A class action lawsuit has been filed against Bissell Homecare, Inc. (“Bissell Homecare” or “Bissell”) and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (“Wal-Mart Stores” or “Walmart”) (collectivey “Defendants”) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama , Southern Division (styled Mandi Green v. Bissell Homecare, Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Civil Action Case No. CV-1–k-2421-S), alleging, among other things, that Bissell and Wal-Mart market vacuums and carpet cleaners, such as Bissell PowerSteamers, as Power Steamers, Steam Vacs and/or Steam Cleaners that purportedly are incapable of producing any steam and instead use ordinary hot tap water unheated by the product, according to a class action lawsuit news report.
The Bissell Homecare and Wal-Mart Stores PowerSteamers class action lawsuit complaint is reportedly brought on behalf of the following putative class of persons, unless otherwise excluded:
All persons who, in the last six years, have purchased a Bissell Steam Cleaner or PowerSteamer from Wal-Mart in any of the 50 states of the United States.
