Owners & Lessees Of Ford Vehicles With Ford Power Stroke Diesel Engine File Class Action Lawsuit Complaint Against Ford & Navistar Over Allegedly Defective Diesel Engines.
A class action lawsuit has been filed against Ford Motor Company (“Ford Motor” or “Ford”) and Navistar, Inc. (“Navistar”) f/k/a International Truck and Engine Corporation (collectively “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California (styled Brandon Burns v. Navistar, Inc. and Ford Motor Company, Civil Action Case No. 3:10-cv-02295-LAB -BGS) alleging, among other things, that Defendants manufactured, marketed and/or sold Ford’s Super Duty trucks and Ford Excursion vehicles for model years 2003-2007 that contained Ford & Navistar manufactured 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engines that allegedly suffer from manufacturing and design defects that render the engines and vehicles unmerchantable and unsuitable, according to the Ford & Navistar 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engine class action lawsuit complaint.
The Ford & Navistar 6L Power Stroke Diesel Engine class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of a putative class of all owners and lessees within California of Ford vehicles equipped with Navistar’s 6.0 L diesel engine, commonly referred to as the Power Stroke V8 Turbo diesel engine, unless otherwise excluded.

2005 Lariat F-350 4×4. Runs like garbage, been through 3 turbo’s, twice failed to start due to high pressure oil pump sensor. Now it’s the EGR cooler, and head gasket problem. Sick of it, and sick that I spent $47K on this truck and it’s a piece of crap. Count me in if possible, or get it done in Cali, so we can be the next state to sue Ford and International.
i want to get in on this. The 6.o motor should never have been put on the market it is a pice of junk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and to make things worse the ford experts cant even fix them.5000 k of my hard earned money and it still wont run!! back to the ford experts to get Screwed again Rick Randall one pissed off ford owner
I also would like in on this I have out in over 12k in repairs on my 04 f250 and Im very wary on going anywhere in it without worrying about a breakdown that’s gonna cost thousands hopefully a settlement can be reached and something will be done!
I’m going to skip the details but to say I have a 2006 F-350 6.0L with 12,000 miles on it and six turbos to date. How do I determine if I am eligible to participate in this suit being in Connecticut and if so what is the procedure?
Thank you.
i scott tindall ,own a 04 6.0 f350 the truck drives good i have had it for three years ive done evry thing but put a new motor in it , its killing me ive done filled bank rupposy on it and the truck has only ran right for two months out of three yrs its been sitting about one and a half of the three yrs due to lack of money i actually had money before the truck.
I’m in Austin Texas and have an F350 SD Crew Cab (2006) that has been fraught with troubles. Most recently the EGR failed and I may have a cracked engine block. I have had this truck in the shop COUNTLESS times even after spending the exhorbitant purchase price on the vehicle. How do I join the class action suit….I’ve already spent thousands on other repairs on the engine…
How do I join the lawsuit? I have a 2006 Amarillo F250 and it has been in the shop off and on for the last year. EGR problems.
Too bad I live in Canada. Ford broke me with the 6.0 liter. My 2006 F550 has 406,000kms but has had no fewer than 5 engine changes. The 4th motor was a remanufactured one from a Ford dealer. It made it to 80,000km before it tanked. I changed oil religiously every 5000km. Both fuel filters every 10,000 km.
I have records of everything.
This is on top of numerous breakdowns. One example: Truck died. Dealer charged me $2500 to diagnose a faulty wiring harness and quoted me a further $3500 to replace it. Prior to that, the truck made the rounds of two other shops who couldn’t fix or even get it started. Total bill that time was over $7500.
Head gaskets, EGR valves, oil coolers, injectors, radiators, wiring, steering pumps, fuel pump, fuses, etc etc. You name it, they have failed. Most more than once.
First injector went at 40,000km and things went from bad to worse from that point.
Took it in for service one time because of a service engine light. They changed the PCM for $2800. By the time I got it home, the engine hydrauliced. Ended up changing all of the injectors before giving up and changing the engine that time. Later I tried the original PCM again and it worked fine.
I’m hoping my current engine makes it past 50,000km-until I can afford to put a Cummins in.
Right now it is running rich and no one seems to be able to fix that even though the motor has low kms and all the upgrades. Until the fuel pump was changed ($1000) it was far worse and would hardly start.
Dealer’s suggestion? Try driving it hard and not baby it.
Gee thanks Ford.
f450 super duty diesel dually. My business is in jeopardy because of this truck. Fuel injector is out. Ford says there is water in the fuel. this is not so. The truck wont start if it is hot, it has to cool first. There is an oil leak with high pressure. It doesnt cool right. I NEED FORD TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER. I have invested more in repairs than what i bought the truck for. IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY AND YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR BUSINESS BUY A 6.0. I need in on the lawsuit and/or info about a lawsuit in TN.
Another sad case of Ford ignoring their problems. I have an 03 f250 with 75,000. Had sputtering problems since 04. Dealer “couldn’t ” identify cause. Multiple times it was in for this problem. No repairs. Now , I am outside extended warranty and truck finally is undriveable. No help from dealer, ford or insurance co. $5,000 later, new turbos, oil cooler. Sign me up.
Ford knew they had a problem . If they would have took care of the cust.they could’ve avoid this suit.stupid is what stupid does
HELP!! We have spent thousands on our truck. I have know faith that it will get us from point A to point B. It’s the worst investment we have ever made. Please tell me what to do to join the class action lawsuit.
I agree. I have a 2010 6.4L. What a pile of TRASH.
FRAD MOTOR COMPANY SHOULD BE RUN OUT OF THE COUNTRY.
YES I DID MEAN FRAD NOT FORD.
SORRY TO SEEM SO BLUNT. MY 2010 F-350 SUPERDUTY 6.4L HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 5 TIMES FOR ECXESSES WHIT/GRAY SMOKE .
THE DEALERSHIP KEEPS TELLING ME THAT THIS IS COMPLETLY NORMAL. MY RESPONSE WAS FOR 1/2 TO 3/4 OF A MILE? EVERYTIME I GET IN IT. NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE PEOPLE BEHIND ME AND WHAT THEY ARE THINKING.
I WONDER HOW E.P.A. WOULD FEEL ABOUT THIS.
I HAVE CALLED FORD CONSUMER SUPPORT AND TAKING THE TRUCK TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED YESTERDAY AND TOLD ME THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS. I TOLD THEM TO KEEP THE TRUCK UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT. IT WASN’T LONG BEFORE I GOT A CALL FROM THE FORD REP. GUESS I WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS NOW.
IT’S A SHAME THEY JUST DON’T SAY WE DON’T KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM.
I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER FORD.
Mr. HENERY FORD WOULD ROLL OVER IN HIS GRAVE IF HE COULD SEE WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO HIS DREAM.
I agree, I have the same ford f-350 2010 6.4 duper duty deisel. What a piece O #%#$.
I bought it brand new in july of 2010., Since then I have had the turbos go out. A defective thermostat on the cooling system go bad causing it to blow the radiator out along with other miscelaneous parts. Right now its in the shop because the starter is out and the breaker plate broke. I still owe thousands on this truck and have put aprox 10k in repairs. Not to mention how much business i have loss due to these break downs. Does anyone know of a class action suite for this motor in Ohio
That smoking is normal, and in fact it was the EPA that made ford put a catch can on the exhaust so I dont think they will listen. When the vehicle is in “regen” mode or under heavy acceleration the exhaust filter heats up and burns off the soot that has accumulated in the filter. This is normal.
It might be normal for ford but all other diesels have the same requirements and you dont see thiem smoking. 18 wheelers have had a burn off for a lot longer and they don’t blow smoke going down the road.
I have an 2005 E350 that is well maintained and just got hit with a $3500 bill to change the high pressure oil pump, cover, and regulater . Internal engine parts that crack from vibration, suonds like a design flaw to me. This is the latest of many major repairs. Due to the cost of this repair I was forced to park this vehicle for more than a year. I thought I paid extra for a diesel because they are strong and long lasting. Want to get involved in any law suit. Any info on how please Email me.
I also own a 2004 Ford f250 turbo diesel crew cab lariat . Recently spent $7200 on repairs they had the truck for 46 days at first could not find problem and then come up with a series of things resulting in replacing head , egr cooler etc etc. This truck is a great looking truck with only 127,000 km on it.
If anyone else who owns a ford with problems please contact me and let me know how to get form to apply for the lawsuit agains ford. I am in Canada so I don’t know if this is the right place to put this complaint. I would appreciate any information anyone can give me.
Thanks Doug
My name is Johnny Pool for Ellisville Mississippi I bought 2006 Ford F-250 9-21-05. When leaving the Ford -Lincoln, Inc on the above date with my New Truck I drove 36 miles and the top end oil pump went out. At that time I had no Idea what happen. Pulled it back to the dealer and it was placed in the shop and the hood was raised.. The man looking at it seem to know what was wrong and he placed a air hose on the right side of the engine and shot air into a line that he had broke loose. The truck then cranked up. He told me that it would be fine, buy doing that, it blew a seal back into place in the top end oil pump. I, being in the tree business, headed back home. This was a little over a month after Katrina hit Mississippi. When leaving, the Truck had a miss and I called the man back and he told me it would clear up that some trash must have got into a injector…Not knowing anything about the engine, I took his word. I went back to my home town where I worked in the Tree Care business and cut trees for the City Of Laurel. Once getting back into Ellisville my home town, only 7 miles from Laurel I hooked up to my trailer and loaded my Cat 277-B skidsteer and headed to Laurel to work clearing Ave & Streets. Once hooking up, the Truck did not have enough power to pull the way I felt it should pull. This truck while pulling would go dead when letting off the fuel and coming to a stop at a red light or stop sign or just slowing for coming up behind another car or truck. I was driving down a drive way leaving a job and while heading down hill, the engine stopped and had no brakes nor could I turn the wheel and my truck left the road with trailer and Cat 277-B behind me and hitting a tree. I messed the front end up bad. Had to have a hood asy, fender asy, deflector, bumper asy, panel, cover, plate-bumper, reinforcement, headlamp asy, decal and strip cost $3304.58 and while my truck was at the Dealer having the front end fix they replaced the High Pressure oil pump that went out causing me to crash my truck. Got my truck out now missing weeks of work down time, I left headed back to work and the same old thing happening, truck would not pull, it was missing all over again. Took it back and the check engine light was on and found that the so called tbs followed the fsb failed. They replaced the CAC tube let set over night to see if it would crank. I was called to come after it the next day. Pick truck up headed home it is still missing and I’m sick of this now. Every thing I ask about this truck I was told a good story. Getting back to Laurel, kept working trying to catch up on behind work losing contracts after contact.. Now, the trucks goes dead again, taking it to Laurel Ford, another oil pump was placed and 4 injectors and picked it up and drove it and it had a miss but not as bad, seem to me it was one injector missing. Called them and I was told to drive it that it would probably clear up. That Sunday I took my Father to a Air Show in Meridian, Mississippi, only 56 miles away from home, and coming back the truck engine locked up and steam came rolling out the back of truck, had no idea what was wrong. Had it pulled back to Laurel and left it at Laurel Ford. The following Monday went by and I was told the Oil water cooler went out. Down again for over a week because nothing in stock, had to order. It was replaced along with more injectors. Before leaving the ford place, I ask about the injectors and told HIM I was told all should have been replaced, He said they didn’t have enough in stock to replace all. I told him I had to head to Tenn with my family and I was going to drive and he told me once getting back to bring it back he would replace the rest. Went to Tenn (truck ran like crap at higher elevations) and truck missing there and back no power what so ever and drank some fuel. When returning, went to the Ford Company in Laurel and told them I wanted the other injector placed and I was informed my warranty was out and I had the extended warranty and was told it would not cover…Lie after Lie…Leaving going home trying to work and this truck running really bad. Then here we go again…The fickle goes out., side the road again. Pull it to shop and have it replaced couple of grand, get the truck and it would not pull a knife out of hot butter. So, it was re-program ed and it held some not what it should have been. Go home and pulling in the drive way it goes dead. I try cranking it, no start..I called the guy he told me to let it cool then try starting it. I did, let it sit all night. Get up and try cranking the truck and all it would do is spin. Take it back and the top end oil pump again., more injectors. It’s back running, work some and it’s down again with the low end oil pump going out. Take it back to the shop and the low end oil pump was placed. Check this out after getting the oil cooler replaced you could not drive pulling a load without the water boiling out, it busted my fluid take and can’t place the cap on the way it should be or it will split the coolant reservoir and they didn’t know what caused that…Any way, get the low end pump placed and leave and running the same and then the top end oil pump goes out again, man puts oil pump in and cranks engine and it awful, having to replace 4 injectors and glow plug. Now here we go again, come winter time below 55 degrees this truck will not even think about cranking even placing 4 heaters on the engine and it will not crank and run the way it should and If it cranks it sounds metal to metal…I have a stack of tickets and what I’ve spent and with down time I’ve lost close to 3/4 of million dollars if not more. I can not even think of going out of town to work storms because this truck will not get me home or it will kill me or someone. Over the years I have ask and ask how can a working man get screwed by Ford and nothing be done about it. Now I find out something can be done and I call a lawyer about it, and have heard nothing back from him…I need to work and Don’t have the money to buy a new truck..I’m a country boy down south in Mississippi that has got screw by FORD.

There is so much more that has happen that I didn’t tell. So many places I have gone and the engine will stop running and have to sit tile it cools off before cranking and this is not counting the times the engine went dead and would not start back.
I just had my 2005 6.0 repaired at Ford. I bought after market high tempered (2200 degree) head studs rather than the Ford 1 time use stretching head bolt. I also had an after market EGR delete kit installed. At the same time I had the fuel filters changed, and the Oil cooler replaced. Replaced 1 injector, flush cooling system. My head gaskets had blown. I did everything so that hopefully this will never happen again. As far as I know there has been only one class action lawsuit by a law firm in N.Y. for an ambulance company. I live in Florida, and was told that these type lawsuits are handled by Attorneys in each state. I cannot find anything for this in the state of Florida.
I have been a ford man for 35 years, but after owning a 6.0 diesel, i will not buy another ford. $7500 in repairs this year alone. ( Three break downs while traveling across country, stranded in the middle of nowhere) It saddens me to leave ford. If ford had any care for their customers, they would suck it up, and give people their money back. I bought a Dodge diesel.
Please send me information to join this suit.
How can we join this lawsuit? I also own a 6.0 04 F350, I have all the same issues as all the previous comments. I’m waiting to hear from the local Ford service Dept. on the price of repair, Hydrolocked Engine. Ford, we have all paid you a hefty price for these trucks, you know of all the issues stand up and do the right thing. Send a message to all of us that your company will stand behind there product.
2006 ford f 450. Worst nightmare i have ever owned. In the shop over 40 times. spent at least 10k out of my pocket. not counting down time. This was my work truck. Not only that but I was treated like it was my fault that this peace of crap didnt run properly.
My 2005 Excursion with the 6.0 has 84k miles and has been meticulously maintained and I’ve even installed a coolant filter and Amsoil bypass oil filter. I’ve had 4 injectors go out, EGR cooler, oil cooler, STC fittings failed and almost killed me and my family because it would stall under decel. I love my Excursin but $8500 in repairs in 13 months is absurd. It’s time to go back to Toyota and please contact me about the classaction lawsuit, I’d love to recoup some of my hard earned money.
Please include me in this class action lawsuit. I own a 2004 Ford F350 Powerstroke 6.0. All the same issues as noted in the posts above, including a new transmission, plus now after only owning it 7 months…engine, oil pressure pumps and etc. etc. etc…….the bills are piling up…and I have no truck to drive. Thanks.
Everyday we fix 6.0 trucks. Many times the mechanic is the problem more then the engine. They don’t know how to fix them and it doesn’t seem like ford tech lines either. I have purchased several 6.0 trucks that had supossed bad motors and shops wants tens of thousands of dollars to fix and we repair them for a few hundred and they run for ever. Today I fixed a 6.0 that the customer was quoted $5,000 by two different shops to fix. I charged him $300. Find the right mechanic and you will love your 6.0.
Where or how do I find these mechanics. Just received a $2000 quote. I’ve enjoyed my 2005 f250 6.0l but I’m having issues now. 162,000 miles. It’s starts real rough in cold with black smoke and then white. Runs fine once warmed up. I don’t want to join a class action if it can be fixed.
Jeremy, I have a small leak of antifreeze running down the back of the motor. Can I continue to drive this truck as long as I keep the antifreeze in it? The Ford Dealership told me it would cost 5k to 6k to fix and I shouldn’t drive it. What can I do? Thanks for anyones help.
Jeremy, you are absolutly correct. Alot of techs and advisers do not know how they work. Been working on these engines from beginning they are good if right people working on them.
Mike, not good to run for long could do engine damage.
Jeremy if your in wisconsin and want to work on my 2006 thats been sitting in my other driveway for 2 years cuz i dont dare drive it.this time i was told its the inner water cooler and fuel mod.I would pay for you to fix it in a nice big heated garage with all the tools.ps i have 2 1999 f250 and f350 with the 7.3 that ill take any were
How can we contact you?
where are y0u located? Ive had major breakdowns and huge repair costs ,,,, first one at 85k ford covered under original warranty…i purchased truck new in Dec of 2004, but mine is a 2005 4×4 crew larriat F350…..the second was 104k and costs $4,500. included egr delete, oil pump, head studs, head gasket, glow plugs, injectors. only for it to blow up again two weeks and less than 1000 miles since repair.. told me it was bn ad turbo, and would be another 2500 to 3500 for this and that it wasnt due to something he had not done properly only two week earlier…most likely total bs…. ended up saying that turbo was fine, and i had a bad exhaust valve in the #1 cylinder. and had blown the head gasket again,,,,paid him another 2,400.. with only appox. 4000k miles since last repair, approx six months…. motor started running roughly, but after shutting down and restarting ran smoothly ,,,,but that was very short change ,,,drove only a mile or less and began really rough running and as i stopped at a stop sign ,, motor quit,, i tried restarting and it turned over a few times and engine seemed to lock up…. like starter hit a brick wall with… 2 brand new batteries ….. so its fair to say i feel f//cked.,,, had my father come with his truck and tow chain and drug it to his house…. have any suggestions.. short of fire, sawing a huge pine tree down on it. Its been by far worst vehicle i ever owned….please advise if you know what it sounds like …. located in NW gulfcoast area of Florida… very remote and 75 miles from any major city or Ford dealership
Had an 06 6.0L Power Stroke that I took to 104k miles with no problems. Loved the truck and the way it pulled. EDUCATED myself on the operating systems and the known issues and addressed them. Had a great truck! These aren’t 7.3s folks. Got to keep on top of maintenance.
Just wait 10k more, you will be in the same boat as everyone else on here. Seriously!
i haven”t even gotten a mile for every dollar spent of repairs and maintenance.. Your comment seems to blame all on this blog including myself .. with not doing maintenance or “keeping on top” of it.. I’m surprised that you haven’t blasted for saying such a stupid suggestion to folks that have had such a horrible ordeal with these “pos” piece of sh/t ford products and having spent as much as i have on properly caring for it….. go f…ck yourself and your comment….you probably work for ford or own their stock.
I have a 2007 F250 superduty truck was made aug.2007 it has 28k on it babyd but drivin hard. So far I have replaced 2 alt. Rear main seal, head gaskets,2 turbos, oil cooler egr cooler, 2 fuel sending unit sensors,2 sets of batterys witch is normal. I might as well have put a tuner on it. Idn bout about this truck??
i am a owner of a 2007 f450 witch i bought new. i’ve had nothing but problems from this 6.0 since day one ford replaced egr 3 times then replaced heads due to blown head gaskets a year ago. 4 months ago replaced the short block now im down again with this cash sucking cow sitting in my yard the truck now has a lil over a 100,000 miles on it & i want in on this suit how do i go about doing so please help & inform me thanks
i am a mechanic in the small town of bremond and i also own a 06 ford 6.0 and it is junk i work on it all the time think god i am a mechanic but parts are high as a giraffe alone i done put egr delete 1st time then high pressure oil pump 2nd then the oil cooler 3rd now the head gaskets are blown and i am a mechanic so i parked it and jumped back in my 1985 CHEVY but in the small town there is probably 40 other ones and the peoplebring them seems like every other day with something different if i can help or get in on the lawsuit i will do anything because i got a junk pile setting in my back yard. i am tired of working on 6.0s
I have a International 4300 Tow truck…isnt this the same motor? I have an excessive amount of repairs from day one..injectors, turbo, high pressure oil pump and repeat…every 3 months…hmmm…if anyone knows if this is the same motor I would love to be part of this as lemon laws do not exist in Illinois for commercial vehicles.
Call Piscitelli Law Firm @800-931-7071. They are in Cleveland, Ohio and are pursuing a national class action lawsuit. I live in Idaho and could not find a lawsuit in Idaho so I did a search in Google until I came across Piscitelli. The last time I talked to them the attorneys were doing the discovery portion of the lawsuit so i have no idea how much longer it will take. Williams Ambulance in Texas settled a class action suit in Texas with Ford over the 6.0 Powerstroke. Give them a call and get on the list.
I am interested in joining this class action lawsuit. I have two F250 (2003 and 2006) and have experienced multiple problems with each. Oil coolers, EGR coolers, high pressure oil system, FICM and the list goes on. Nothing is covered by Ford. My 2006 is in the shop as I type, yes again. The oil cooler went out on the 2006. We couldn’t even get the part from Ford. Rather we had to go with an after market solution ($2500). Now I am looking at an addition $1000 or more, to get the oil cooler fixed. The FICM unit cost was $1900. This is just on the 2006 F250. on the 2003, we have had the ECU failure ($1900), ECG cooler failure ($2300), injector control sensor (replaced ourself, $300). My son, is the owner of this truck. He is a college student who can’t afford this kinda of expense, but also can’t trade the truck off or sale it without a huge lose. I have always been a Ford supporter. Both my husband and I always bought Fords. I haven’t even listed all the expenses in repairs on both these trucks. It just makes me sick! This has caused me to seriously rethink why!!! Right now, we have 2003 Explore that just went down due to transmission (140K) and I am looking at replacing it with a Toyota, not a Ford. I can’t afford this. Our savings is completely gone. You can’t get anything out of Ford, except these are known issues with the 6.0. That does absolutely nothing for my family. Very interested in participating in the suit. Please advice.
Mine is at Perry Ford in Poway for the second blown head gasket etc. at 46,850 on the odometer. The first time only had 21,500. If I could get Ford to buy it back I’d do it in a heart beat. They fixed it the first time under warranty and I beleive I had 16 days left when I dropped it off on Monday. I expect it to go again as I have lost faith in seeing a long life out of this engine.
I have had my turbo replaced 4 x, my injectors I don’t know how many times. One of the times had my truck towed into the dealer. The dealer asked me if that was my truck comming in on the tow truck. I told him that it was the only way it got from one place to another. My air conditioning has gone out twice. I wrote ford motor corp. and never heard anything back. My husband bought me a New 2006 King Ranch Super Duty Truck to travel with my horses with. My truck has around 50,000 miles on it and I am afraid to go anywhere in it. I am so Unhappy. My neighbor has a 2006 fjord diesel truck to. When he tells me something goes out I on I can expect in a week the same thing will happen with mine. I hope you can do something about this. Everyone I know that has a 2005-2006 truck has the same problem. If you talk to the fjord mechanics at the dealers they will tell you these trucks are a problem and there is nothing they can do about it. My truck just sits in my drive way most of the time. Very Sad my husband tried to do something so nice for me and we both regret the choice to go ford
I’m going to skip the details but to say I have a 2006 F-350 6.0L with 12,000 miles on it and six turbos to date. How do I determine if I am eligible to participate in this suit being in Connecticut and if so what is the procedure?
Thank you.
2005 F350 6.0L
Bad deal. Repairs had to be made by a shop other than Ford dealer. Thousands lost, and now resale is not an option. Ford tough in used resale form is no where I mean no where close to what the competition is worth used. GM/Dodges are $10,000 more for the same optioned truck, same miles.
For those of you who have decided to fix the trucks, and are looking for advise on an internet forum, good luck.
These people on the sites are a joke, and will play internet tough guy,and tell you how all your problems ARE ALL YOUR FAULT.
These internet tough guys are insulting, jerks and will help you spend LOADS of your cash just to spend more later on,because its your fault.
Good luck with the law suit and if I can come on board I WILL!
told my 2005 f250 6.Ol HAS FAULTY INJECTORS AND WILL BE A VERY PRICEY FIX IS THIS COVERED UNDER SUIT, I HAVE ONLY 60K ON TRUCK.
I have a 04 F-250 with 211,900 miles on it and have blown $7,000 on it so far and it still needs work which I can’t afford now. Don’t get me wrong I love the truck it’s the junk 6.0 that I hate. I don’t care what people say you cannot fix a 6.0 for $300, the parts alone cost more than 300. I’m trying to get rid of this truck but have had no luck nobody wants it on trade because of the 6.0. So now I’m planing on putting a cummins in it as soon as I can get the money to do so.
what a piece of junk these engines are .My 04 250 has had all of the above mentioned problems . ford is a joke but in these difficult times you would think they would try and help us loyal ford fans out. My ford is in my driveway broken again and when I get it fixed it will be parked in the showrm of my nearest dealer . Please include me in the law suit . self employed and starving here please help………….
my turbo went out in my 2004 f250 6.0 diesel in 2005 and also my injectors had to be replaced. i had to replace the solenoids in my transmission. my most recent trouble have been my head gaskets and EGR cooler went out about 2 months ago and now my high and low volume oil pumps went out. it has cost me $6500 from my head gaskets i do not abuse my truck at all. she is the orange and black harley davidson edition. is this how i get signed up on the class action lawsuit?
I bought my first new truck , a 2005 F250 6.0 Deisel…I loved Ford trucks..What a mistake loyalty is. The first repair was $365.00 at 39,000 miles for a new electronic vacumn pump . The second repair was $1507.00 for injectors # 2 and 8 at 106,000 miles. The third was $2545.00 for injectors # 1,3,5 and 7 and a EGR valve at 125,000 miles. It all included three TOW jobs and RENTAL cars since I only have one vehicle. Less than two weeks after the last repair the truck won’t start and is on its way back to the Ford shop again..With all my matainence always performed on schedule , my next call is to a lawyer to join the class action lawsuit…..Maybe the other truck companys are right since FORD refuses to reach out to its LOYAL customers who are stuck in this……
Hello my name is Patricia Hill,
I have a F350 super yr 2004
I had to take my truck to be fixed at Ulliston Ford 2330 Highway 40 East Kingsland GA 31548. When I picked it up the man told me that I did not need all this work done on it and it should have only cost me $250.00 but since he misdiagnosed it the first time he had already charged me $2,936.47. I travel for a living so that week I ended up leaving and going to Rome GA and the truck didnt even work for a whole week when it broke down again. I took it to a Ford dealership there and they told me that the other dealership i took it to the first time didnt even fix the problem the truck was having and that they could see where they only did half the job. I need my truck because i have no other vehicle and no way to get around where I need to go. I have a daughter in Kingsland GA who is due any day now and im really upset because I will have no way down there when she goes into labor. Im asking you to please help me either get my money back for a job they didnt even finish or help me get my car fixed. Thank you and please get back to me as soon as you can. now no work was done to it … I now have to pay out $3,2oo .00 more …

EGR Cooler; is costing me more than this stupid truck. shame on FORD Motor company. Avoid FORD
I own, or should I say, am still paying on my 2005 F250 with a 6.0. I bought this truck used from a local dealer in TX and drove it about 2 weeks before it had to have the head gaskets changed out. Since then it has been a slippery slope downhill with 2 EGR valves replaced, 3 alternators, FICM replaced, and several batteries. Among other things, I am now out of a vehicle again after having it towed to a dealer and am informed that it needs another FICM and a HPOP because of low oil pressure. Please let me in on this Class Action Suit. I will join forces against Ford to help us live a life without worrying about “how far will my truck go before I’m stuck on the side of the road again” feeling. I am a working man that depends on his truck to pay the bills, but the bills keep coming for a truck that is supposed to help me pay my bills to live.
Cutting to the chase, I have spent more money on my 2005 6.0 F250 than I have paid on it. Several things that keep repeating itself not to mention the countless hours of work I miss not having a truck to drive. I currently have my truck back in the shop waiting on another FICM replacement and a HPOP. I am sick of this money sucking Ford and definately want in on this class action suit.
’04 powerJOKE. EGR cooler, oil cooler, studs, and gaskets. 5K+ @ 80K miles. First and last Ford. You proud Ford owners claim that Ford is #1 and they didn’t need a goverment hand out are wrong. Ford was ripping off their customers by sending them into their repair shops and charging us out of pocket for their fouled up junk.
Same problem as everyone else turbo, egr, injectors, fuel pump, and so on they bought back my first pile of SHIT only to give me another one . I’m in for the lawsuit been stranded one two many times . 2007 37000 miles In the shop six plus times
FOLLOW up on my january 22 POST….Tow back to the dealer for a new oil pump replacement for $1100.00 and they also found a bad FICM filter valve to replace for $850.00…I have joined the Class action lawsuit and will dump this truck as soon as it gets home from the RIP OFF FORD DEALER in Vineland N.J.
I PURCHASED A NEW 06 FORD POWER STROKE FROM THE LOCAL FORD DEALER HERE IN SW MISSOURI. I REALLY LIKE THE TRUCK BUT DISLIKE THE PROBLEMS WITH THE 6.0 POWER STROKE ENGINE. THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE TRUCK AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE–$43000. PLUS WITH THE WARRANTY . THE FUEL MILEAGE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE–9 TO 10 MPG. AT16772 MILES THE FORD DEALER REMOVED AND REBUILT THE TURBOCHARGER BECAUSE IT WAS STICKING. THIS WEEK I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK TO THE FORD DEALER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM POOR MILEAGE AND ENGINE LIGHT ON. THE TRUCK NOW HAS 34,000 MILES ON THE ENGINE AND THE SERVICE MANAGER AND DIESEL TECHNICIAN SAYS THE TURBO NEEDS TO BE REMOVED AND REBUILT. FORD DEALER WANTS $1458 PLUS LABOR FOR REBUILT FORD (GARRETT) PART. THE DEALER SERVICE MANAGER SAYS THE TURBO VANES HAVE SEIZED. HE INDICATES THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT COMES INTO THE SHOP WEEKLY. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. I HAVE BEEN A FORD GUY FOR A LONG TIME BUT MUST CONSIDER OTHER BRANDS NOW.
I grew up in a “Ford” family, it was all we ever owned, drove, hell even rented. In July ’05 I bought an ’05 F-350 4×4 Crew Cab. Truck ran well for 68k, then all hell broke loose! It’s been in the dealer for numerous repairs under the diesel engine warranty, a total of seven (7) weeks to replace multiple EGR valves, EGR cooler, oil cooler, low pressure oil pump, turbo, multiple injectors at various times. Out of the bumper the bumper warranty it has also had a new 6-speed manual transmission and clutch replacement at $5500 parts and labor. The big money expenses came just out of the diesel engine warranty. Since 103,000 miles I’ve had to replace head gaskets twice now, oil and EGR coolers again, completely rebuild the high pressure oil system and have the FICM repaired. I’ve been without the truck nine (9) weeks for out of warranty engine repairs and am approaching $4000 in engine repair parts and $7000 in labor, with the truck sitting at just under 130,000 miles.
Considering the premium I paid for the diesel engine which is supposed to have been more capable and more durable, this surpasses rediculous. For all intents and purposes diesels in similar trucks from Dodge and GM, as well as the older engines from Ford that this unit replaced are known to perform at near their delivered outputs for 300,000-400,000 miles reliably, this engine struggles to achieve a modest fraction of that. After all the repair expenses, I could have bought a V10 and would be serious money ahead even with the crappy fuel economy they get. I even looked into selling this truck to buy a V10, but the V10s are commanding more than the diesels around here right now truck for truck mile for mile.
I want in on any class action pending in California over these issues.
Bought a new 2005 in Aug 04, new head gaskets, EGR, Oil cooler, IDM, Injectors, cam timing sensor (still has the same leak since new), differential problems, you name it, bought every extended warranty available including the 200,000 mile POS and still had to pay for my own IDM and injectors. My truck is maintained by myself and my personal ASE certified mechanic mostly, would not care to have the Stealership do anything more than maybe wash it. 68 years old, sold, bought and still race a Ford and have never been so disappointed and aprehensive about a vehicle in my life. Oh, and it has a whopping 80K pampered miles on it and what a mistake.

Does anyone know how to get involved with the Tennessee class action suit? I see that other states have lawsuits, but it doesn’t seem to make sence to hire an out of state attorney. Thanks for the help!
Currently trouble shooting issue. Have replaced egr cooler already!! Truck running rough and there are no DTC’s. Currently running rough until warm. Feels like it’s missing. Fuel economy is terrible (from what it used to be). just hit 100K miles, 2005 F250 King Ranch, PSD.
I have had vacuum pump issues, fuel pump issues, EGR issues and now I am afraid that I have injector issues.
This was not an inexpensive truck!!!!!!
I found this site to get some info on the lawsuit. I also own a 2004 f350 POS. It is in the shop with massive repair problems stemming from the crap ass fuel tank, to band injectors all the way to a bad high pressure oil pump and toasted EGR.
Has anyone had issues with the gas motor? I have a f350 which has just blown through its 2nd motor! Ford replaced the first after ALOT of B.S. Now its 4 months out of warrenty and they want $7000 to fix. The authorized ford dealer basically said S.O.L. All the lawsuits seem to be for the diesel. I was a Ford man…..never again!
I have a ford f 250 6.0 diesel 2003 which I purchased new and is not running and has cost me $1000’s of dollars in repairs. It has left me on the side of the road and off job sites many ,many times costing me time and money.I will have to sell the hunk of crap for scrap because the 6.0 has such a terrible reputation. This is the worse truck I have ever owned. Ford is a joke and should be sued to death.

I have a 2004 f250 and in the past 3 years I have had it the shop ever six months changing 1 to 2 injectors. The injectors are horrible. I have put so money into fixing this truck. Ford should have did something for the people who bought these trucks. Can I get in on this lawsuit. This truck is becoming a money pit.
are you handeling Ford diesel 6.0 class action suit
I have a 2004 F250 6.0 lot of problems not sure how many times the the engine cooler was replaced. Two years ago on my way to colorado lots three injectors and fuel pump according to the Pueblo colorado Ford diesel mechanic had it repaired there 3800 bucks drove it less than 150 miles through Denver three more injectors went out Dropped it off with aFord Dealer problem was a poor was pressure regulator that ford new it had a problem with another 3400 bucks today the high pressure oil pump went out another problem ford knows it had with the 2004 . I have always like ford products and have the 2011 ford f250 diesel which so far have not had aproblem with yet.. i admired Ford for not taking the bailout and believ in their products but I think Ford knows it had a severe problem with the 6.0 and I believe they have an obligation the help right the problem

I own a 2004 F-350 6.0 and a 2005 excursion 6.0, I just retired out of USN in San Diego Ca.and my F-350 just blew the EGR cooler and the oil cooler I live in Truckee Ca. and will have to rent a car to drive myself and all my gear home, while under warranty 3 egr’s two turbos 1 intake and 1 injector and transmission, now my dime egr cooler and oil cooler and maybe head gaskets, I only have 69,658 miles on It, now 05 Excursion has 91,k on her and engine dies on decell once a week, some one will die someday and FORD say that they cant find anything wrong aftre 5 tows to the dealer and 3500.00 out of pocket, Ford needs to nut up and fix them….
I have a 2006 Ford 6.o turbo diesel King Ranch. I paid a small fortune and have been plagued with problems from the beginning. Have replaced the EGR valve four times. Just replaced the ficm. Egr valve goes out about every six months. the FICM was a hugely expensive repair. My truck is kept in impeccable condition and with less than 75,ooo miles is now quite unreliable. How do we Pennsylvania owners become part of any class action lawsuit or how to we force Ford Motor Company to take responsibility for an engine , by their own admission and lawsuits against Navistar, that is plaged with mechanical problems. Please advise.
I own a 2010 F-450, 6.4L, my truck runs great, when it runs. I first year was great. All my friends told me to sell it, quick, or I would be sorry. I DIDN’T LISTEN!!! First time down it was an oil leak from the turbo. the repairs were under warrant. Repair cost $ 0, down time 9 days, cost to my business 4,000.00 dollars. Second time down was a front cover leak of water into the oil and ford found a hidden code telling them the high pressure fuel pump was bad. I begged ford to fix my as fast as they can, because I was loaded and needed not to loose any more money. Ford fix my truck in 36hrs and 4100.00 later. Third time down the exhaust over heated and shut the truck down, so Ford said at the time, but didn’t know how to fix it. It happened again 10 days later, on the truck scales, after being pushed off by the CHP, I sat for 40 minutes, it restarted. I went under the truck and KICKED the exhaust muffler and it’s worked fine after that, so far. My forth time down is the straw that broke the camel’s back. I was on my biggest delivery job ever. 4 days into 12 day deal when it happen again. The front cover that houses the water pump leaked into the oil AGAIN!!! . Ford also found an exhaust leak around the turbo, a leak in the raditor, a transmission line leaking, and a bad turbo. Price 5,800+, down time, 10 days and counting, amount of money loss from work, PRICELESS. (12,000.00 DOLLARS AND COUNTING) You know that makes it worse, the mechanic requested a new motor, at ford’s expence, because of the defective parts and the water getting into the oil (lots of water). Ford decided to help pay for some of the repair, instead. The mechanic said the motor will not last long, due to the water damage to the bearing and piston cylinder walls. bottom line, the mechanic said all these problems are common!! THANKS FORD!!
I have a 2004 Ford F350 with 39K miles. I have replaced the head studs with ERP and new head gaskets, new turbo, new everything imaginable and the dealer can’t figure out why it has low boost and slow at start. I have spent like over $10K and no fix.
I too have a 2004 F-350 6.0 Turbo Diesel, it was known as my Dreamboat, but has since become my Barge of Nightmare. This was the 1st Brand New vehicle I ever owned and probably the last, at least with used you expect to have some repairs but at least you still have money in your pocket. This truck only has 55K miles on it and it’s been parked for almost a year and a half. The 1st of the troubles started on the 6-lane highway when I was between 2 rigs I started hearing a strange thumping noise which I couldn’t tell at first was me until one of the rigs moved away, only to realized it was my Turbo backfiring and at that moment the engine light came on. By the time I was safe enough to call my husband for help who was over an hour away, my hands were numb from fear. We have spent numerous visits to the dealer replacing turbo controls, computer updates, EGR valves- each of these twice -The dealership and Ford keep telling us that this is what was wrong with it and that I am good to go. Only to get to drive about 60 miles before it all started again. I can not push it over 1500 RPM or it starts its backfiring again; needless to say the engine light is back on too. I have nearly saved enough to purchase a new turbo and EGR Cooler unit. Only to discover from this site and my fellow Ford owners who have suffered the same fates; I now realize I haven’t saved enough yet because I’m now adding the Head Bolt Set and Oil Cooler to the shopping list. There isn’t enough room to describe how WRONG this is to all of us FORD OWNERs. I want my truck back, don’t need a 1-ton paper weight.
I have a 2005 f450, I love everything about the truck except the motor! at 68 k the egr cooler went out. Ford repaired forthe $100 DEDEUCT, 1 week later motor went bad, Ford short blocked it replacing all of the motor except drivers side head. this new motor at time I was told was 2 yr unlimited miles. at 144k the motor died again, throwing a connecting rod out the side of the block. (this doesn’t happen with these motors, the mostly fail upperhalf) Ford has my truck 77 days, bickering and argueing back and forth, they refused to send engineer out to look at motor. It had 5 new injectors in it which were under the 12 month 12,000 mile warranty (thought maybe injector hydrolocked) But yet ford wouldn’t do anything, except offer me est of $16000 TO INSTALL NEW MOTOR! I want in, this truck being down 77 days cost me and my business majorly. Ford had all types of excuses but NEVER even bothered to look to confirm or deny claim. Please send me info to become part of this suit for Iowa. Thanks
I would like to be included in this lawsuit for pennsylvania, please contact me on how to go about this or should I acquire my own lawyer?
Thanks d.mcnicholl (doire5@comcast.net)
Help… I am in British Columbia in Canada, Bought a 2003 6.0L two years ago with 165,000km on it. At 149,000 the engine blew for the original owner… In March 2009 he took it to Kamloops Ford and they put in a ‘new’ factory long block… It came with a warranty… Then I bought the truck, 1st mistake?. Shortly after I got it, the FICM went… $1100… Other that that it has been a good truck, I thought… 2 days ago when returning from grocery store, I noticed a noise that sounded like a skicky lifter… just wanting to get home I idled the few blocks I needed to go. As I turned up my street I needed to accelerate to go up the hill, the noise got louder… Suddenly it was like someone jammed a stick in the flywheel… The engine stopped and I rolled to the side of the road. A nice couple in a Toyota 4×4 stopped and hooked a chain on and towed my F350 to my house. I put my code reader on it and there are no codes, before it stopped I watched the oil pressure and it never faultered, no idiot lights or any other indication of trouble. Now when I turn on the key all seems normal, injectors buzz up and it seems like it should just start. BUT it will not turn over. SO I went back to Kamloops Ford with the invoices for the engine replacement($16,000.00), and FICM replacement($1100.00), only to be told there is no more warrany on it, only 2 years on the engine, it is over 2 years but only 35,000km on it. Spoke with the mechanic that replaced engine, he says it might be cylinder hydraulicing?. Says injector goes bad and spews fuel into cylinder which causes engine to stall…it was running at about 1500RPM when it stalled. If I let it sit a while and turn key quickly bypassing glow plug time, it turns over a few degrees. Before I take to Ford and give them a blank cheque, has anyone else experienced this or know anything about this condition?
I believe Ford has a very serious problem with the 6.0. Not only does it not hold up but when you try to trade one off even the Ford Dealers discount the trucks 5,000 dollars below what Book value is. The Consumers have been totally abused by what Ford did putting this motor on the market.
I own a Ford F250 SuperDuty with the piece of shit 6.0L engine. I have spent over $5000 in the last 2 months getting it repaired. I have had the EGR problems and had white smoke pouring out of my tailpipes and had it die. It had too be towed in. They had to replace the control module, egr valve etc. Got it back and had an oil leak. They tell me it was another valve that needed too be replaced. Then last week I was driving home from work and it died in rush hour traffic and I had to try and steer it with no power steering into a parking lot and almost hit a lady in another car. It had too be towed again. Ford had to replace the oil pump and gasket, along with other valves because it wouldnt build oil pressure. Meanwhile i am racking up thousands of dollars in bills and lost time at work with no vehicle. Please let me know how I get in on this lawsuit. I have owned Ford trucks in the past and had no issues but this will keep me from buying another one.
I own a 2007 F-550 that has turned into trash. Basically, in 2007 I decided to add 2 new trucks to my fleet. I bought a 2007 F-250 Lariat and the bought a 2007 F-550, both with the 6 liter. I was excited because after 15 years in the business I was no longer having to buy old trucks. Well, I ran both trucks along with some my older trucks i already had and they were doing great “for a while.”. Then the problems began…..
Eventually, I started having problems with the F-250. It began with the EGR valve and other engine repairs before finally coming to the point that I need to have ALL 8 injectors replaced. Well, I was not happy about that, but figured it was a one time deal and wouldnt happen again. No sooner did I say that, one of my crews gives me a call to let me now that my other 2007 (the F-550) was acting up. Well I thought it probably wasn’t anything major due to the fact that my 550 only had 30,000 miles on it. NOPE, the major problems began! Come to find out I was going to need to put 8 injectors in this truck too!! If you have been keeping up, that is 8 injectors in my 250 and then (forgot to tell you this) 2 WEEKS LATER, I put 8 injectors in my 550.
Immediately after all this happened, I sold my F-250 for pennies on the dollar because nobody wants the 6.0 liter engine. Decided I was no longer going to buy a diesel truck from ford for my personal use.
Now, the f-250 is gone and I still own the F-550. After the 550 had the injectors replaced, the problems started coming fast! I ended up having the fuel pump replaced, steering gear box replaced, brake master cylinder, head gasket replaced, EGR valve replaced (TWICE), three of the injectors replaced AGAIN, etc……. Now my truck is currently at the dealership having the fan clutch & two more injectors replaced. Oh, did I tell you that the truck only has 54,000 miles on it now. The math will tell you that most of these issues have happened in the past 24,000 miles. I am replacing injectors about every 8,000 miles! I am still fighting this truck and could tell you many more issues that aren’t included in this.
All that being said, I am desperately trying to figure out what to do with this truck. I paid $51,000.00 for the truck new and I am going to be lucky to get $16,000.00 wholesale for it if I sell. My power train warrany runs out in 13 days, and I really don’t want put any more money into this truck by buying an extended warranty. Although, even if i can’t find a buyer, I WILL NOT own this truck one day over that warranty and sell this piece of junk for whatever I can get.
I have been on the phone with my dealership, and then ford corporate to try and get them to help me. Just feel like I am just spinning my wheels and not getting anywhere. They know they built a crap engine, and they need to man up and start thinking about the hard working Americans that are relying on good trucks to keep us working. This truck is the worst purchase I have ever made for my business, and I am worried that if I keep it much longer, it will destroy my business with repairs cost alone!!
Please do let me know how I can get involved with this suit. We are all hardworking people that are trying to make a living. We need FORD to pay for this and make it right!!!
I hate that for you!

I have a 2004 f250 w/6.0 and I have had it 2+years with repairs done before I bought it of the egr cooler, oil cooler, coolant flush, egr valve, etc.. Since I had it had hpop replaced, ficm repaired, computer replaced, plus all the other things the other owner had done when He had it. I like the truck, but like others it has cut off on me on interstate a few times and I dont drive it on long trips which it should be made for.
I think ford or navistar should replce all things that are problems with this 6.0 heavy duty engine.
Feb 15-2012
Just put a new motor in my 07- 550 Two months ago it was egr and turbo and now new motor This truck has cost me in excess of $15,000 the past 3 months. I have always been a ford truck driver but after all these problems at 100,000 miles this will be my last one. I will not defend ford ever again. They new this motor was faulty but pushed it the door. In my opinion ford is practicing deceptive and dishonest trade practices and should have to reimburse everybody that has had problems with these 6.0. Ford’s engineers were very aware of their head stud issue and many other issues with this motor yet they still chose to sell it to the public. I am a business owner and I have to abide by the law and if I practice deceptive trade practices, I go to jail.
I have a 06 king ranch f250 in the past year, head gaskets, injectors, trans, fuel pump, and now high pressure oil pump, and I only have just rolled 110,000 what’s going on ford, can I get in on this?

I bought a ford focus from Hamad M. Al Wazzan & Partners in Kuwait at December 2007 and it was a good & nice car .
But in the med of 2010 when it was still under the agency warranty I faced a problem which is :
D13 POWERTRAIN – ENGINE IDLES ROUGH & SHUTING OFF WHILE APPLYING BRAKE DURING DRIVING .
And the agency workshop took the car and did some thing then return it back to me after days But from the date to this day the same problem repeated 8 times without any fundamental solution .
I am almost to touch on accident many times because of the
suddenly shouting down on the street with freezing of steering wheel.
I am disappointed now because my car come to my life story and no body can repair it and I am lost any chance to sale it because of it’s bad history.
I am sorry to say that but for me as a customer , this problem is look like a scandal for the BIG company like FORD.
(( I like the FORD car but after that I am will not do it again any more and all the people I met them in the work or cafe or etc… got a negative view about the FOCUS car .
please If anybody can help to take a sires action to solve situation I will be appreciate for.
Regards
2003 F-350 I had to have used 6.0 installed because other motor was completely destroyed by broken injector 123ooo miles. Will never buy FORD product again. I live in Washington St. is there a lawsuit I can be involved in ? Ford must be forced to do something !!!! Please let me know how to get in on lawsuit. Thanks John
I had an 05 f250, Harley , after $5000 in repairs within 3 months, I was afraid to drive it. Traded in on a Raptor. Hope I can recover some of the repair cost. Of course, Ford Dealer told me there wasn’t any complaints on that engine. Ha
I have a 2003 F350 crew cab long bed with the 6.0 Turbo diesel. I have had injector problems, high pressure oil pump problems, egr problems, and now the second motor with water in the Cylinders. I have a vehicle that I can’t afford and I can’t sell.
I own a 2003 f350 crew cab long bed duelly with a 6.0 Turbo diesel
motor. Since 2009 I have had numerous problems with this motor. I can’t keep it running long enough to get it sold. I have had egr problems, injector problems, high pressure oil pump problems, motor replacement, and now water in the cylinders. Possible head gasket failure.
I want in too. Had my 06 for 2 yrs, over 45,000 in repairs. I have no interest in listing all the faulty components. My business has failed due solely to this pos ford product. And to the toolbag that blames the consumer instead of the manufacturer, let me tell you something hoss, I have had that turd in every ford dealership from here to pa to az to mn, and not one of those dealerships your suckin off have told me any of the “proper maintenance” procedures. And if you haven’t noticed d-bag, YOU are the one and only person in this forum who hasn’t had issues with your truck, so keep your dumb a$$ opinions to yourself cuz the rest of us have lost alot of money on junk product ford cheerleader
i have the same issues as mentioned . Ford should be held accountable !!!
You know… none of us may ever be compensated for the headaches and agony this product has caused. I’m sure not counting on it! Mine is sitting with a broken snap ring in the transmission, injector failures, high pressure oil (o-ring problems) and several other issues! I’ve already went through the hpop, egr, oil cooler, ficm, turbo ,o-ring failures everywhere! and have become a decent 6.0 mechanic as I wouldn’t-couldn’t.. pay outside sources their rates for fixing something that was gonna break again in quickly. Now I’m really sick of spending money and time on it…. so I guess I have a flower planter that probably has 60-70 thousand bucks dumped in it! been a Ford guy my whole life… I will never own another Ford! Most people that race or use a truck for work, farm etc… already know… Ford really hurt their reputation on this one! I was proud of them on the bail out deal… but then lost all respect for them on this.. They should be ashamed of their selves..
And to you mechanics who want to blame us guys who repair our stuff after the warranty ran out…BS! head gaskets, oil coolers failing, injectors and o-rings got NOTHING to do with replacing it after it failed! Everything I have replaced.. hasn’t failed again.(yet) So I guess if i replace the HPOP with a better one cuz it failed after the dealer replaced it … and the head gasket blows a Month later… it’s my fault? really? I’m sure you guys love this truck! every-time one comes to the door.. it’s a rent and snap-on payment!. Like I said.. most of us who own these trucks race, farm, work construction and know our way around a wrench and aren’t afraid to ask questions.

I purchase a new 2005 F350 4×4 Loaded with all whisels and bells. At 4400 miles my turbo blew up on a Sunday at 630pm, left me stranded on the road in south Texas. I called ford and it took 5 hours for a wrecker. I was 200 miles from home. I have had not stop problems and my truck has been in the shop more than on the road. This truck can’t pull any load, not even one round bail without backfireing. The dealer replace all kinds of expensive items such as Fuel injectors, fuel pump, EGR and alot more. They could never fix it and I was told they did not know what was wrong just trade it in for a new modlel. Yeah right, do I have stupid written on my face or what. I bought a Dodge Cummins. Now I have 109,000 and the EGR cooler goes out. I was quoted $2200-$8800 for repairs depending on if the heads are warped. MY truck was under warrenty and ford did not honor nothing. I have alway purchased Ford trucks until now. I just want whats fair, a truck that works. It never did.
I paid about $45,000 and probably the same amount in repairs. ford could never fix it. Like others have said on this site its all the same problem that everyone else is haveing. Can’t pull nothing with it. No power, backfires, and it’s been sitting up for the last 6 months because it’s another $8800 to fix the same thing that could never be fixed by ford. Ford do whats wright. We trusted you in buying your product. No wonder why people are buying overseas vehicles! I want in on this lawsuit.
Please advise on class action suit against Ford Motor Company regarding the 6.0 motor in the Ford F-250 series. We own a 2004 F-250 pickup truck and have spent thousand repairing the truck. We have 71,000 miles and have never abused the vehicle. Thank you.
Well Ihope that I can get some reinvestment from ford myself.
I have replaced five injectors, new head ,new head gasket, oil cooler and so much more ,it is ridiculous someone should pay for all these cost not the owners of truck.I have like 10000$ of receiptss to show it will break you I fixed it and pay on it monthly but afraid to use it.personally cannot afford another breakdown.I am out of cash honestly it broke me.sure wish some intelligiant lawyer would approach them and get our money back.
Ok lets start paint peel at 54000 egr and injector 56000 told them about turbo said it was ok now 101000 turbo wont build boost cold start is out of the question runs like crap once it starts scared to drive it… Bad part it is a regency package all the bells and whistles now its a yard ornament maybe a tree will fall on it so I can buy a dodge…. just looked outside no luck,….. sign me up!!!!
have had two 04 f350 the first one ford dealership took back under lemonlaw to many problems to list in under 20,000 miles they replaced it with a new 04 of my choice. I have about 80,000 miles on the second one had new turbo at 20,000 miles trans temp sensor at 60,000 miles EGR cooler and oil cooler replaced at 65,000 I love the truck hate the motor Ford needs to step up and be loyal to there customers. the next time this engine breaks it Cummins conversion time, add me to your suit please.
I have a 2003 F350 4dr 4×4 dually with 60,000 miles, that im afraid to drive. You cant get rid of them because nobody wants them. Ford even says they dont want them as trade in or they dont want to give any kind of money trade in. I bought the truck thinking I would get 300k to 400 k miles like the other power strokes I owned. JUNK
how do i join the suit call me Dwayne 931 372 8792
I would like to join this as well…
im about 10k into repairs and still dont trust the damn truck….
I’m interested in joining the suit as well. Had my 05 F350 6.0 in the shop for oil leaks, crank no starts and crank hard starts. Ford did replace the ICP under warranty but, never fixed the oil leak. Truck continues to have starting issues. In fact, it won’t start at all now. I have ordered diagnostic software to try and troubleshoot myself since I cannot afford the dealership rates or the possibility of the problem not being fixed. This is my primary vehicle that I depend on to get me to work and I cannot afford to rent a car why it is in the shop. I hope a resolution to cover the cost of all known defects can be attained i.e. HPOP STC fittings, ICP, FICM and who know what else.
I would love to hear more about the lawsuit as i have a 2004 excursion that is currently using 1.5 gallons of coolant a week. I was told it has a bad oil cooler, a bad egr cooler and or possible blown head gasket. I was quoted 6500 for the repaires but cant afford them at this time. It would be nice if ford would actually stand behind the product they sold.
I have a 2006 F-350 with 150k miles and it is in the shop right now. I’m tired of having problems with it. I want to become a plantiff in your lawsuit.
I have a 2006 350 and have been having problems since i purchased the vehicle and still continue to to do so. My vehicle stopped running 2 weeks ago and is in the shop again. They have not returned my calls at Ford. Who can join the class action lawsuit?
How do I join the class action suit. I have had my 04 6.0 liter in two years in a row each time around $2,000. Now the EGR is going and that will be another couple thousand. I have under 80,000 miles on the truck
