CHRYSLERS ARE THE WORST CARS MADE HERE!I purchased a used 2002 Jeep Liberty on 10/30/2010,it has gone back to the dealer 5 times since then dead. They never did find the real cause they just keep replacing the battery.I don’t think they’re very good either!
We have two jeep libertys and they both have windows that have malfunctioned we are ready to join the class action lawsuit.
I believe there is a good opportunity for a class action against Chrysler regarding the abomination known as the 2005 – 2006 Jeep Liberty Diesel engine equipped SUV.

How do join this suit? I have had to replace 7 on my 2006 jeep
I have replaced all 4 window regulators 12x in total. When we buy brand new cars we expect them to be safe and secure. I’ve never had confidence in my Liberty but, was repeatedly told by Jeep that they could fix the problem, 12x’s later… I now know that they were aware of the regulator defect when they sold it to me and they gladly took my money and let me drive away. I have all of my paperwork and a sharp memory, it’s time to take action.
Is there a way I can join this lawsuit? 2006 Jeep Liberty Have fixed the windows so many times that we finally had to have 2 of the 4 windows permanently sealed because our daughter (who we purchased the car for) was far away at college and these constant trips to Jeep to have the window fixed were impossible. The fourth window.
My o4 Jeep Liberty has been window problems which I had it repaired 10 th time. I want to file a law suit against Chrysler.
I have the same window problems with my jeep liberty sport 2003 and i cant seem to find any help.
HELP !!! I NEED HELP FOR THE LAWSUIT AGAINST CHRYSLER FOR MY 2004 LIBERTY JEEP WINDOW PLM 10 TH TIME..
I have replaced ALL 4 windows on my 2006 Liberty. The dealer service dept said that jeep knew that the new regulators were defective (they have gone back to the old ones) and would need to replace them with the old parts. The service said “we don’t know why they don’t recall them! “.
** I have also had my ABS lights on constantly and it feels like my breaks aren’t catching. I have had sensors and wires fixed 3 times and it’s going back today! Anything going on with that?? It’s a common problem with this model.
How can I join this lawsuit My 2003 jeep windows are all broken will not let down. The whole fan system is out. This car electrical system has failed once again. I need to be on this lawsuit
Just replaced my rear window regulator again. Luckily it was the same window they had fixed 9 months ago and done under warranty or i’d be out another $350. I wont ever buy another chrysler product, becuase they refuse to recognize there is a problem here.
window problems, engine cuts off while driving, electrical problems…reported to chrysler and us dept. of safety and us congressman…car is a safety hazard to drive
Hi,
I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty and both rear window regulators needed to be replaced. I have fixed the passenger side, but not the driver’s side.
How do I join this lawsuit?
Did you get an answer on how to join the suit?
I have had both of my back rear windows repaired within two months apart of each other. I spent over $700 to repair both. My jeep liberty is 2003 with less than 100,000 miles at the time they stopped working.
I bought a 2007 Jeep Liberty in 2010. The first problem was with the windows. They keep coming off track. After months of dealing with Orr Honda in Texarkana, AR. they said they were finally fixed by replacing the regulators or something like that in each of them. Less then 6 months later the rear driver side went out. They said that I had just ran out of warranty and it would be 330.00 Then the driver side window went out and now today the passenger window went out. I cannot afford all of these window problems….is there somewhere I can turn to with the company? I want my vehicle fixed or them to take it back. Please help

How can I get on this lawsuite I own a 2007 Jeep liberty and had 3 of my windows replace about 2 years ago today 2 Nov 2011 I had another window drop down on me. Is their a recall to fix this problem at 300+ a window is getting pretty expense of. Thanks for any help you can provide
How do you join..??
As I have another broken one, now, on my 2007 KJ, I hope that your class action can include international owners.
Does anyone from the Lawyers in control of the case, actually know we exist here?
I have seen many requests for information on how to join, but no responses. What’s going on?
Count me in as my 2007 Jeep Liberty just has front passenger-side door window falling down without any cause. I had both sides of rear door window broken and they are fixed.
I have to put my vehicle in shop ASAP to fix the latest defective one.
Anyway, I got unexpected call from my local Jeep dealership as they wanted to know how my Jeep has been doing. No wonder it has to do with defective door window.
I look forward to hearing from an attorney for this class action.
I have had the same problem with, my rear back window. It was pouring rain that day and I felt a draft on my neck. I looked at the back window and it was down, I though I must have done it. No! It was stuck, and fell on it’s own. I could not get that damn window to go up to save my life. About 20mins later after the back seat was soaked, I got the damn thing to go up. I’ve never rolled it down since lol!
I have now experienced a regulator failure for the third time. I really worry about this happening with children in the car. What if you had an infant in the back seat and were going through a car wash! The window just drops anytime. No warning. This could be very dangerous. What if it happens in a huge storm in the middle of nowhere? I am very sad, because I wanted to keep my car for more than 100000 miles. Now I am considering purchasing a different car only 50000 miles in because I am worried about this happening in a car wash or storm and I am very concerned about my safety. I almost wrecked on the freeway this week when it happened. It really scared me.
I have problems with the Jeep Liberty 2008 with the slider roof. It does not function correctly because of design. My dealer claims it cannot be fixed. Driving this vehicle is like being in a wind tunnel. The noise is unbearable. The dealer cannot fix it he admitted he has at least 10 to 12 more customers with the same complaint. He told me it is not repairable.
The other issues I have is the heater and airconditioners are constantly breaking and now my gas tank value they say is broke. I am out of warranty now and they refuse to acknowledge or to anything except try to repair these defects at my expense. Who can join me in a class action law suit for the above defects in Chryslers manufactering and design?
Sincerely yours,
Dennis Slapo
I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade and this is the third time in the last 2 years that I have had to replace the left rear window regulator. I contacted Jeep and they told me they could be of no assistance to me because my vehicle was out of warranty. It is pretty clear by all the complaints that I have read on the internet, that this is a manufacturers defect. I not only would like help from Jeep, but would also like more info on the Class Action Lawsuit, as in this case it seems to be warranted. There are alot of people out there who just do no have the money to fix things repeatedly.
How do I join this class action law suit? I previously owned a liberty 4 years ago and sold it after the 5th time getting the windows fixed. Now my wife owns a liberty and now this is the 4th time it has happened to her liberty.
How do I join this lawsuit??
2004 Liberty Sport.
L/R regulator replaced. First one-guess I’m “lucky”.
Out of warranty. Chrysler actually reimbursed me about 75% of cost after contacting their customer service department!
Now having intermittent high-idle issue. Shop replaced the TPS.
Also cleaned the IAC in throttle body.
Symptom is back but not as bad………”stay tuned”.
We have a 2003 liberty sport it has 1 window that works now. The rest I’ve tied up so they don’t come down. It’s a shame they take our money and we give it freely for fraudulent products. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Our local dealer gives an estimate upwards for parts and labor to $1500.00. That’s what I would call stealing from the public. Aftermarkets are no better deal. What are we to do? Jeep you owe us!!
How do I join this action against Jeep? I have replaced both window regulators on my 2003 jeep liberty 8 times. 3 times on left rear and 5 times on rt rear-the last time the regulator only lasted 7 months. I had it replace in august 2011 and again march 2012
Has anyone ever figured out how to join this suit? I just bought a used 03in January 2012 has been fine until 2 days ago when the window went down. Reading up on everyone else’s issues has beyond pissed me off. Any feed back will be great, otherwise i am taking my stack of research to ZimmerChrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and demanding something be done about it.
I have had 3 different windows on my 2005 Jeep Liberty with a total of 6 problems where the window drops down for no apparent reason! Chrysler will not do anything to help correct this on going issue despite acknowledging that the problem exists on theor 2006 and 2007 models. STAY AWAY FROM CHRYSLER VEHICLES!
I have a 2005 jeep liberty and I have this problem with my rear windows. The window dropped one time and it was raining and hailing so bad I was so afraid. I had my infant grandson in the back seat just screaming and hollering. Hail was flying everywhere hitting him in the face, he was in so much pain and had visible bruising.
Something need to be done about this right away, before others are hurt and possible handicapped as a result.
How do you join the lawsuit – I am on my Second window – the Jeep Dealership whats 500.00 to fix it again after just 2 yrs – I am not paying them a dime….
Was refused by Chrysler corporate customer service just today to have my ’06 Liberty Sport 3.7 rear driver window regulator repaired. Was instructed to take it in to the dealership to have it inspected and they’d see what they could do. I did, they said it was the regulator and it was a $400 repair, I informed corporate and they refused me because, get this, I had taken my Jeep to somewhere other than the dealership for an oil change! Wtf? If corporate wasn’t so arbitrary on how they decided who to help/how they decide they pay for these repairs, they might not have a class action suit against them. Take responsibility Chrysler! These bad parts are not our fault and we shouldn’t have to pay anything for these repairs! No matter how many miles, how many owners, where we get our oil changed, or how many times you’ve put the same bad part in and it has broken again! Get it right, or karma will bite you later. Sign me up for this class action suit. I’m calling this attorney in CA tomorrow!
I thought Chrysler made decent vehicles but I guess I was wrong , just bought my 2007 jeep liberty in December 2011 and 1 Window is completely non usable and it has jammed the door shut to where the door is non usable and two other windows are in the process of not being usable, and now there is a recall on the lower arm suspension in the rear end which they will check but they wont do anything about the windows, they want me to pay for having them even looked at. It is a shame you pay 13,000 for a vehicle and it starts falling apart within 2 moths of ownership. Should have went with a Ford. they Chrysler sure doesnt tand by it’s vehicles.
So I’ve had this 2003 Jeep Liberty for a while and have had to fix the right side back passenger window several times. Now, the left side back passenger one just dropped in with no warning. Where do I get help? Please advice.
I have a 05 leep liberty and the regulator on the back door driver’s side broke. I cant fix cause the door wont open. can this repair be done with the door closed? the best jeeps made was CJ5 and CJ7. No door issues here
I would love to be in a lawsuit….fixed 4 times
Now both back windows have fallen
Can’t afford to fix them and chrysler will not fix
Told me to fix and they would see if they could do anything
Can’t afford a new car or I’d be gone….
Anyone know how to get in the lawsuit????
If I had known about these window regulator problems, I would never had purchased the 2 jeep liberty vehicles yesterday July 7, 2012. Today July 8, 2012 I had my passenger side window flaa all the way down into the door. I only had the car 1 day and this happened already. The libertys I purchased are a 2005 and a 2007. This happened today with the 2007 and I went online to see if it were a simple fix. Being disabled I don’t have the funds right now to have this fixed and of course there were no warranty when I purchased them. I would love to be a part of this lawsuit. I’m already taping all the other windows after reading all the complaints. I cannot see Chryler winning this lawsuit due to their defect. Anyone know how to get help, please email me at tbuchinski@msn.com
Had all window regulators repaired and just had one “repaired” for the second time. Can’t wait to unload this car. Is this lawsuit still ongoing?
I am now going on my 5th time fixing my rear windows on my 2006 Jeep Liberty due to faulty regulators. They break for no reason and slide down inside the door whether we use the windows or not. How can I join this class action lawsuit?
I have finally ran out of money replacing these regulators and glasses. I ran it to the top and pinned it shut. I’m selling this P.O.S.
I have spent well over $700 fixing this problem in my
2005 Jeep Liberty….Please let me know if there is anything I can do to get my money back! I have saved all invoices because at some point th ey need to be held accountable for this. So sad, I made sure I bought American too!
My rear window drops in door, plastic part is broke they said it cost 180.0 to get the part to relace it on my model but on another door of the same model year they said was 70.0. And was not told about any recall. but the people next door said they had a recall on there 07 liberty for the same problem.
I have a 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited. I have had the same problem with the windows in the the back. I had to get repairs that cost around $200.oo each time. Chrysler need to recall the piece that regulate the windows. I am so tired of going to the dealership to pay for the same problem!
I am ready to join! my jeep liberty gave me nothing but issues concerning both back windows. I complained frequently and often after the 5th time of having to pay for these regulators out of my pocket (although Chrysler did pay for them 4 other times as it was under warranty) finally traded-in the vehicle, but it was nothing but a headache. please keep us informed on how to join. jennaiyn@yahoo.com
I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty – all windows have fallen into the door and been repaired at least 4 times each at a cost of about 350 bucks! It’s crazy that Chrysler can get away with this. Why do I have to pay for thier defective parts?
Just bought my 5th regulator for my 06 liberty. Getting to be an expert at changeing them. I can do it usually in less than an hour. The first one was fixed under warrenty, but the next four were on my ticket. The first one I bought was $54 at the dealership. Now they want $195 plus tax for the part. Got one at local auto parts store for $99 with a lifetime warrenty.
This is my 4th jeep product. I’m usually satisfied with the product line but this has me thinking Ford or Honda
I have had the same problem I have a 2006Jeep liberty but can’t afford to fix it. I talked to someone about it and doing a recall but had pay 100.00 to get it checked by the dealership still can’t afford that.
Regulator just failed on driver side of my 2004 Liberty Sport. Is this lawsuit still open?
Regulator just failed for the second time on my 2004 Liberty Sport. Plus Transmission! Chrysler step up!!!!!
I would also like more info on this lawsuit as my 2004 Liberty had this part recently break on it as well!!… any updates??
I have been reading a few of the thousands of complaints regarding my Jeep almost all of them have the same problem as I do.
The following articles state the average cost for fixing the problem is approximate cost of repair is $380.00 I am on my 5th window repair in 4 months plus 11 or 12 more replacements in the past, ($2000.00 is 18 months of repairs without a warranty?
This problem started since the Jeep was purchased well documented not only by me but by thousands on the net plus hundreds of class action law suits.
I am not asking for a new Jeep, All I want is for Jeep to do what’s right
I would be happy if Jeep would do the right thing and replace all my windows with improved aftermarket parts that work with a warranty for a reasonable amount of time and be HEAVELYcompensated for the many visits to the dealership 2 or 3 times for each repair, rent a cars and many hours of inconvenience due to the dealers continually repairing my Jeep knowing they are using defective manufactured parts and documented facts such as Design flaws in the window parts and when the windows are down the noise is unbarrable another Design flaw. Using the same defective, design flawed parts is not going to fix the problem. this is not right, help
That’s not what I paid for, not manufactured defective Design fllawed window parts.
Looking forward to your comments
Thank you, Steve
I purchased a 06 Jeep Liberty from CARMAX in 2009. The day after I purchased the car, the passenger side window stop working. I took it back to CARMAX for them to repair it. They called me when the repair was ready and at the time of inspection the rear passenger window stopped working. I was very lucky that this happened early on in my purchase because I did not have to pay for those repairs…BUT…in September of this year my driver side window regulator broke…the glass slid down in the door. I had to pay almost $400 for the repair. NOW it is December and gues what? My rear driver side window regulator is broken? Are you kidding me? I called the corporate number and they said that they could not do anything to help me…I am ready to join this lawsuit as well…I hope that each of you have called the corporate number to file a formal complaint as well because I was told that the more complaints they receive the likelihood of a recall would increase so PLEASE call corporate….I was also told to hold on to my receipts because if a recall is ever done…we can be compensated for the money that we have spent…PLEASE tell me how to join…The corporate number to file a formal complaint is 1-877-IAM-JEEP (1-877-426-5337) Have your vin number ready….
@37,000 mi: back glass falls out completely on the freeway
@42,000 mi: air conditioner stops blowing cold air
@55,000 mi: gas overflow problem
@ 74,000 mi: ignition actuator pin breaks off
@76,000 mi: window regulator fails
plus the numerous other recalls for this vehicles
All paid for out of my own pocket. Why should I buy another jeep?
I own a 2003 jeep liberty 6 CYL & there is so much problems with it, both back windows dont roll down, top back brake light is rusted and i have to use duck tape to keep it in place, lower ball joints snapped wgile driving AFTER previously changing it due to a RECALL, frobt ball joint was changed as well but out of MY POCKET, Suspension & shocks sound really bad on the right side of vehicle! From what i tgink with SO MUCH RECALLS And now ANOTHER ONE they should recall the whole vehicle and replace it! My baby was in the car while my ball right lower ball joint snapped but Cars PLus, Guam refused to change it for free because a couple of years ago thy had changed it due to a recall! I love my jeep but i cant keep up with all these issues! What they need to do is RECALL BOTH BACK WINDOWS , ALL suspension and ball joints! I refuse to grt into an accident while my kids are in this vehicle!!
I’m so frustrated! I have duc tape holding my window! This is the second time my window has failed. I didn’t even know that this was a known issue. I plan to call and make a complaint. I really hope this issue gets resolved but I highly doubt it will. Well see! I’m spreading the word….don’t buy a Jeep Liberty.
Bought our daughter a2003 liberty four yrs ago and we and getting ready to have to fixed window number 3! Called jeep and no recall, recall on the air bag but they don’t even have parts for that!!! Want in this lawsuit. The are terrible. Each window has cost us over $300
I have an ’04 Jeep Liberty where the regulator in the driver’s side broke, but the window still went up and down not too bad and with a little guidance. Just took it in for inspection and now it doesn’t work at all! Nothing they can do. I at least got them to put the window back up! Now I’m calling corporate. This is crazy. Just fix it. I’d be happy to be a part of this lawsuit.
We bought a 2005 Jeep Liberty used from the local dealership and paid for a 3 year extended warranty. We had the rear, driver’s side window repaired twice under warranty for the $100 deductible each time. Now it is out of warranty and the same window is broken again. I have an appointment Thursday and am interested in what they will say. If they want to charge me for the repair, I will likely use aftermarket parts. Why pay to put a defective part back in. I will also try to join this lawsuit. It is inconvenient at the least to have the same part break repeatedly.
I own a 2006 Jeep Liberty on which I have replaced the passenger side rear window in Sep 2009 and the driver side rear window in Dec 2011 an now June 2013 the passenger side window has broken again. I have contacted Chrysler aboutthis three times and am always told there is no recall for this year for this problem. I have asked for a contact number for the person who makes the final decision on recalls but am always denied this info. I would like to join this lawsuit and would appreciate being advised on how to do so.
Thanks
H.L. Nicholson
Three windows now held up with duct tape! What’s the status of this class action suit? How do I join?
Is there a way I can join this lawsuit? 2006 Jeep Liberty Have fixed the windows so many times that we finally had to have 2 of the 4 windows permanently sealed because our daughter (who we purchased the car for) was far away at college and these constant trips to Jeep to have the window fixed were impossible and costly once the warranty was up. The fourth window has now broken again. I have spoken to Chrysler customer service and they basically said that 60,000 (Jeep in mind condition otherwise) does not allow for any warranty work. These windows have been breaking since day one and even when they were fixed they continued to break within in months. Why should we have a car that has permanently sealed windows (not even safe) just because the jeep was manufactured with faulty design.
I want to join this lawsuit. This should be Chrysler’s problem, not the owners of the vehicle. My 2005 windows had been repaired at least 5 times already and now I have 2 windows that had already been repaired in 2010 that fell and Chrysler wants me to pay $170. to get them fixed again!! Not fair or good business.
I have a 2004jeep liberty nothing but problems constantly .from wheel sensors replace 5 times.and window problems.rear end seals leaking. Under the hood sensors problems.constantly lifting the hood more and more.I’m loaded and now the dam thing is know to explode I’ve had enough. I want jeep to eat this and give my money back and put there family in it and let them drive around in it a see if it’s safe for them to own one. Trade in is going to be nothing because the dealership awear of the problems and they no they can’t unload it because of the problems
After having both back window regulators break now the front drivers side broke. I made the mistake of going to the dealer to repair the two back windows. They charged me $180 for two regulators and over $500 labor. I will never buy another Chrysler product. I now have the back windows locked and never use them. I know the front will break again soon after it is repaired.
Bought a 2003 and as with everyone else both windows and broken 7 months apart the price for repairs is impossible for me as a single mother, someone please help with the information on the class action lawsuit, good luck to everyone.
I like all the other people in this group have experienced the same problem with the window regulators breaking–I have had my 2006 Jeep Liberty in repair 5 times to have this repaired–now it happens again on the front drivers window–I contact Chrysler–Bree

CHRYSLER EXTENDS THE LIBERTY WINDOW WARRANTY
IN LATE 2010, CHRYSLER SENT OUT THIS NOTICE TO 2006-2007 JEEP LIBERTY OWNERS. HERE’S AN ABRIDGED COPY:

WE ARE EXTENDING THE WARRANTY PERIOD FOR THE WINDOW LIFT PLATE REPAIRS BECAUSE SOME VEHICLES HAVE EXPERIENCES REPEAT CONCERNS WITH WINDOW COMPONENTS–IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THE CONDITIONS AS DESCRIBED IN THIS WARRANTY EXTENSION WITHIN 7 YEARS FROM THE VEHICLES IN SERVICE DATE, SIMPLY CONTACT YOUR DEALER TO HAVE THE REPAIRS PERFORMED
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED THIS WINDOW REGULATOR CONCERN AND HAVE PAID TO HAVE IT REPAIRED, YOU MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT

THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO 2006 JEEP LIBERTY’S WITH A BUILD DATE BEFORE MARCH 16, 2006
WTF–this has been going on for nearly 8 years and they do nothing about fixing the problem–I watched a YouTube on the repair of this item–do you realize it is a plastic unit–if purchased from your Jeep dealer will cost you $50–then nearly $200 to replace it–and the reason it keeps breaking is because all that is holding it together is braided wire screwed into this plastic piece–when pull comes it stretches and brakes–it must be recalled and replaced but they want nothing to do with it–well today I will try again to reason with them–if not I like the others will file a class action suit against Chrysler for a faulty window regulator on 2006 Jeep Libertys
I want to join the Class Action suit against Chrysler for the Jeep Liberty known defective windows. How do I do that?
Thank you!
DOES ANYONE KNOW how t join this Class Action Suit?
I have a 2002 jeep liberty and both back windows are out one’s locked up and the other has fallen into the door. Is this lawsuit still in effect and how can I join.
We were like to be added to the class action suit. How do we do this? We purchased a 2006 jeep liberty used. So far we have only had to replace only 2 windows (who knows how many times before we purchased it). I was unaware that Chrysler knew about the problem until we received a notice from an attorney about Chrysler defects. When I contacted them, I was informed that they could not help us since we did not have the repairs done at a dealership. I then went to the jeep problems website and called the 800 number. When I gave them the VIN number, the representative stated that our model was not covered under the recall. How convenient! I would still like to pursue this. Any one who can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
How do u get arrested in this class action law suite
I ment get started in this class action law suit
I have had 5 window motors replaced, fought with dealership and Chrysler – kept getting different reasons for Chrysler not at least helping pay cost. For every excuse – I gave a reason why the excuse was invalid. Basically – they don’t want to pay. Chrysler recognized there was any issue – as the company began using a different motor, however, Chrysler refuses to issue a recall – claiming that this does not pose a danger to driver – even though one of the windows that broke on my vehicle was the front driver’s side window that broke when I was driving. It is reprehensible that this issue has been ignored but even more so how the company is treating those that are stepping forward asking for assistance. Shame on you Chrysler!!!! Jeeps used to be indestructible – no longer!
I bought my Jeep Liberty in 2008 and the windows/regulators were replaced four times. This is not the only problem I have had with this Jeep. I am now dealing with an misfire from my sixth cylinder in which no one will take responsibility for. This engine has had several problems and Chrysler has refused to deal with it. It is so bad that Chrysler has stop making the engine. If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit for the engine, I would like to be a part of it. The only advice I can give Liberty owners is to get rid of it.
I have had to replace my back windows 3 times and now my front right window just fell in. I called Chrysler but since my Jeep is 2005 there is no defect that has been recognized (which is bullshit).
I wish I could join this lawsuit but I am in UT and don’t think that I can. If anyone knows differently please let me know.
I have 2 Liberties. I think I have replaced a total of 6 regulators. Besides the cost of that My vehicles have suffered damage to paint & Window tinting because of having to tape the windows back up into position. Using Blue tape and other safer tape didn’t work because of the weight of the windows. Had to use a stronger tape to hold window into position. Colateral damage was paint and window tint.
#2 Not sure if other buyers have run across this problem but in both vehicles my leather seats have started to come apart in the drivers seat in the same place with less than 100k Replacement of just 1 seat would have run $700. I opted for a repair and that only lasted a few months. Seems like poor material or design.
