replaced the head gaskets twice the EGR valves twice, fuel injector module and injectors. I don’t feel confident to take the truck on long trips….not so sure about the short ones either. I am very dissatisfied to the point that I’d never own another Ford vehicle ever!!! Ford should stand behind their product. Count me in please!!!
Bought a 2004 F-350 in 2007. Soon after I had the dreaded EGR problem. It cost me 800 bucks to get it fixed and 6 months later it goes out again and now I have engine oil in the coolant! I find out that the oil cooler is bad. At the Parr Ford dealership in Bremerton Washington they told me my powertrain warranty does not cover these types of failures even though I lose all power! I have a small concrete business and I use this truck for work, please include me in this lawsuit.
My 6.0 almost killed me and 3 friends when it died on top of Mississippi river bridge! Will just die while driving with no control of it! Been in shop countless times! 05 with only 80,000 miles because I’m scared to drive it! Now burning coolant, bad EGR! Really!? How is this ok!? How does ford get away with this!? Guess that’s what I get for paying $47,000 for a ford! I’m PISSED!!!!!!!
Please contact me about this. I have a 2005 F250 6.0 diesel with 132,000 that died last night. Oil coming out of the exhaust very black oil and just had the oil changed the day before.
Count me in! I bought my 2005 F-350, used, in 2008 with 47k miles. Since then its been nothing but trouble. And that’s putting it nicely so as not to offend anyone with my language. I’ve replaced all 8 injectors, fuel injector module, EGR valve, cooler, and have had a blown head gasket(I bought aftermarket head studs w hopes this won’t happen again). Not to mention countless other problems. I absolutely HATE this truck. Hate it to the point where I will never by another Ford truck again, which is causing quite a rift in the household since my wife works for Ford.
I have a 2004f350 super duty 6.0l it is a nightmare I have put 9nk into this truck since last May, I have no more money, no one will take it im trade I am stuck I want to join this class action Ford needs to make it right,
I also have a 2006 F-350 6.0 that is a piece of junk. I have replaced the high preasure oil pump and now it wont hardly run blows blue smoke and the dealership tells me it is the ECU and the injectors. I used to buy an new
Ford every 2 years and I will never buy one again EVER if Ford will not help out with these issues with the 6.0.
My POS 2005 F-350 6.0 Has new high pressure oil pump, new FICM, new head gaskets, new injectors, new EGR Cooler, new Oil Cooler. Would love to know how to get in on a Class Action. I have lost all faith in Ford. Everyone has had the problems. This is a class action no brainer!!!
Who do we contact in Texas to join this class action against Ford? Thanks for any guidance.
Call Brian Loncar and Associates in Dallas Texas. Thats who I have retained for possible litigation. Sorry I dont have there number right now,but you can find there website online. Good luck!!
we own a 2006 F350 6.0 liter Diesel power stroke
The truck has been in for so many repairs we’ve lost count
This is our business truck, our livleyhood. You name it it’s been replaced. Now, out of warranty with less than 100k miles on it & it needs a new motor! I called Ford & spoke to a supervisor & they say there is nothing they can do or will do to back their product, just keep the receipt and they will contact us via snail mail if a recall occurs! Meanwhile we are left without a work vehicle! Can you send me info on this lawsuit please?
I too have been raped by ford! I am the original owner of a 05 f250 kings ranch , and I have had the same problems as every one else. I have taken my truck to 5 different dealers, hoping that a different mechanic would have better luck fixing the problems. Did not work! Before my 5 year 100,000 mile warranty ran out a called ford and after speaking to several people they gave me an extended warranty of 7 year 200,000 mile warranty. Well now that the truck is in the shop again they will not warranty every thing that is wrong with it. Go figure! Called cust. Service again and might as well been pissing into the wind!!! 5 major repairs to oil injectors, turbo, oil sending units, various oil leaks before 110,000 mile is insane. Ford needs to man up and take care of these problems! I will never ever purchase another ford product and will bad mouth them till the day I die. If there are any class action law suits against them count me in!
I just purchased a 2004 f350 and in the first two months i just spend couple thousand and still need about three to four thousand more in repairs according to the dealer.only has 111,000 miles just want it fixed with out any more money out off my pocket.
We have a 2004 F-550 and it has been nothing but a headache for us. The repair bill for this is into the $10’s of thousands of dollars.
Count me in. My 2003 F250 has 128000, but it also has had all the issues. Currently in the shop for EGR and oil cooler, again.
I’m new to this media so I hoPe to get conformation of receipt. I have a Ford 250 turbo diesel and sometimes it just stops. My mechanic is excellent but he tells me he has nO idea what’s wrong and suggests I get rid of it… I am disabled and cannot afford to just buy another vehicle…Please help me so I know what to do. Info on the class action suit is sketchy at best for me
My name is Dane Mcgraw. I won two hundred thousand dollars on the Kentucky powerball. Which after taxes would be around 136,000 thousand dollars. The first thing I bought was a powerstroke 6.0 because they way they wistled. Loved my truck bought it used. Truck had 140,000 miles which should be nothing for a diesel. Truck was using intffeeze! Asked the owner that bought it brand new? He said, it had always done that! Bull—- I thought because why would a brand new truck do that. Thought nothing of it bought a mini exavator and a skid steer. Bought a trialer to haul them on. Got a job doing footers for trailers. Guy that I had bought trailer from said he had made two hundred thousand dollars a year doing that? That is why I bought the skid steer and mini hoe.
I couyld write so much more but what good will it do after reading all of this I cant sell my truck I am stuck with it.
I previously owned a 2004 6.0. I owned the truck for a little less than 2 years and there wasn’t a single month it stayed repair free! I spent more money keeping it on the road with continuous EGR, FICM and oil system issues than I did on the monthly payments. That’s nearly 12,000$ in less than 2 years on a truck with less than 100,000 miles! I finally was able to get rid of it at an extremely reduced price, of course less than I still owed. I loved the truck and had a lot of great memories in it, I just wish it wasn’t a lemon. What happened to the days of quality? Please count me in! I’ve been a loyal ford customer my whole life along with my entire family! I’m still feeling the effects of all that money wasted and gone!
Email me: cmsmontgomery@gmail.com
Where do we sign up I live in Texas.
Jeff, if you find out let me know I also live in Texas and want in on this..I have paid twice over for my excursion with egr issues! Thanks, judy
I would also like to join in the lawsuit. I purchased a 2005 f250 lariat in Feb 2009 with 25000 miles on it. I drive this truck once a week for the last 3 years averaging around 6000 miles per year. My truck has been in the ford dealers shop 4 times with major engine issues and (thankfully) covered by the extended warranty I purchased. Now my EGR cooler and oil cooler is shot and they won’t cover it. The dealer is asking 3 grand to fix THIS problem. I have 4 thousand/ 9 months left on my warranty. There is no way I want this truck with or without a warranty. I asked Ford costumer relations if they could help me. There answer was “Sorry but you don’t qualify for any customer assistants”. Quick internet searches show that this is a lemon and full of issues. No wonder no one buys fords… I feel like a third world customer.
I would also like to know how to join this lawsuit, not for me but my father in law has been having problems with his F350 6.0 for the past 2 years. He has already put 5k into repairs and it is doing the same thing still. I just heard about this class action for these reasons, and they are the exact problems he is having. Is there a number I can give him? I would really appreciate it! Thank you.
I would like more information on this lawsuit as well. I own a 2006 F250 6.0 liter and within a week of owning we had to replace the headgasket, then 2 or 3 months later we replace the EGR sensor, and now 3-5 months later here we are putting in the fuel modular. With all these repairs we almost hate to drive it, cause it may need to be repaired again soon if we do. We as other are going to shy away from Ford.
I want more info please. I have a 2006 6.0 F250 who do I contact in North Carolina. I guess its true what they say Fix Or Repair Daily(F.O.R.D)
I have a 2003 F250 6.0. I bought it new and only have 58,000 miles on it and it has had both heads replaced, the FICM, one injector and in the shop for 3 oil leaks. I bought the truck just before I tired so we could do some traveling. I can’t aford a new one and I’am afraid I would loose money on it if I tryed to trade it in. I also like more informatiom on the class action lawsuit.
WE HAVE THE F350 KING RANCH 6L AND HAD A LOT A LOT OF TROUBLE ABOUT 7000.00 OF DAMAGE. COUNT US IN AND PLEASE CONTACT!

Nothing but trouble out of my 05 excursion. Always the same thing, egr valve issues. Need to know who is handling lawsuit for people in Alabama. I want my money back. Dealer told me I could get 750,000 miles,no problem, but it is a problem. Ford needs to compensate those of us who are suffering through this.I want my money back all of it.tax and all, plus my out of pocket expense!
So is anyone monitoring this website? I have not received a response as of yet. How do I get accounted for in this class action suit?
Strom lawfirm in Brunswick,Ga. is handling my action.
I submitted my information previously but have not heard from anyone. I want in on this class action suit. We have two 2003 and 2006 F250 with the 6.0 and both have had the problems, costly problems with the motor. We have spent well over $9000 on both already. This is work being done in a Ford service shop and other mechanics doing work. This is absolutely insane. I will NEVER buy another Ford! Ford as a lot of cleanup to do on this to make this right! Count me in and let me know what I need to do!!! Thanks. Ragan
I am also very interested in suit, have been lucky and have not had alot of problems but been trying to sell o6 F350 and can’t seem to give it away. I here the same thing over and over that they are scared of the 6.0
I too want in on this class action lawsuit. I bought a 2003 F250 Super duty with the infamous 6.0 and have since place two turbo chargers on it plus too much other repairs to list. The Truck only has 60K miles on it and now showing symptoms of requiring a head gasket job…Help
I own two 6.0 trucks. A 2003 and a 2005. I run a business and instead of making money to put food on the table and cloths on my kids back, im dumping it into my 6.0. My 2005 the turbo went out at 37,000 miles and the cambell ford dealership in niles, MI told me to take a hike, i was 2 months past the 5 year warranty for drivetrain. Complete joke. ford has no respect for thier customers.
Im in. My 2007 f-250 with only 40,000 miles just had the EGR valve go out. I spent 2500 on extended warranty and they wont cover it. also said wont cover Head gasket or other internal parts because failure is due to EGR valve that is not coverd.
I own a 2004 F350 SAME problems as every one else. EGR valve and oil cooler blown. Engine light again, back to Ford again today. Truck only has 78000 miles on it. Please send info on joining the class action suit. We live in Nebraska.
I purchased 2008 6.4 FX4 Ford F250. Just after my warranty run out, the High Pressure fuel pump went out $4500.00. Shortly there after the trucks EGR valve stuck open. I talked with a mechanic and he explanined the EGR cooler has started leaking causing the valve to stick. Apparently this is the norm. I have had nothing but issues. I only can comment that the 6.0 is not the only Ford diesel with issue.
My fire department has a 2004 with all the same problems and we have only 4300 miles on the truck and can’t get it repaired. Just talked to Ford Motor Company customer service division. They said it was our problem, vehicle out of warranty and will not do anything. Thanks Ford! We want in on this class action lawsuit.
COUNT ME IN. THIS TRUCK IS A PIECE OF JUNK. QUIT RUNNING FIVE TIMES ON ME TODAY 3-29-12. JUNK JUNK JUNK. JERRY TINNEY EAST TEXAS.
Like all the posts above, Ive had the same problems with my 2004 F-250 King Ranch with a 6.0 engine. Multiple repairs, being stranded, etc. One major problem that still persists, that Ford couldn’t figure out at least 4 times is the engine. It revs up for no reason. I almost wiped out some kids in a crosswalk (seriousely) when I was stopped at an intersection. The truck just lurched foward even though my foot was on the brake. I have learned to press down all the way on my breaks when stopped at lights etc to prevent a tragedy! Endless stories to tell. Count me in!!!
I had the same problem with my 03 F250..check the IPR switch. It will break and look like oil running down and may look like an oil leak. Took care of the problem for me.
Good luck
I have had the same problems bought a new 05 F-350 Aug., 24 2005 and it’s currently seeting in the yard inoperable
Have a 2003 with the 6.0 with 83, 000 miles. Ford would not pay for the blown head gasket since the truck was right over 5 yrs old. Dealing with injector issures now- always something. Sign me up.
2003 with less than 85K, constant engine problems- blown head gasket and sticking injectors.
Ford sucka in TX
Sign me up! My 2005 F-250 has same issues. I’ve been told will take about 3-4 weeks to fix not counting the COST! this is my work truck and if it doesnt run I dont make money….
Please include me on this suit. I owned a 2003 F350 DRW, was on the 4th turbo, I replaced all injectors, 2 EGR valves, the power unit, numerous sensors, a glow plug modual, and the list continues all with under 68k miles! It’s sad, I was a “Ford Man” for 40-years, but after putting out $8k in one month I traded it in for a Titan and will never buy Ford again.
Include me too! I have a 2004 F350 that at 8,000 miles kept dying on me. That problem took about 3 trips to the dealership to get corrected. Several oil leaks along the way. Then it blew the EGR cooler at about 80,000 miles while towing my boat from Long Beach to San Diego. Ford replaced the EGR cooler under warranty, but did not replace the oil cooler which was also recommended according to the service bulletin. Then 6,000 miles out of warranty the EGR cooler blew again, but also the oil cooler this time around. The dealership wanted $4,200 to do the repair!!! I couldn’t afford it, so I bought the parts and my buddy and I did the work ourselves, but still spent about $700. Then, the fuel injector pressure regulator went out to the tune of another $800. That damned check engine light keeps going on and off. Now 156,000 miles on the truck and it just died in the middle of a busy intersection today which will cost God only knows how much. My research indicates probably the FICM or $1,600 worth of fuel injectors or both. Will the repairs ever stop with this truck? Luckily I haven’t had any head bolt problems….yet. By the way, according to Ford, I am only half way to the expected service life of this engine. Yeah right. My family and I have been longtime Ford truck owners for generations, but this may very well be the end of that tradition.
We have a 2006 350 ford diesel 106,804 miles. broken down on the highway three time. Towed in once. We have had Fuel regulator problem ($1,243.94. New (8) injector replaced $3,445.69. New oil cooler replaced $4,041.54. New turbo replaced $1,722.30. Add us to your class action suit in Missouri.
how long does it take for a attorney get back to you
I want in on this lawsuit. Own 06. F350 all stock, 56000 miles.
Already problems as all folks above.
Ford needs to stand behind their product or shut down.
They would ask the same from us if we sold them lemon like this.
Live in Illinois so let me know who to contact please.
All I can say is you all should have done some research. The V8 configuration is not designed for the kind of power diesel owners need. Should have bought a Dodge. The Cummins engine that Dodge uses has been used in just about every industrial and commercial application imaginable. It is about as bulletproof as any mechanical device can be. It has lots of power in the rpm ranges that diesel owners need to haul that heavy load. It also gets better fuel mileage than Ford or Chevrolet. I do agree that Ford and Navistar should step up and take care of their many problems and get you back on the road.
I want in on this lawsuit. Please send me any inforation regarding steps to join. I have 3 of these trucks and have all had problems since day 1! I live in Michigan and will do whatever it takes to get Ford to man up to their faults.
Yeah I just found out that I have the same issue with the EGR Cooler…my 2003 F250 hit 100K and it started in with all sorts of problems and from the looks of it…this just might be the tip of the iceberg…I can hardly wait to see what happens next..(insert sarcasm here) How does one become part of this suit? I hate the fact that the car and truck Manufactures use the public as their test subjects…we pay enough for these vehicles that technically they should be proven before they EVER leave the factory floor!!!!
I have about 114,000 miles on my 2004 diesel F250 and looking at at a $6400 bill to, among other things, replace the turbo for a second time. I want to tell them to keep the truck but I paid to damn much for it new. I hate to feel I have been taken by Ford. Time to sell my stock. I should have gone with a Cummins. Let me know of any progress.
I’d very much like to be included in this class action lawsuit!
I live in Hawaii and own a F250 Super Duty 4×4 diesel with a 6.0 L motor. Shortly after I bought it I was prompted by Ford to bring it in for service. As a result the turbo has been changed twice, fortunately at that time my truck was under warranty. Now my truck is at 105,000 and is having the same type of problem of sputtering and now won’t even start. Unfortunately this time it is “not under warranty”. I’ve seen many complaints about Ford’s 6.0 L motor online and my mechanic has even gone on record saying that this motor is the worst that he has ever worked on. I’d like to see the manufacturers invloved held accountable for this very costly blunder! Again please count me in!
